Lagos is the port where the first enslaved Africans disembarked from Portuguese ships in 1444, marking the very beginning of the transatlantic slave trade. Yet the only acknowledgement of this history within the popular, touristic centre of the city is a small museum called the “Slave Market” which opened in 2016, in collaboration with UNESCO.

Worth a visit if you are there. Good views of the coast. Overall not too much to do there

From the moment the springs are turned on at about midday until they are turned off at midnight, this place is truly magical and provides an almost earie connection to the frantic, colourful history of Lagos.

Very nice statue next to a misting reflecting pool type of structure in this open public space. During the Christmas season, there's a few children's events and structures erected nearby, this season there was a mock ice skating rink, done with plastic, and a bounce house climbing inflatable slide in this area extending to the Jardim next to the church.
