** My Maps reviews aren't typically unflattering... however Run as fast as you can from here. Wyndham should shut this property down. We've been here an hour. No water. (returned after 2+ hours). Our first first room had a chipmunk in it. We never saw it leave. We believe that it climbed into the hole in the wall under the sink. Yes, each room comes with a hole in the wall under the sink. The desk clerk was trying to overcharge other customers (check your bill carefully). Rooms were being canceled by "your website." One family had to leave after having a confirmation and driving 8 hours. No Free breakfast included. We've watched an endless line of complaints at the front desk. Sad.

I’m not one to leave reviews ever. I stayed for a week. During that week they never cleaned or even vacuumed the room once. The room had no towels I had to ask 3 times. The shower curtain was full of mold . Twice I had to take a cold shower because there was no hot water. The person at the front desk was absolutely no help at all. Stay away from this place it’s disgusting and disappointing. If I could I wouldn’t even have giving them one star. And the pictures on their website make it look very clean and comfortable. I don’t know where those pictures came from but it wasn’t here. The grounds were not mowed or taken care of at all.

It was the most disgusting and sketchy experience of my life. They tried to cancel our room and tell us they sent an email, then proceeded to tell us the room had water damage and a broken lock that’s why they canceled. Then they set up a room that was dirty and smelled of mildew. There was water damage, the carpet got wet in the room when showering in the bathroom. No AC, no fridge. They told us they only took cash. We only stayed because it was midnight and no one else had a room. They played loud music and hung out at the pool until the next morning. And yes I mean the hotel staff as well as all of these other sketchy individuals. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

I stayed there for 2 nights. I had come for a birthday party high season Aug 20th to Aug 22nd . I just needed a place to sleep that was not high priced. The place is pretty close to town. The manager Akbar was very kind. I asked for extra towels and washcloths and he gave them to me. He also cleaned the pool extra for me but unfortunately I did not have time to use it. The pool is very nice. He is very accommodating. Now for sure the rooms are very simple and sparse. Prime season in Lake George is not cheap. This motel made it possible for me to join my family for a birthday party without breaking the bank . Can it use improvements? for sure. But he gets a star for effort and being nice, Not many managers are,

I wouldn't wish my worse enemy to stay here for even an hour! Save your soul! Run for your life this is no exaggeration. I have never left a bad review but this place was sketchy as hell. Charged me in full a whole month before I even got there. No water for the whole weekend, no power, the fire alarm wouldn't stop beeping. The people running the place never opened the door for coffee I had to ask for 5 different keys in 2 days because they never worked. I think they have half of their useless family living there as well. I "woke" up today at 6:30 crying my eyes out that I just couldn't take it anymore and had to leave. Ruined my entire vacation that I hah planned for 4 months. Honestly I know it's cheap but that's why. Please don't go here!

BEDBUGS! This was the dirtiest place I’ve ever been in. Rooms were dirty and smelled, bedbugs in the beds. Nobody was renting rooms, it was just some people living there. The picture they put up isn’t the actual hotel, it is section 8 housing behind the hotel. Owner refused to refund. Had to go stay somewhere else, place needs to be condemned.

UPDATE: I went outside at 4 am to get air from the smoke and my key card won't work to get back in. No one answered the phone number that I called to check in AND the mailbox is full so I can't leave a message so I guess I'm sleeping in my car tonight The front desk is not open 24 hours like it says on the website. Sign on door says 8am-8 pm but I arrived around 6 pm and there was no one at the desk. The phone number listed on the website is out of service. There is a random number listed on the door to the lobby I had to call to get some one to come check me in 15 minutes later. The non smoking room reeks of smoke and there has been non stop talking outside my room all night. As someone who normally stays in cheap hotels, avoid this one at all costs. Not worth it.

This place needs some extreme TLC.. There was very little lighting outside, especially at the road. We showed up after dark and couldn't even see the sign as it was not lit up. We almost missed the turn. Front desk staff wasn't necessarily rude, but they didn't speak while checking me in... they literally handed me a room key and said I'm all set. No info on the property or anything, I had to request a receipt. I was never given a wifi password although their signs state there is free wifi. It was the same upon check out. I was not asked if I had a pleasant stay or anything.. wasn't even greeted as I walked in. I handed the key in and left... they didn't even ask my room number. The room smelled a bit funny but that's typical with places like this. The room needs some upgrades for sure. There is crayon on the wall, peeling paint, stains, ripped curtains. As for cleanliness there was no obvious issues but I also don't really trust that anything is super clean here. Lighting inside the room wasn't great either. There were 4 lamps, none of them very bright and only 3 of them worked. Even if Doubtful I'd ever stay here again, I'd probably spend a bit more and find something a little nicer. Or at least a place where the service is friendly.

This is nice place in Lake George, little bit out of the village but it’s quite. Clean pool, not expensive and beautiful view. Not the best place but it deserved 4 stars. And it’s getting bettering.

DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY HERE Knew we weren’t coming to a 5 star hotel. But this was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had while traveling. Rooms are old and beat up bad. They have sketchy people living here not just booked for nights. It’s a efficiency apartment spot. First night we found other peoples used feminine products and boxers. Brought it to the “desk” the guys looked at me like I was crazy and switched my room. My family threw everything into the back of the car and went out for the day. Got home late got to the new room. Bigger. But couldn’t take a shower because the shower was yet again disgusting as well as when we went to lay down we felt griddy sand like substance on the bed and on further examination found hairs in the sheets. Went to the desk. About 10:30 sign on the door with a number to call. Guy answers says he’s closed when I need a new bed set. He came back with an attitude asking what was wrong and everything I’m saying is not possible and I spent the whole day in the room. Told him I needed a new bet set so we could sleep and go home. He called somebody and then chased a guy around the parking lot finally getting to him and having him go get our new bed set. Parking lot guy comes to drop off new bed set and takes photos. I show him mine from both rooms. He scurry’s around texting on his phone. Lights flicker and don’t work nails and screws where you walk safes in both rooms didn’t work most furniture and appliances are from the late 90’s early 2000’s. Needs a good inspection from the town and state.

I reserved my room 2 weeks before my stay but when I showed up they said the only king size room had a broken AC. So thankfully they offered me a room with a double instead that had: *Water damaged ceilings with paint chips flaking directly over the bed *A shower curtain rod that wasn’t properly installed causing it to tilt downward and outward, which caused the curtain to not stay at the edges and move to the center of the rod which got water everywhere *A safe (which is something I’d REALLY want to use staying here) was busted open and had no power *A “comforter” was a apparently a repurposed window curtain And that list isn’t even mentioning smaller issues like a broken ice machine, a coffee maker without coffee or anything, bugs in the room, etc… you get the picture. But at least I got towels unlike most of these reviews.

We booked this "house" for a night through a travel website. I took myself, 2 other adults, and 3 children ages 8-11. The description that is listed in all that the house has to offer is extremely misleading. There is no pool next to the house like the description wants you to believe. The pool is located some distance from the house and is open to all from the Travel Lodge and Travelocity places, that are located right in front of this house. This house is not secluded and you are subjected to the actions of inappropriate people in the Travelodge place. Our kids saw people on drugs and acting out aggressively. The description also says it has queen beds. This place only had twin beds or slightly bigger. We found dead bugs including a dead cockroach under the living room chairs that have wheels. Not good! Kitchen was nice but dishes were badly worn and we couldn't use them for breakfast or dinner. There is a large pile of old trash right in front of the dumpster that has been sitting there some time. We saw skunks and foxes because of the trash. Had to watch the children close while playing outside. The police was called twice to the Travelodge when we were there. I talked to the manager and he assured me nothing was wrong. The commotion of the police activity was highly visible. True pictures are attached of the 2011 US-9 Lake George NY rental house. I also asked for a refund or partial refund, and he said there is zero refunds! I do not want anyone else being duped by this listing. I have posted MANY positive reviews, but this one warrants attention and buyer beware!!

Terrible. #1 they have bed bugs! I woke up with red bumps all over my arms.THIS IS NOT OKAY. there was also dead bugs on the inside of the windows, and in the shower. The shower cwas absolutely disgusting and moldy. The shower curtains are originally supposed to be white, but it was black moldy and gunky all through out the bottom. Are you kidding me? Not to mention the bad smell when you enter the hotel.. Not too clean either. Beds looked appealing but the bed bugs didnt help. They left used toilet paper in the bathroom. AIR CONDITIONING DOES NOT WORK. If you stand close to it thats about all you're getting. The pool was great. Pet friendly. Other than that I cant even give it a 2 stars. This is my first time staying at a hotel so dirty and cheap , also my first time getting bed bugs. You guys can do so much better but as of right now I dont recommend this hotel for ANYONE.

This was the worst place we have ever stayed. We checked in and checked out about 30 minutes later. There were mice outside the building, mouse droppings in our room, an overwhelming smell of urine (probably from pets) and large, visible stains on the carpet. The walls had pealing paint and the exterior of the property was poorly lit and unkempt. Other people were complaining of their rooms being in similar conditions or worse. Forget COVID! This place poses a big health risk for people and pets and is very unsanitary. They need a health inpector to stop by and check every room and then close until the renovation is complete. They also need a pest company to take care of the mice problem inside and outside of the rooms.

The worst experience ever !! Do not stay here. I would give this place a BIG ZERO. Here are the what happened. Opened our room door and we were welcomed with a spider hanging from the wall. There where multiple hairs on the bedsheet, pillows, bathroom and even in towels. The Ac was not working and water didn’t properly drain in the sink. We where afraid if we stayed we could pick some disease. After mentioning all this to the reception desk, he gave me a new hand towel and said enjoy ur stay sir. I ended up leaving to a better place. If its a true Wyndham property, they should take strict actions against all the violation. This is against the basic health and safety requirements.

The rooms are nothing like what they have online. The beds say queen size but I'm pretty sure their a twin xl. The guy at the dest was very rude not friendly at all. The stairs leading up to our room are so rotted the boards are bowing in the middle. The water pressure for the shower is horrible. Every guest we talked to was very upset about this place. It is so run down and you do not get a scenic view either like the website says. No wonder why you can't get a refund once you get there. Otherwise they wouldn't have any money coming in.

My father paid $120 per night for this hotel. Other than the cleanliness that the other reviews had mentioned, it was very noisy at night. I believe the building was poorly built. At around 11 pm every night, guests would come in on the top floor, and every step they took made a loud thud or creak. It was so loud I felt like they would fall through the ceiling at any moment honestly. It kept us up for hours each night.

We were hesitant about staying here because of all the negative reviews. We decided to stay the first night of our trip because we were basically looking for a bed for a night as we were getting in late. We thought it was pretty decent for the price and the location was super close to the village. The rooms are a bit dated and not in the best shape but it was clean and comfortable enough. If your expectations aren't too high and you want to visit Lake George on a budget or stay for a few nights I'd definitely consider staying here.

This place looked deserted. I thought the part that we stayed in was shut down at first. The driveway was over grown and it looked like a post apocalyptic movie scene. There was an abandoned shopping cart by the stairs to our room. The room appeared clean and we were only staying to sleep and were up early for an event, so while I wouldn’t stay again, I didn’t want to cancel. My husband tried to lock the deadbolt that night and the door frame FELL OFF. Worker came right away and then looked at me like I was crazy and said, “I thought you said you can’t lock the door. The door lock works.” Like what?! He went and got nails and put it back on immediately, but was not too happy about it. You also cannot get ahold of them either. My daughter accidentally forgot her blanket in the bed and we’ve called over and over (at least a dozen times) all evening and no one picks up and neither does the VM they say they have. I will NEVER stay here again.

Avoid!! Wish I had read reviews but I was desperate for a pet friendly room and working on a budget so I booked here and ultimately ended up leaving. The staff member who checked me in was polite. The room was filthy, there were dozens of living and dead black flies. There was a mushroom bloom above the shower stall. There was visible black mold on the sheetrock beneath the sink vanity, which was not located in the bathroom.... I attempted to wash my hands and there was absolutely no hot water. A sad face on the mirror had been smudged into the filth. The grounds were neglected, the driveway was in shambles. After driving hours with my senior cat cooped up in his crate I had no choice but to cancel my weekend plans and drive back home. I did not interact with any staff beyond check in, I just wanted it to be over.
