One of the best hotel in Lae. Food here is excellent. Plenty of in house restaurants. Kokomo restaurant has excellent choice of dishes. Very calm with medium crowd. Service is excellent. Didn't get a chance to check out the souvenir shop, could find pretty interesting things on display. Currency change available for in-house guests.

Wonderful place - a highly-recommended way to spend a relaxing morning or afternoon in Port Moresby. I have found that 2 hours is a good amount of time. I became a member after my first visit, just to support the park- because it’s so great. Sometimes I go just to have a peaceful walk.

Clean comfortable & good food. The razor wire fence was a bit off-putting, but you get that in PNG.

My stay was okay. Some parts of the hotel area is very dark at night and it's scary to walk alone. Would be much better if they could light it up with lamp posts or solar lights.

This is by far the best hotel in town, but probably just above average if compared with big international hotel chain. Keep in mind this is Papua New Guinea, and Lae we are speaking of so I am not going to rate this the same with some fancy Marriott, IHG or Hilton hotel brand which I have all stayed and accquired high tier status. If you are here for work or just visiting which I doubt there is any since tourism is non-existent, this is the only choice in town given the hotel's location, security and overall level of service, there is no comparison. Now Lae Internarional Hotel has been around since 1987, so it's showing a bit of age, but service is top-notch. Food is actually pretty good, though don't expect anything fancy. What they offer may be what I would call predictable, but for that, they did it well, just not Michelin level stuff. Burger, pizza, and causal dining type of dishes are on par but not spectacular... If I have one thing to complain about, it would be the room, it looks very dated, and WIFI is spotty, if your room is not close to the main hotel lobby, then good luck. Have to anchor myself in the hotel restaurant to get a decent signal.

I've been staying at the "LAE inter" regularly for over 30 years. The security, charm of open covered walkways through tropical landscaped gardens, large comfortably fitted rooms, coupled with friendly sevice and a good choice of restaurants and bars to suit all occasions. The LAE inter has always remained consistently excellent over a 30 year period..

Lae inter does not seem to change much, possibly the rooms are getting a little tired and irs a long walk from reception to some of the rooms. Seemed on my current visit that some prices had been trimmed and the breakfast buffet has been restored. Staff are still friendly and efficient. Still a pleasure to stay here and still recommended

The hotel has a conducive environment, it's safe and secured by arm guards and static guards. The rooms are well looked after and maintained after every visitor leaves. Customer service, however, is okay but needs to be more polite in manner of approach and respect. The location is better because it's located right in the city.

What a fun day out wandering the lovely gardens, looking at the birds and animals in the walk in enclosures. Arrive at feeding time for the best viewing, the birds and animals will be so close and not afraid. There is ia cafeteria serving food and coffee and a gift shop however, we had a picnic at one of the many covered picnic tables. The place is huge with many clearly signed paths winding through thick rainforest and over creeks in some areas

It occupies a really massive compound. Resort style rooms. Eateries does not offer much choice of dishes. Furnishing in the rooms are very dated. Not the most modern of places.

Lae international hotel is located in lae top town so in terms of accessibility it is definitely the place to book in if you have meetings in and around town or if you would like to visit public government offices.

I admire the spacious two bedrooms unit design at Salamoa Wing Apartment cause that's where I was during my swing in Lae City. Security surveillance is good and people are friendly. My apartment is always kept clean and laundry is done on time and when returned, none goes missing. Receptionists are friendly, helpful and have local knowledge around Lae City. My time there was awesome πŸ‘

My recent experience at Lae International Hotel was quite disappointing. I was on a business trip and decided to have dinner at their outdoor bar area for some fresh air. However, my colleague and I were denied entry because we were wearing flip flops. This seemed quite arbitrary and unfair, as there were no explicit dress code rules mentioned beforehand. Instead, we were directed to the restaurant by the entrance, where we had to wait for nearly an hour to be seated. The wait time for meals was equally frustrating, and the level of service was subpar. It was clear that the staff was overwhelmed and understaffed, which resulted in long delays and a lack of attentive service. In conclusion, I would not recommend dining at Lae International Hotel if you're looking for a pleasant and efficient dining experience. The strict dress code policy and the lengthy wait times for meals showcase a lack of customer-centric approach and attention to detail. It would be wise to explore other dining options in the area to avoid similar disappointments.

I recently visited Kokomo restaurant at Lae International Hotel and was impressed by its classic and elegant ambiance. The recent renewal has elevated the overall look and feel, creating a very clean and inviting atmosphere. The staff was friendly, adding to the positive experience. We opted for the seafood pizza, a generous family-sized portion priced at 80 Kina. The pizza was delicious, with a perfect blend of flavors. The combination of a refined setting, amiable service, and tasty dishes make Kokomo a standout choice in Lae. A wonderful place for those seeking a delightful dining experience.

Good place. Stayed for a couple of days. Wifi a challenge though. Food is good. Room has TV, Aircon, fair lighting, a balcony and carpark as well near the rooms. Quite area. Offers room service and visa card payment options on POS and ATMs. Good food from restaurant. Staff friendly. Access to town generally 10minutes and close by. Secure and I would visit again on the next chance. The hotel in Lae I would say.

Very nice place with a nice amount of animals to see. Walk around takes maybe an hour or so depending on your pace. You might also see a ton of huge fruit bats. Definely visit it if your around. There's also a souvenir shop, cafΓ© and a playground for kids. Perfect place for families to visit. There might be some mosquitoes as it's a bit shady in the "jungle", so perhaps dress accordingly and use some repellents.

Amazingly, Lae City Hotel has very spacious rooms compared to bigger hotels, even comparable to hotels in Port Moresby. Good menu selection, although room service hours need extension. Chauffeuring services for tourists would greatly increase repeat stays and improvements on entertainment facilities for guests increase daily spending. On a bigger scale though, Lae has greatly changed in terms of infrastructure and is increasingly becoming a tourist attraction, and therefore, much more work is needed to improve conditions for tourists. Road infrastructure and transportation are the biggest challenges that is affecting business opportunities. There are many hard working people in Lae and Security services provided by Security companies have improved significantly. Lae can improve it's night life and provide entertainment for tourists, which will encourage repeat visits. Overall it's a great place to visit. Although, much needed improvement is required in behavioral attitudes towards alchohol consumption in hotels. Spacious rooms

One of the very few good hotels in Lae ciry. Nice and clean but front desk is not helpful. Internet is unstable. It is good, however, laundry is inexpensive as you fill up a basket with 10 to 12 pieces of clothing for 10 US dollers.

The restaurant is very nice. Good variety of meals. Open from 6am through the day and for dinner. Room was neat and tidy however the AC didn't work and there are no ceiling fans. Be sure to check with reception about any airport transfers. And re-confirm. Staff were friendly. Quote expensive at K600 per night.

Good meals. Cold drinks. First place I stayed in Lae. Comfortable rooms. Huge functions room with the best buffet you could find, superb seafood. Restaurants with choices of cuisines. Italian or western. Counter meals at the poolside bar.

A nature inspired design hotel. From usage of wood as pillar at the hotel entrance to staircase and canopy towards the rooms. Although a little bit old style design of rooms and need an upgrade bit with complete amenities of coffee and tea and at the bathroom. Only the shower room a bit too small. Buffet breakfast is always the same menu on fruits, salad, rice, sausage, bacons and minched pork. Only loaf bread available. The restaurant have lots of menu to choose from at an appropriate price. Must try roast of the day. And I love the rack of lamb and chicken maryland. Have the sports bar with happy hour on wednesday and saturday nights at determined hour, with live band but only 1 group playing. Never tried the swimming pool. Efficient and fast laundry service. With atm machines inside the compound. It is also located to a nearby walking distance shopping center and supermarket Security is very good and a very friendly staff. Definitely recommendable and would like to comeback again.

Meals are expensive but good, rooms REALLY expensive and not value for money, drinks at the bar are INSANELY EXPENSIVE. City and Morobe hotels have rooms of much better quality, and food of equal or better quality and value, drinks a third of the price.

Im giving this place 3 stars. An upmarket hotel, has a variety of services to offer. My review is quite mixed. I loved the the food. 2 weeks here gave me time to appreciate the beautifully prepared dishes on the menu. I would definitely recommend the rack of lamb, the tropical chicken salad and the Godfather pizza if its pizza you want. Give me the deliciously prepared hot chocolate topped with caramel source with the hotels Logo. Food aside, i got the deluxe room which us spacious and cozy. I have no problems with the room, except for the fact that sound proofing is terrible. I could literally hear almost everything happeing next door. In addition, the wifi was terrible except for when you are closer to the hotel foyer. Laundry should be a complimentary service. But thats only my opinion considering the cost customers have to pay. Having said all, the pleasant staff do alot to ensure your stay is comfortable. The Lae International Hotel can do better to improve on all facets and be the same award winner it used to be in yester years.

Great place to stay while in Lae. The food is good, the staff friendly & helpful. I enjoy the morning walk from the rooms to the breakfast table, through the gardens, lovely way to start a day.

Lae International Hotel is a great layout and "campus" with gardens and even some beautiful PNG birds in display pens. The restaurant is good, the bar/pub is also good. Great pool and deck. Pretty good gym.

Centrally located in the heart of Papua New Guinea's second largest city. Secure with a girt shop located next to the lobby on arrival and a swimming pool next to the main conference center.

They prepare the best pizza in town, the place is great and is more convenient to move around in Lae city when visiting Lae.

The Lae International Hotel is your first choice for leisure and business alike. Home to many corporate business meetings held in the Province the Lae International Hotel convention facilities are the largest in the region and meet the conference and commercial needs of many of our clients. Furthermore it is an extremely private place to stay. The hotel is within short distance of the commercial hub of town, its banks, shopping centres, post office, international schools and hospitals and many of the Provincial Government Offices in Lae. Transfers can be easily arranged. As suggested in the name the hotel offers International standards of service which are complimented by the serenity and peacefulness of this lush tropical sanctuary,
