A friend of mine recommended this spot, so I came here several times over this past Memorial Day weekend for breakfast. As soon as I walked in, I immediately fell in love with the old-fashioned 40s vibe that it has going on. I got there pretty early in the morning after reading several reviews that this place can get busy pretty fast. I was greeted very warmly by the hostess, and waitstaff is very friendly and attentive. The food tasted great and came out super fast. They also make a really good cup of coffee as well. Based on other reviews along with my own, I could see why this place is so popular with tourists. I will definitely come in again the next time I vacation in the area again.

hello everyone! this was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had, I ordered a Belgian waffle with scrambled eggs and bacon, chocolate milk for my drink. I was amazed by the taste and it was just unique, I loved it. The staff were very sweet especially the waitress, I loved the 40’s theme. I highly recommend, this was the best breakfast place in lake George by far. The price was reasonable for the portion sizes!

This is the most popular breakfast place in LG area. Place gets really busy really early. They do have a quick turnover time, usually there’s a 30-40 minutes wait time. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The food comes out within a decent time. Good quantity and tasty as well. I liked the breakfast burger a lot, really huge and fulfilling. The egg Benedict and toasts were decent dishes as well. Food taste - 4/5 Food prep time - 4/5 Service - 3/5 Price - $$$

The best breakfast place in lake gorge we love it so much that we buy breakfast over having free breakfast with the hotel stay... the whole place has 40s theme displays with old fridge, stove, phones and how much things were back then very cool place so much to look at! The staff are so friendly and they remember us from year to year.

Lively 1940s style breakfast spot. Very welcome, friendly crew. Spotless. Attentive service. Huge, endless menu. Food is very bland. Really nice, authentic 1940s decor, with accompanying music. Great for kids. Reasonably priced, with a discount for cash. Outdoor seating available. We really enjoyed it. Except the food is very bland.

Decent food. Not too many vegan/vegetarian options and they didn’t serve fruit either. The gluten free waffles and home fries were a pleasant surprise and they had good maple syrup.

As much as I was planning to leave this place 5 star review, on my 3rd day of coming back and enjoying my breakfast with my family at this place, we had a little problem. The OWNER- Greg thought it was not the end of the world - it wasn't, but the way he handle the situation was really disgusting. Our waiter was very apologetic and another gentleman came out and apologized, but the owner turned away in the middle of conversation. Food was great and tasty, but because the way OWNER not even a manager handled the situation was really disgusting. We as customers wait 20-45 minutes to have breakfast at this place, we should be treated with respect!!! Reply: Greg introduced himself as owner. Glad he is not. Rob the manager was very apologetic and did show he was concerned. Yes he did comp our meal. Really wished this would not happen, my daughter would have had her toast and I would pay for my meal. Yes we did visit for 3 days out of 5 days we stayed in lake George. The food and drinks were great, until the incident.

Has the classic diner style menu and the decor kinda has a filmy feel to it. It was a nice day so sitting outside was enjoyable. Service was quick and friendly and the food was simple yet tasty. I liked the fact the food was not made "too fancy" or "over the top" which for me tends to hide the true taste under layers of cheese, oil and grease.

Great breakfast stop. The French toast and pancakes were especially delicious and we'd definitely order both again! Service was great, the dining room had fun antiques and facts around.

TL;DR: Love the atmosphere and service! Food is good too but nothing to write home about. We saw that this was highly rated and had gluten-free options so it was a must try during our stay. Not disappointed in the least! First the atmosphere and decor is amazing. There's always something else to look at from the moment you walk in. Our server, Yana, was fantastic. Just the right amount of 'can I get you anything's without seeming in the least but overbearing. The food was good - not stellar - but good. I had the two egg breakfast with potatoes, sausage and rye. Eggs were done just as I asked, sausage was delicious if not weird looking, the bread was delicious. I love a good-sized eye and this was thick too. My wife had the egg bacon sandwich on GF roll which she said was delicious. It didn't fall apart and was fully loaded. Came with a nice little GF stick in it too. The big thing here is price point. As a consumer I'm looking for the best deal, right? So I got two eggs, two sausages, two slices of rye cut in half and a dish of seasoned potatoes for $13-something on a plate. My wife got two eggs folded up, four slices of thick bacon, and two pieces of bread (GF roll for +$1.79 in her case) for $7.50 if you don't count the roll upcharge. I highly recommend getting a sandwich if you're looking to save. It may look like less but it's actually more! We will definitely be going back, if not tomorrow, for sure before we leave! See you on the road!

What a cute family-owned establishment! Arrived on a rainy Sunday morning before 9am and the place was already packed with crowds. Loved the retro decor throughout the restaurant, wide breakfast selection to choose from, and great value for quality and quantity vs price paid. The staffs are also professional and quick; going above and beyond to ensure your meal is a pleasant experience. For example, when we asked for small amount of refill coffee on the way out, instead of simply refilling, they offer to refill but in to-go cup so that we can enjoy during our stroll throughout town instead of hanging back. There is also complimentary candy at checkout counter and street parking nearby in front and surrounding area. Overall, a gem breakfast spot in Lake George that should be visited! A note that this restaurant charge extra for paying with credit card. Cash payment option will take 4% off your bill.

We were told it would be a 45 minute wait. After an hour we checked where our name was and they said it was an estimated time. So after and hour in 20, we re checked and they said still waiting for a 6 person seating table. After seeing a lot of other large parties being called (I asked one who was heading in and they said they waited about an hour) so I went in again to see if we were next and she said yes they were clearing a table. So after hearing about 4 other smaller parties enter I went back in and in frustration said are we going to get seated? They once again said that there’s only so many large tables and that they were all occupied! At this point we put our name in at 9:37 and we walked off in anger at 11:20! Never had a single bench to sit on while we waited either, just standing in the street for almost 2 hours and left with our stomachs hungry!! Slow service was noted as we watched people sitting with empty plates on their table for about 20 min after they’ve finished! Bad management!

The Breakfast spot. I was looking for breakfast places near the hotel and looked at this place and wanted to try and I am glad we did, they have outdoor and indoor seating, I suggest indoor because of the decor, it’s vintage and pretty cool lol the place was packed and the service was pretty fast, the food was fresh and delicious, and the prices are very reasonable!

Best breakfast EVER hands down! We had to wait an hour as you guys were SO busy which now makes sense bc of Covid & the fact that the food is absolutely delicious! We walked around town while we waited for our food & I just have to say it was WELL WORTH THE WAIT! Our waiter was wonderful! He was super sweet & funny. The atmosphere was awesome... I love that it’s all stuff from around 1945, super interesting! We passed by yesterday (Friday) & I seen the sign for the garlic Parmesan home fries & we noticed the amount of people waiting & knew we just had to try it out! So we came here the next day & I am so happy we did! Great ending to our mini vacation together as we celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary that was yesterday. My husband finished his whole entire plate, & while I could of, I chose not to be in food paralysis haha & took the rest in a to go container. Also, the food came out SUPER FAST! Which I was shocked over bc of how busy you guys were! The garlic Parmesan home fries were to die for! Sooooo yummy! Thank you for the wonderful experience!!! We will definitely be back again next year!

This is a very nice breakfast place in the area. They don't take reservations but you can set your name in a wait-list and will receive a text once your table is ready which is super convenient. The food was great and the waitress was very attentive. It's a good spot to bring your dog as well, they brought some water for my dog without me even asking. The 40s vibe of the restaurant is something I didn't really care about, but it is definitely charming.

Amazing place. Wait is a little long but so worth it. Food is outstanding and the atmosphere is great. Everyone around us enjoyed their meals. The manager was our waiter and he was awesome! Highly, highly recommend the Breakfast Spot when visiting Lake George. We WILL be back and will tell anyone we know heading to Lake George to make this their "Breakfast Spot".

What a great place. They greeted us very friendly and although it was busy, they allow you to reserve your spot and notify you by text once your table is available. The waitress Yana, was very friendly and provided an exceptional service. Being a business owner, I believe that people make a difference and she certainly made a difference to our experience. The food was also tasteful and cinnamon waffles were out of this world. Keep it up ! Highly recommend this place. Great job !

So...the wife and I left Lake Placid and drove down to Lake George. After a miserable diner last night really needed some good food. The Breakfast Spot is an excellent place. Atmosphere is great and the food is perfect. Friendly service. Definitely stop in if you're in the area.

We have been coming here yearly for many years and will always come back! Last year I was excited that they offered a gluten-fee waffle and was momentarily disappointed to not see it on the menu this year, that was until I tasted the GF French toast 😋. Sometimes you do have a wait, but it is totally worth it and they do try to get you through efficiently without losing quality in service. Both times we went this vacation we had Yana for our server and she was very sweet and attentive. We both ordered the same breakfast both days, GF french toast and the stuffed French toast. You are doing yourself and them a disservice not to treat yourself here!

Oh mannnn. First of all. Best breakfast spot in all of LG I wish they’d be open all day and night for those delicious meals. Long wait. But worth it. Staff is absolutely lovely and cozy. They really make you feel at home. Can’t wait to come back

The most absolute important thing to remember is the French Toast is the real deal. Not wet bread fried a bit but actually real custard dipped bread, ENJOY

We went here for breakfast in October and it was delicious! I had the Monte Cristo sandwich and potatoes. My fiance had the potatoes with garlic parmesan and I wish I got that because it was sooo good! The staff were also pleasant. The only downsides were that it was over $40 just for breakfast and the two of us so I felt that's quite a bit of money for breakfast food, and we waited 45 minutes to get a table. But I can understand the long wait because the food was definitely delicious! We would eat here again!

Great experience! Aidan waited on us and did a fantastic job ! Very attentive and offered us many items . He told us about drink specials and made sure we had great experience! The breakfast was good. The Belgium waffle were perfect. Price point good. I also loved the retro theme. It's like stepping back in time at malt shop. Interesting vintage items to explore while you eat. The only problem I had is we were in a hurry and wanted take out and was told because they were so busy they were only accommodating dine in patrons. Which didn't make sense because it takes longer and is more work to serve a dine in customer. Didn't make sense but any rate we decided to dine in and the food was pretty good. The waiter forgot both of our meat but was quick about fixing the situation.

Super fire spot in Lake George for breakfast. We were hunting for a breakfast spot around Lake George and found too many without great reviews. How ironic to find one called the breakfast spot. Lol. Glad we came here. There was a wait but it was well worth it. The food takes some time to come out also but everything was spot on. Savory, perfect temperature and well plated dishes. We had The lobster Benedict, lox and bagel, pancakes, French toast, eggs and Mac all cheese. Delicioso! Will definitely come back when we have a chance.

I went here for my birthday with three dear friends on a very busy Sunday this October, and I was blown away. Someone else had a birthday, and I heard them singing to them. Ok, so this is not that unusual. But when they found out that it was my birthday they brought out a sparkler-topped stacked pancake as a birthday treat, played a special song, and even gave me a birthday card signed by several of the staff w/a surprise inside, I was blown away! Now onto the food: The menu was outstanding and very creative: this is not your standard, cooking-cutter American diner, playing it safe with the same old boring fare. I had the Monte Cristo Eggs Benedict- and it was outstanding. Along with a celebratory Mimosa, the bursting with personality Brooklyn born waitress cracked us up and served us with flair. Everyone in our party of 4 was delighted! The menu was creatively displayed, and a variety of amazing antiques were carefully displayed through the restaurant. The staff even came out to bring more. Highly recommended.

Great place to eat. Little bit of a wait on Sunday morning, but well worth it. I'm sure with limited seating and social distancing the wait wouldn't be so bad. But I plan on going back as soon as possible. Service was excellent as well. I forget the young waiters name, but he was great. 100% recommend.

This place is a must for breakfast or brunch. They had a great mimosa menu along with normal drinks. My wife's waffle meal was great and I got Frank's Favorite Steak Melt. The Melt was probably the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. It's steak, garlic parmesan, onion, and and egg on this like buttery toast, it was a 10/10 in my book. Service was wonderful and they had both indoor and outdoor dining.

I spent two days at lake George for a friend’s birthday and the decor and food was amazing! The two days I was visiting the lake I went to this breakfast spot both mornings. The first morning my friend received a gift card for her birthday and the 2nd morning it was closing and not seating anyone, however the staff was lovely and allowed us to spend our last morning at the lake with them. Very nice place to have a good breakfast, inside with all their decorations can take you back in time and realized how much our country has change. My family and I really enjoyed the food and also learned some history on the way. The only negative thin will be the long wait to get seat but that is understandable since we are in 2020 and we have to be patience. I recommend this place 100 %. Hope everyone enjoy. God bless!
