I have been a lifelong resident of Lafayette and have Mary Lou donuts through all the owners. I hate to say that these are the worst. They are sloppy looking, I could never take these to an event. The taste is day old oil and the donuts I bought today tasted like yesterday's donuts. Lastly, the price has increased and I wasted $8 on a 7 donuts I will not eat. I don't mind paying a little more for a donut that is delicious.

We had the mix and glazed from the drive through. It was a waiting line around 5 min. It was definitely worth it. The price was very reasonable, we paid a bit more than ten dollars for 18 peices! Fresh and delicious. The kids approve that it has amazing taste, probably the best around here!

5/9 I have to give the young lady on duty around 11:45 a shout out for being patient and friendly. My wife usually gets donuts. I'm not familiar with the set up or the menu. I travel so I get my fix out of state. I had a nice experience! You can't go at noon and expect them to have all you want. I like a business that once it's out you miss out. It means they're food is freshly made. The young girl was totally cool explaining what they had left. She did not rush me, and gave me several options. I ordered a custard, and it was filled to enjoy every bite! My kids knew what they wanted and they were in stock! Great donuts! If you're ever in Lafayette, make this a memorable trip and try our donut shop!

This has been my favorite donut place my entire life. However I got some the other day and I think they recently changed how they make their cake donuts. They are very different and not nearly as moist and soft. Now they taste similar to Dunkin :/. Apple fritter was delicious as always and the yeast donuts were ok. Hopefully they go back to their old recipes.

Still ok, but quality has been going down and prices up. The last three or four times we got donuts they were not fresh at all, tasted like they were made yesterday, even though we got them in the morning! Hope the owners realize they are jeopardizing their brand with this poor quality. We used to go nearly weekly but now its once every few months, and don't know if we'll ever go back at this point.

As a person who needs to calculate what the total is going to be before the check out as a surprise... This was not the donut shop for me. No pricing anywhere to tell me even a starting point. No single price or menu board to tell me glaze to iced specialty or filled. They served drinks but no sizes or prices marked. I do not like surprises at the register. So it was not pleasant for me to have to ask the price on every thing I was interested in. I was able to get a donut and a drink in the end but pricing of sorts would be great for those who do not have a bottomless bank account. The donut was great. Soft fresh flavorful The drink... It needs adjusted. Maybe the brand of ingredients they use. Either way the items I purchased did their job! It was clean and fast service.

Each apple fritter is $2.70. You can see how huge it is. It taste good but for those who have tried Walmart's apple fritters, you will know you have the bite of apple and the 3D shape of Walmart fritters make it more tasty and appealing. These are huge and flat. Taste wise is good but I wish there's more apply pieces which I taste apple but didn't get any bites of it.

From Texas and I can honestly say these were the worst tasting donuts I have ever tasted!!!!!..i worked at a donut shop for 7 years and these were the sloppiest looking donuts.Icing was extremely heavy ! I only took one bite and that's all it took ..tasted heavy and like oil..Way too much chocolate on donut! On plus side assortment of donuts looked very pretty from the counter plus building inside and outside is very nice, and girls were friendly, price was decent 2 glaze 2 choc and a water under $6.00..Come to Texas if you want to taste a good donut!!.I'm sorry just not impressed .

Hands down, the BEST donuts. Just got my first dozen from the new location and they are just as wonderful as the original spot. Service is great and the product just can't be beat.

So glad to have the one on the Eastside open now. We’ve never waited long in line and the people behind the counter are always kind and patient. Love Mary Lou’s!

Way too sweet in my opinion. The donuts are basically frosted. I seem to find that at most donut stores in the area though. Must be local preferences. But nice owners and the prices are great.

What a wonderful donut shop! Delicious smells and cheery staff greeted us when we walked in! The donuts were fresh and went great with the coffee we ordered. Thanks for the delectable experience! 🍩

I come here at least once a month to get donuts. Before Mary Lou's, my donut experiences were limited to gas stations & supermarkets, and I was not so much a fan of them. Mary Lou's showed me what a real donut is supposed to taste like, and completely turned me around. 10/10, I will continue coming here for donuts as long as we're in Lafayette.

I was at the new location this morning and the half dozen glazed donuts were about as good as your average gas station but much pricier. They reminded me of the day old ones they ship to Schultz to sell. I won’t be back to this location. I hope 4th Street is still better than average if I decide to drive there next time.

I always love how fresh and affordable Mary Lou’s donuts are. I still have not been to the new location, but I still love the older building and the staff is always courteous. Thanks for being so kind!

Was visiting friends in Lafayette and they said I had to have an apple fritter. It was amazing! So crunchy on the outside and the glaze was just right. Wish they had a location in central Michigan! :)

I agree with some of these other recent reviews. I purchased 2 dozen glazed donuts this morning. They tasted like they were at lease a day old. I can’t remember the previous prices, but I think they have raised their prices which is understandable, however the quality isn’t the same. Looking for a new donut place!
