I travelled 30 minutes for this museum and I cant say I wasnt disappointed, firstly there is no parking, even though at the entrance I saw 2 cars parked, if they could at least let in a few cars that would be convenient, especially because most people are travelling with children. I had to drive round the town twice just to find parking. At the entrance the woman sitting there didn't when bother to get up and assist with the door seeing I had a child and a stroller, she just watched me struggle. There were some stuff at the reception my daughter touched and she was told not to. As a "touch everything" museum I'd assume everything is touchable, they should really remove the stuff that cannot be touched to higher shelves. I'm guessing they were items for sale. Entrance price is cheap which is good, however everything from there just seems a little dull, nothing seems very exciting for kids apart from the submarine that was very colourful and had sounds and buttons and twisty handles. Some of the activities need maintenance too, for example the rowing machine - only 1 row worked. The garden was fun for my daughter but it all needs maintenance, there's a lot of overgrown weeds and just seems run down. Views from the garden are quite nice of the harbour too. The boat and water activity kept my daughter entertained and she loved trying to figure out how to unlock the treasure chest. The place is quite small too, so it definitely isn't worth travelling to put yourself through so much for not much. Just take your kids to a park and you'll have the same fun! If you have older children who are genuinely interested in science then this place is interesting but it's not really well suited for children below 3 apart from the few things I mentioned above.

Looking for activities to do on a rainy day whilst staying near Lagos. This is such a great place. Free under 6. It cost us €15,50 for 2 adults, 1 child and 1 senior (plus 1 free child). It's got a wide range of activities and different topics. Lots of things to do. The outdoor spaces are really wonderful too so it's perfect on a day with intermittent rain. We spent 2 hours there but could happily have spent more. A great find for us! Staff are lovely too!

Incredible museum - we went with our 12 and 14 year olds and we all had a wonderful time. The museum is small but has lots of interesting exhibits for a wide range of ages of kids (and adults!), both indoors and outside. The outside activities are very well shaded so even on this hot day we were comfortable.

Good place for having your little ones burn off some energy and give mommy and daddy a bit of a breather. Unlike most museums in Europe, they have a "please touch" policy, meaning you don't have to have eyes at the back of your head while your kids wreck the place. We got there on a sunny afternoon and found it very relaxing, especially since they have an outdoor play area and slide!

A nice little interactive spot for kids and families to explore together. There was a young man who was super attentive and made our visit such a cool experience.. He helped us with every exhibit and explained how all the different things worked - lady at reception was also super nice and helpful 👏🏽🤩🇵🇹❤️

This museum has fantastic interactive exhibits. Our 6 and 8 year old loved it and the adults enjoyed the lovely 'boat garden' with it's shade and view of the harbour. (OK, and Daddy also enjoyed the interactive exhibits :-)

Great museum, took our 9 year old and 4 year old twins and they really enjoyed it. Lots of hands on things to do, great play areas and very cheap for the five of us. Will be visiting again

We were there today and loved it! The youngest in our group was 6 and the eldest was 60ish and we all had a fantastic time. Sam at reception was very polite and informative, as were the other very helpful staff around the museum. Lots to interact with and lots to learn as well. Very cheap compared to other local attractions and it was nice having a vending machine and picnic area outside. Would recommend!

Excellent half day event for kids! Our kids (6 and 4) really loved the place - both the science experiments as well as the playgrounds. The option to re-enter is great - so one can return after lunch and let the kids play some more.

We took our 4 year old today and he absolutely loved the place. There were so many things for him to interact with and try out (far more for his age than at the Science Museum in London that we recently visited) and he was very sad to leave at the end. It’s nice that the activities are split between indoors and outdoors and everything is set out brilliantly with instructions in both Portuguese and English. Favourite activities were the semaphore game, the pirate ship and the submarine. The staff were also all incredibly helpful and friendly. Definitely recommended as somewhere to visit with young children.
