Fried (cracklings) is very champion and problem on wings are small. I am little disappointed with waffle because it's too hard on waffle. Grits with gravy on shrimps and perfect on cheese. I am black deaf from out of town and thank Gerald on TikTok to hear about this restaurant

We started the meal with Banging Shrimp. It was really good with Hot Honey sauce. My wife got a Burger with Blackened Shrimp on top. It was a good take on a Surf and Turf Burger. I went with a classic Meatloaf which is special on Tuesday. The Meatloaf had both red and brown gravy options and was good as well. One of my favorite parts of the meal was the cornbread dressing, which reminded me of home. We would encourage anyone to try this place.

I ordered the smothered pork chops off the Daily Menu and it took 20 minutes to come out. The restaurant was empty so they were not busy at all. The portions are very small for the price you have to pay, $12. The food was barely warm when it finally came out and was lacking seasoning on the pork chop and gravy. The smothered cabbage wss good but also barely warm. The service is mediocre but the inside is decorated well. Will not be back and can't recommend anyone going here.

Loved the Fish Sandwich & Fries! Fish tasted like my Uncle Ted's fish fry back in the day! Healthy options, & a calm, relaxed atmosphere.

A very loving and friendly atmosphere. Hosted my baby shower here on Nov 4, 2023. Everything didn’t go as I planed with my menu but the chef on duty made everything happen for me and my crew along with Tre and a waitress and some other workers didn’t get their name. The food was delicious and I was over satisfied with the staff and their attentiveness. They made everything happen for me at the blink of an eye and I’m very appreciative of it . They even helped clean up. Everyone has their own opinion when they go to try places but mine is try them for urself they make u feel like family . Thank u again the Callahan crew ❤️

The food was great and didn’t take too long. I’d definitely come back to try more of the options. (specifically the popcorn shrimp and gumbo lol 👀) The place was clean and the people there are very nice and polite. We even had a good small chat with one of the cooks. 5/5.

What a gem. It was my first time going and it did not disappoint. The server was really nice and the floor manager was awesome, knowledgeable, and super friendly. The chef came out to great us which was really impressive, but the star of the show was The Food!! Hands down the Best food I've ever had at a restaurant. Literally Everything was delicious. We are definitely going back. Their food is seasoned well so there isn't a need to add anything to it. Just perfection.

The food was delicious. Catfish Acadiana, was a touch too much rice but I'll know for the future. Sweet potato casserole was my side and a piece of plain cheesecake with turtle topping for dessert! Was a super slow night for some odd reason but others trickled in before I left. I was well after 7 pm when I arrived. Lunch menu specials look great and waitress said they were slammed full for lunch today.

Great customer service. The food is always consistent. We love the catfish Acadiana on Fridays. And the smothered pork chops and hamburger steak on Wednesday. Fried catfish is always fresh, crispy and cooked just right! Definitely a must if you are looking for home cooked food in a chill atmosphere!

Very disappointed and i love to support black businesses. I hope they get it corrected. I waited for this place since Mother's Day. I was in the state visiting my mother for her birthday on today, August 11, so we decided to give it a try. Highly dissatisfied with the food. The spinach dip was too loose and runny. My mother had the fried ribs and mustard green. She said the mustard greens had a good taste. I had what I thought and what the menu stated blackened fried catfish. They could've left the word blackened off! Nothing about this fish had the Blackened season taste. The sweet potatoes had a strong taste. The cabbage could've been better if it had seasoning and favor. I can't recommend.

My friend invited me to Callahan's Restaurant and it was my first time eating there and I was impressed not only with the food, but with the dining, the wait staff and owner. I ordered the shrimp pasta with mustard greens, served with cornbread and had bread pudding for dessert. Everything was right on point, so delicious, and seasoned perfectly. The bread pudding with pecans just melted in my mouth. The atmosphere is so pleasant and inviting with great music for every cultural background. I will definitely be eating there again.

Overall average. No one else was there when we got there, but service was a little slow. Our waiter seemed inexperienced. The cabbage was different, interesting, quite good, as were the turnip greens. The cornbread was Jiffy mix, though, and too sweet; luckily it was a small serving. Meats were average. We didn’t order any seafood. Atmosphere is promising and people were friendly. Servings were on heavy white cafeteria dishes with cheap cafeteria style silverware. I kept thinking that if you liked Piccadilly’s you would like this. Probably will not return, given all the good choices in town. I would consider coming for a vegetable plate, but how hard is it really to make your own cornbread?

Great Food, atmosphere, friendly staff & service. My family enjoyed this place. Thanks to the Great Team for helping us with the celebration of our uncle Birthday. 😎

Everytime i go, its a treat. The first time i went, it was close to closing time so were expecting that cold shoulder that most restaurants give but instead we were greeted with such patience and kindness. The manager even came and talk with us at our table. No one rushed us, in fact we were told to take our time. The food is delicious but its the customer service that really stands out. I recommend the creole pasta and my husband recommends the fried pork chops.

Hannah was an awesome and personable server! Will definitely request her anytime I return. My mom and I shared the pasta and the combo fish plate with the sweet potatoes and cornbread dressing and WOW!! AMAZING. Closest thing I've had to my granny's cooking since she passed on. Which is a huge compliment, as she's the best cook I've ever known. I grew up in Acadiana but I'm an Oregon resident now and this will definitely be a staple when I'm in town. I'd highly suggest to anyone looking for some good down home cooking, especially if you're in the mood for seafood. The condensed menu was spot on and the food was seasoned to perfection. 10/10

This was our first time dining here. The atmosphere and staff were amazing! Our waitress was so sweet and had a smile at every table she addressed. Loved the fact that the owners walked around to every table and spoke with each guest. Food was delicious! We ordered the crawfish nachos as our appetizer, fried ribs with mash potatoes and smothered cabbage, and the combo fried shrimp and fish with fries. The owner took the ribs meal off our ticket because he felt the wait was longer than it should have been but we told him he didn't need to because it was well worth the wait. We will definitely return and tell all our friends and family about this place.

Small wedding party. Good food but a bit pricey for the portion. (Seafood combo, 1 fish five jumbo shrimp and a side $25). Service was slow. But the waitress stated that they were short staffed. I'll give them another try.

The description And you said fried tortillas never did it say anything about fried crawfish fried jalapeños and I had a shrimp and I thought those were going to be grilled not fried. Also my queso was not even cheesy it was like a water/milk then I ask for strawberry lemonade and I got strawberry water with sugar with a slice of lemon
