No longer able to order on the app and pick up through the drive thru. You now have to go inside to pick up the order. Sucks because I had to bang on the door for 10 minutes just for someone to bring me my food. All of the workers saw me but failed to come open the door! Me and about 3 other customers stood outside for 10 minutes waiting for our food. The employees wouldn't even answer the phone!!

My fiance came to visit and was starting to feel sick and hadn't eaten anything all morning. He said he wanted something light. Like soup or something to see if that would help settle his stomach. So what better place to get a delicious soup but Panera Bread located on Nelson Road lake Charles La near Lauberge Hotel and Casino and Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino. I ordered a Chicken Noodle Soup bowl for him and for me myself I ordered the Turkey Panini and a cup of Vegetable Soup and a Strawberry Banana Smoothie. Everything was absolutely delicious. I had visited Panera Bread a few times before purchasing pastries, and cookies for the holidays. I've always had a Great experience, and the staff is always very nice and accommodating. My only complaint sometimes is the drive thru service. It's always really slow at theo window, but in all fairness the wait is definitely worth it.

Me and my homeboy nick placed an online order in lake Charles, LA. They order said it would be ready in 30 minutes. After waiting for an hour, they refused to serve us order because we did not have a screenshot of our confirmation.#FireEmily

Waiting for them to bring back options on the app to order for curbside or get to go orders in drive through. I can't walk well with medical issues and I usually order ahead in between places and now suddenly no curbside or drive through app orders.

I really have nothing bad to say about Panera food. It’s slightly over priced, but healthy and delicious. However, my service this morning was beyond upsetting and frustrating. I arrive minutes before breakfast stops service, that was my fault I did not know Panera had breakfast only hours, so I own that. What is upsetting is as I go to order a breakfast sandwich at, or minutes before 10:30, and an employee - one not taking my order- tells the front register worker there are no more eggs. So then the person taking my orders apologizes and asks me what else I would like to order. I ask if there is anyway possible to get the sandwich since it is exactly 10:30 because I m pregnant and would really love to order a breakfast sandwich. Being a hungry pregnant woman is not Panera's fault, that’s on me. BUT I change my order to just a bagel which roughly $5 cheaper than a breakfast sandwich and start walking to my seat when the employee that told both myself and the front register begins to ORDER HERSELF A BREAKFAST SANDWICH WITH DOUBLE BACON RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!! I couldn’t help it, I asked the employee if she was just ordering herself a breakfast sandwich to which she replied, “well, yes. I sat an egg aside for myself”. Not asking Panera to adjust their hours for breakfast and not asking them to make exceptions for pregnant women, just asking that your employees not turn down a service that will bring more money to your Lake Charles location and then proceed to order said service that was denied to a customer right in front of their face. Beyond frustrating.

I ordered a cup of broccoli, cheddar soup, and a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. They were out of the bread that comes with it and would only offer chips. I asked if there was another roll that could be in lieu of the bread, they said brioche rolls, but that would be $1.89 a piece, I didn’t want chips, but I guess that’s what I get regardless. It’s not the employees fault, but Panera needs to be more flexible when it comes to running out of an item.

The perfect lunch spot. Grab a friend or your man and try the Napa Almond Chicken Salad sandwich! It’s my fav! (Request it on a croissant)

My bread was hard I couldn’t hardly bite into it , I left with my teeth hurting. And the chips were not flavorful.

The two ladies at the drive thru today were super friendly and welcoming. Great customer service!

The breads, the smells, the freshness, the crowd… atmosphere and exert, odd combinations. The variety of breads is awesome 😎

Food was delicious. I thought the place was a regular restaurant but was a fast food type place. Service was great. The menu was a bit confusing. 😋

I have never seen such a dedicated and caring staff in fast food restaurants. We came here for a quick brunch before hitting the road. For the first time, my fast food sandwiches looked like on the posters. They also tasted better than from other Panera bread locations that we tried!

The employees here are Always have the Best Customer Service!!!! The food is Fabulous and on time!! This place that will not make you sick with after affects!!!! The atmosphere is always lively, friendly and welcoming and makes you feel at home!!!

The pizza here is better than any other pizza chain. The sandwiches are a gourmet selection and no other sandwich chain compares to the details on the Panera menu. The lemonade and other drinks and treats are also menu worthy. The staff offers courtesy when given the status on an order. Be careful you might get food poison at this location; they are not checking expiration dates. The caprese sandwich is only cheese and vegetables...

Another excellent meal from Panera Bread. This time it was breakfast. It’s been a while since I had a meal here between Covid, hurricanes, and worker shortages, you never knew when they would actually be open. I’m glad they are back and have a regular schedule. The lady at the window this morning was very nice. I had the bacon, scrambled egg, and cheese on a brioche bun and an orange scone for later. The sandwich was very tasty, seasoned well, and warm. They must have changed the orange scone recipe again because it tastes like it did when they first opened here in Lake charles. It was soft and fluffy and very flavorful. Forget later on for that scone, I had a bite on the way home. My favorite menu item is the French Onion Soup but I don’t think that I’ve had anything that I didn’t like. Happy eating! Enjoy!

I placed my ordered prior to opening. I was surprised my order was prepared earlier than promised. I’ve ordered plenty of pastries from Panera before but this was my first breakfast sandwich. All I can is wow!! I had a few customization, all were honored to perfection. Thank you for making my breakfast excellent.

The sandwich was great, the dining room wasn't too clean. The manager walked through and didn't pick trash off the floor that I saw him look at. Many of the tables had crumbs on them the entire time we were there and it wasn't too busy. A worker came through and picked up drinks and plates but didn't wipe tables off.

Great, healthy choices. Love the turkey chili. Miss dining in. Very nice staff. Helpful to the community. SO happy to dine- in again! LOVE the rewards! Try turkey chili and Greek salad. Great drink station! Yummy chocolate chip cookies!

I would go here much more often if they opened before 8 AM. Five stars otherwise.

Decent dark roast not weak like many other Panera. But only open at 8am? Nice staff

this place is missing half the menu and I refuse to eat in a place that does not have indoor seating. Wake the pandemic that never really was a pandemic is over.

This Panera Bread was staff by very nice and efficient employees. The restaurant was clean. It is easy to get in and out of. Standard Panera Bread menu.
