We loved the place. Had Quesadillas (with crunch) and fish tacos. Both were just amazing.. authentic Mexican taste, we felt right back in Mexico. Staff was friendly and did a good job. Prices are also absolutely normal. I would like to try the drinks too, I'm sure they really good too... Try something with Mezcal...

Best Taco’s I’ve ever eaten!! wow! I wish I had more now. Service was ok by some members and exceptional from others which is why I’ve rated it 5/5. They also didn’t have a lot of things on the menu as they had opened 3 weeks ago which was understandable and considering some of the things we wanted were in stock. Over all the beef taco was incredible, the cheese was melted and beef cooked to perfection. We also got the corn chips to share which was ok nothing special but still nice!

CASH ONLY Since this place has a 4.7 rating, we decided to check it out. Surprising that such a large restaurant (2 dining rooms and outside seating) with a full staff (at least 8 front & kitchen when we were there) only takes cash, but prices don't reflect that. Friendly, efficient service and charming setting for this Mexican restaurant. I enjoyed my Spicy Avocado Margarita, the first time I've had avocado in a cocktail. The prices were more American style. I chose the Fish Tacos, which said it had salad with the fried hake and mango on the English menu, which I interpreted as multiple veggies (maybe cabbage, tomatoes, etc.), but alas, was only shredded iceberg lettuce. He ordered the carne burrito, which came with tortilla chips and had it with a beer. The food was a solid 4 stars. Nothing spectacular, but nothing to complain about. I wouldn't necessarily return for a meal, since for that price point, I would hope for much better food. But it would be a fun place to meet friends for drinks. Bring cash. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4 stars

Tasty tomatillo sauce, salsa & guacamole with chips. Burrito with pulled pork so delicious. Chimichanga - 3 of them with beans & rice super yummy. The service is very friendly & prompt. Love the tunes they play. Tasty Margaritas

TexMex in Lagos—okay. We really enjoyed our lunch. The fish tacos were amazing. We really enjoyed the different salsas. Nothing was overly spicy, so it can be enjoyed by all. The fajitas came with great sides of salsas, guac, cheese and beans and the portions are generous. If I could go back again, I would not order the carnitas as they were not very flavorful and there were big chunks of unrendered fat that should have been removed, but everything else was very good.

Great lively pub with tons of atmosphere and charm. Excellent Mexican dishes, and innovative. The Fish Tacos were out of this world!

I like Mexican cuisine very much. And if you like it too, it's worth visiting this restaurant. I ordered nachos with meat, which were tasty as a snack. And then I had chicken tacos (chicken Tinga) and pork tacos (carnitas) Both very tasty but in my opinion better with chicken maybe because I love avocado and cilantro. Waitresses was friendly. I would like to come back to try more Mexican dishes.

Very good Tex-mex style food. There are lots of vegetarian options! The cocktails were very good. Prices are on the higher side but not unreasonable for Lagos. Family friendly atmosphere and accommodations but also has a young vibrant scene. Ample outdoor seating options with shared tables.

Our family was there at Taco Tuesdays. We loved the food and the ambience. The dishes are well served and tasty. What we did not like was how long it took us to get the waiter attention after been seated.

😭😭😭 Genuinely one of the best meals I've ever had... The food was out of this world. The simple chips and dips were each the best of their type I've ever tried. The fish tacos I had were what I've always wanted when order fish tacos. Fresh, colourful, bright, crunchy! Partners veggie enchilada was also 'perfect'. Lastly the cocktails are no joke here. They are a head and shoulders above what I have had recently either abroad or at home. The spicy margaritas are just .... 🔥🤤 Very strong and a lot of thought and pride has gone into that cocktail menu. Mostly Mexican or themed as such. Lastly the ambience is second to none... The music, decor and staff are flawless. The former make make you feel as if you're in a smoky jazz joint in a cool European city (you are!), and the staff were very nice too. Not to mention the kind touch made by a staff member who was possibly the owner at the end of our meal, it was really appreciated! Thanks guys! You will see me again! 😏🇲🇽🇵🇹🌯🤘🔥

Bustling spot for anyone and everyone. Cheap wine but known for the cocktails (not as cheap). Delivering the vibes via the music and atmosphere. Food is a nice change of pace from the other restaurants in the area. Would recommend for a fun night out!

The staff are SO nice, extremely attentive and the food is to die for. The birria tacos are the best tacos I have ever had in my life. My significant other ordered the carne asada burrito and the fish tacos. All the food came out very quickly and the drinks are also absolutely wonderful! I HIGHLY recommend coming here if you’re in the area. Certainly makes sense why it is so highly rated.

This may have been affected by the fact that when we visited it seemed like they were out of half of the menu. Including coffee... so... It was pretty common Tex-Mex food, not Mexican unless youve never been to Mexico. You know burritos, nachos, tacos, chimichangas. Exactly what you would expect from any regular tex-mex/""Mexican"" place anywhere in the world outside Mexico. I can't comment on the food I would have tried but couldn't because they didn't have it that day. The "taco salad" was a nacho plate with added iceberg lettuce. It was tasty enough, and lots of fresh ingredients, but it was not spectacular. I think most people coming to a place like this would be just fine with it. Chicken wings were "XXX" spicy. Again, maybe Europeans who aren't accustomed to heat would think that (ahem British tourists) they're very spicy. But they aren't truly XXX if you're more familiar with spice. They're hot, yes. But not numbingly so. I was loving the fact that FINALLY there is a place here that uses the wonderful cactus as food! Nopales were one of my fav taco ingredients in Mexico and was super excited to see them here. Kudos to that. (It was overwhelmed by all the other ingredients sadly.) Also, they have decent tortilla chips and guacamole. No complaints, just not the best I've had. Prices seem pretty steep, but that's Lagos. Service was good. Place was fairly empty (and it's a very large space) for lunchtime which was surprising. I'd like to return to try the cocktails sometime.

We read the very high review and decided to try it out. Surprisingly we dinner there twice in 4 days. The red wine sangria was refreshing. The first time it had berries and the second time just apples and oranges. We had the cactus tacos, enchiladas, fish taco, fish, and burritos. The nachos and dips were great too. For the price, I loved the food. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you are a tourist, this place only accepts cash. So bring money.

Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere we made no reservation and arrived at 8pm got a table straight away by half 8 there was a queue to get in.... and there's a reason. I found the food tasting, beer lovely and cold and the staff member who looked after our table was lovely. They are a busy spot but worth it for good flavour. I find most of the time people are to harsh on these reviews, we where not offered more drinks or dessert but we just raised our hand and they came to us and sorted us out then. For a good feed go here.

We had the chips and dip then the main dish of fish tacos. I thought the ones in Vancouver were good. These are way better! You will be impressed by the food and the friendly service.

Great food! Friendly and welcoming staff. Good selection of food and drinks available on the menu. Had a very chilled evening with new friends. I don’t usually eat fish but the Fish Tacos has been recommended and they did not disappoint! The enchilada options looked amazing too! I’m looking forward to visiting again. Highly recommend a visit! (Pictured: Fish Tacos)

Decent Mexican just outside of the busy action of the 'old town.' The flavours had depth, which was a nice surprise. The chilli serving was a good lunch size. A large cocktail list really kicks in at Happy hour. Please note, when we were there it was Cash Only (March 2023)

We found The Green House because we wanted to eat vegetarian. Upon arriving we were greeted friendly by the staff. The outside looks cute and the inside looks fine. They have a lot of cocktails and beers. We ordered the vegetarian burrito, which was delicious. And the taco salad, which was delicious, but not really a salad, since it was more like a mountain of nachos. Nonetheless it was still delicious. My friend was extremely satisfied with the vegetarian burrito and even rated it a 10 because it had just the ingredients he liked (rice and sweet potato). Portions were big. Almost everything was perfect, except for the loud music which didn’t really match the vibe. Would definitely visit again!

Oh my gosh what an amazing restaurant! It's been over a year since my family has had Mexican food and this place totally got the spot! I'm only a little ashamed that we went 3 nights in a row while visiting Laps! Who knows the next time we might have a chance for great food, a wonderful atmosphere and amazing staff! My only disappointment was that they were out of my size in their T-shirts! 😞 Can't recommend the restaurant enough!

This place is no longer called the green room. I ordered taco with pork and it arrived cold and taste of it was not the best. After this meal I felt really heavy on stomach and I don’t recommend this place

Great food and good vibes! I had the enchiladas and my sister had the tacos, both equally delicious. Only negative was that it took a while to get the bill and the white sangria was a bit disappointing.

Great place with yummy Mexican food. Would recommend for sure if you're visiting lagos. At first the service was a little weak as we were stood at the door waiting for a fair while but soon made up with the food. The staff were friendly and accommodating, wanting to ensure your experience was top condition.

Taste was good, buy very pricey for small portions. The burrito in the picture is about 5" long and cost $12. I could eat 2 and not be overly full.

My boyfriend and I stayed in Lagos for 5 days and we came here 3 times….it’s that good. Both of us are from California and we are major foodies (but we especially love Mexican food) and this place is as authentic as it gets especially for being in Europe I was blown away. It’s TexMex with a little bit of Baja influence— I could definitely see this spot in SoCal especially with all the skaters and surfers frequenting it. Loved it!!!!

Great, great value for money. The Burrito besides tasteful it's huge! And with Tortillas too. The spicy chicken wings were on the spot, nice sauce and spicy! And then the cocktails, we tried a few. Some good, but others such as Mezcalino and Paloma very good. The staff was very friendly, even let us order a last cocktail at closing time.

… very tasty tex-mex-food also very nice deserts -> maybe a little loud so if your looking for a place to chat in a group this might not be perfect place ;-) the taco salad was the dish of the night - huge plate!

⁉️ Overall: cozy restaurant, not too much expensive where to eat Mexican food with an international tendency. Burrito ⭐⭐⭐⭐ what to say? Tasty and very particular there are many from which chose, they have one that is also veggy, so there's one for any taste. Local ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ i loved the place! It's like a little Wonderland in the center of Lagos, cozy, spacious and we'll furnished. Staff ⭐⭐⭐⭐ very friendly and funny. Being all young (<30) it's like a big family.

Girl From Leeds was a fantastic host! So friendly. She showed me extremely hot, hot sauce which I loved! But killed me! Staff like her are very hard to find! Tue food was amazing! I will 100% be returning to Lagos + The Green Room

We've grown up in "The South" of the United States, and having lived abroad for a few years, this was the first taste of home we've had since moving. The food was absolutely delicious and authentically TexMex/Mexican. The staff was eager to help with anything we might have needed, and was pleasant to speak with. They had a nice selection of beer, too. This place was so good we came back two nights later. Experience-wise I would give it 5 stars, but this isn't a stuffy 5-Star restaurant, so I'm giving it 4.
