Lake George Pines Motel

Hotel

👍👍 This is a small, family owned motel that went above and beyond to help us out when our vehicle broke down and had to be repaired in a neighboring town. Melinda and Jeremy offered to drive us anywhere we needed to go and even brought us lunch and cake one afternoon. Clean rooms and easy check-in.... People often mention stay,

This is a small, family owned motel that went above and beyond to help us out when our vehicle broke down and had to be repaired in a neighboring town. Melinda and Jeremy offered to drive us anywhere we needed to go and even brought us lunch and cake one afternoon. Clean rooms and easy check-in. They had no problem with us extending our stay when the vehicle repairs took longer than expected. Cute little town with very friendly people. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a wonderful place to stay for any occasion. I was in the area for a wedding and I couldn't of been more happy with the service and room! If your looking to do some fishing there are multiple lakes in the area with good spots to cast your line. If your just looking for peace and quiet. Look no further. I will be back for sure. Thanks for the great stay!

Great place to get some shut-eye. Hospitality was great, stayed up for our late check in to welcome us to our room. Nice big flat screen TV to watch deadliest catch before bed. Nice hot shower too! Bed was so comfy. 10/10 would stay again.

Small Mom n Pop roadside motel near the Headwaters, Northern Minnesota… Cozy, clean rooms/cabins. Pet friendly. For those who feel “entitled”… Keep driving. For those who like character, a bit of grit, and kindness… Stop in and Meet Mel, Jeremy n Bode! Good people! Great local energy! Good luck getting a room. Chris n Ziggy Colorado

Awesome motel, it was beautiful. The best we have stayed in, and we have stayed in a lot. We road trip across the country once a year and always stay in small town motels. I love the history of it all. The Pines is one of the best we have come across. It should be booked full every night.

Doesn't look like much from the road, but once you pull in the driveway it turns into much more. The owner stayed up late to welcome me in and get me situated. The room was recently renovated by the owners and was super clean and comfortable. Anything that we had in any big chain hotel rooms, they had in mine at The Pines for1/3 to1/4 the cost (except foul odors or mold. We had that at our last stop. You can read my 1 star review of the "Dis-Comfort" Inn Suites in Amite, Louisiana). As for The Pines, super comfortable bed and soft towels and a clean hot shower. Also pet friendly with no surcharge. The *only* drawback is it being near an intersection right on the road. In the morning the truck traffic is a little loud, but I slept very well all night and didn't really notice until I had already wakened on my own. But no semis idling outside my window all night like at big chains. Just a joy to have found The Pines and its wonderful owners. I'll definitely stay again when I come through again.

When I went to check in to the office, the sign says, "no smoking" but it wreaked of smoke in there and from the owner who came out. Very badly. The "cabin" was like a little trailer that was in need of a lot of outside repairs and permeated of mold and mildew. The flooring wasn't even attached to the floor. The "two bedrooms" were tiny little rooms. The sheets had NOT been changed! You can tell when they are not fresh sheets on beds and all three beds had DOG HAIR in them. One of the beds had a gross stain on the fitted sheet. The owner came over and insisted they were all fresh sheets. It was gross and the floors hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I did not stay. Nasty. Should be condemned.

The room was clean and comfortable. The owners are very attentive to details such as glass glasses and ceramic cups, and ice packs in freezer. It is rustic and gives you the authentic feeling of being in the north woods and getting away with the beauty of lakes, river and woods near you.. Great activities like fishing, nature walks and scenic vistas are right at your fingertips. The rooms are affordable and are being updated methodically with the continued "up north" feel with careful planning. I would stay here again at this non trendy motel and cabins.
