I
admitted
myself
to
the
emergency
room
about
a
month
ago
for
severe
upper
abdomen
pain.
The
doctor
was
not
very
helpful,
the
nurses
could
not
get
an
IV
in
my
arm
in
3
tries,
and
the
other
staff
was
very
slow.
This
whole
experience
was
for
me
to
get
a
CT
scan,
and
then
be
told
that
nothing
was
wrong
with
me
(I
later
figured
out
that
it
was
a
gall
bladder
issue),
and
then
to
have
5
different
bills
come
in
for
the
work
done.
INCLUDING
multiple
bills
for
the
same
services.
I
received
2
bills
for
the
CT
scan:
one
from
the
hospital
and
one
from
an
outsource
imaging
company.
I
asked
multiple
times
for
pricing
on
the
treatments
since
I
was
going
to
self-pay
and
was
ignored
and
lied
to
my
face.
Unfortunately
the
bottom
line:
they
are
not
interested
in
helping
here,
they
are
interested
in
emptying
pockets
and
moving
on.
I
am
currently
in
a
battle
with
the
billing
companies
as
they
are
trying
to
charge
me
over
$6,000
for
20
minutes
with
the
doctor
and
20
minutes
for
a
CT
scan.
And
with
NO
diagnosis.
I
highly
suggest
you
look
into
the
"good
faith
estimates"
that
the
federal
government
are
trying
to
implement.
This
is
a
good
start
to
a
policy
that
will
hopefully
keep
these
people
accountable.
Good
luck
if
you
come
here.
You
will
need
it.
