A facade more than anything else. It's a medieval wall that houses businesses. So not a typical tourist castle. More a functioning business castle.

Pretty small as far as castles go but looks like it got the job done back in the day.

I really enjoyed my stay here in Lagos. Everything about this town was quaint and charming. Exploring the alleys and finding unique centuries old doors reminded me of the reason I travel. The people were super nice and I could easily get around this town.

It's not really a castle, there is nothing to see except for the walls.

This is just a wall of the old caste. The town inside is very atmospheric. A lot of going up the hill. I enjoyed the views a lot.

There's not a ton to do here, but it's a really lovely walk. If you have time to spare, it's a nice time to walk around and marvel at the history and comparative quietness of this place. If you are short on time, however, in the Algarve, I don't really recommend planning on spending very much time here.

An interesting medieval castle with an arch way. I walked through it many times while on holiday. The surrounding castle walls are worth looking at. Mostly viewed from the outside of the town and what's left of them is mostly to the North and West of the town.

Worthwhile hunting around here and seeing the area. Some hidden shrines and church right next door which was lovely :)

Not a castle it's just the wall behind it it's nothing other then the wall you see and when you walk through there is nothing on the other side just the army building a road and houses. Apparently originally was a castle but something happened and it was never rebuilt. We were sold a dream!
