Faneuil Hall is an excellent place to start the Freedom Trail tour of Boston historic sites. The park rangers in the upstairs town hall meeting room provide great information about this important building.

The market wasn't what I was expecting but the museum upstairs is great. They had a free talk going on when we went and it was really interesting. Free to visit so definitely worth a visit.

A historical landmark of Boston. The place looks cool. There were a few retail shops inside. I personally felt the places sold goods that were overpriced. More than the shopping experience, I guess people visit here because of it's historical significance. It looked cool outside and inside

Although we arrived the day of the month that the naturalization ceremony takes place we still were able to go up and see the 4th floor. The Curator was a jolly fellow who enjoyed sharing with us. The history is amazing, the art breathtaking and respect for our forefathers even higher than before retiring after 21+ years in the USMC. Visit if you get the chance, it's well worth you time.

This once smaller building was absorbed into the bigger renovation that visitors see now. This place has an extremely interesting backstory. Make sure to visit the second floor to see the beautiful Great Hall with seating for 800! On the ground floor, remnants of the old market days are visible with a cashier station in one corner and meat hooks.

We were following the Freedom Trail and stepped inside and got tangled up in the gift shop. I bought a couple of books on the history of the trail and the clerk was friendly and informed me that Veterans can view the Hall for free, which was nice. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to visit (headed to The North End for dinner) but maybe next time.

Fun to visit and walk around and shop on the first floor in the shops - I didn't realize it's a National Park but they did indeed have the usual National park items for sale for collectors like the pins, stamps, and the small silver coins. It was nice to come and get your bearings for the Freedom Trail walk, nearby sites to see, and speak to an informed Ranger (I had already started at the other end at the Old Church so I was already more than halfway done at this point, but if you're starting out this could be a good point). I went upstairs to see the Great Hall which was beautiful. They had nice, clean bathrooms available as well. Best of all, it was free!

Really cool place to visit. If you’re in Boston, I highly recommend stopping by Faneuil Hall. We really enjoyed the square. Great place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere.

Faneuil hall is one of my favorite places in Boston. They have amazing street food all in one place. from quazines in Europe to American style food. The culture there is so much fun and welcoming. If you are there during the summer their are street performers and in the winter they have a pretty Christmas light show

An awesome spot to visit as part of the Freedom trail with a small learning center in the basement which plays a short educational film about slavery, abolitionist movement, Underground Railroad. A market with a few different shops are located on the main level. Upstairs is also the Great Hall and Museum.

We visited here while in Boston and timed it perfectly. Once we realized you could go upstairs, we made it in time for one to the rangers to talk about the history and answer questions. It was wonderful to be able to learn more about the building and the significance of the meetings held there. It was confusing to get in to the upstairs part with the way the gates were set up. Ended up in the gift shop first. They have a lot of great souvenirs. I regret not buying more.

It's OK. A couple of attractions inside and some vendors. Clean bathrooms in the basement, and a drinking water dispenser... That is a real highlight.

It's a beautiful and historic building, but when you enter, the interior is mainly gift shops and the like, with a historical display. Limited hours for areas outside the main floor.

Great souvenir shops and historic building.

Historical site in Boston run by the park service. Some good Historical displays and good information about other Historical sites in Boston. Would be a good place to start exploring and seeing sights on the freedom trail . Parking here and or anywhere else in Downtown Boston can be a huge pain in the behind and I do recommend taking the Train whenever possible.

This really cool historic building used to be much smaller. It was expanded in the very early 1800s to accommodate Boston's booming population. The Great Hall is indeed pretty magnificent. Make sure to take the stairs or elevator up to the second floor to check it out. Up again is an armory museum. There are restrooms on the basement level and on the Great Hall level. Of course, this is one of the stops on the historic Freedom Trail.

The outside of the building is beautiful and well preserved and the idea of having souvenir shops inside is good - but unfortunately poorly implemented. Toilets closed, some stalls empty. We went to “Greetings from Boston” twice because we didn’t have time to look for another store. The staff here was very unfriendly and was busy with other things than answering my questions. First we had a salesman who was packing something and was annoyed by my questions and then a woman who was busy watching films and wasn't particularly interested in giving us advice. We would just do it next time Buy Qincey Market and not here.
