So, let’s see, where do I start? I stopped by Elephants Deli in Lake Oswego earlier this evening to pick up a sandwich and ? for dinner. I’ve never been to an Elephants but heard a few good things about them so I thought I’d give it a try. Boy was a misinformed and disappointed. I was told they were out of the sandwich I initially wanted to order, I wondered how could they be out of deli meat? Well, I later find out that their sandwiches are all premade, and they sold out of the “premade” sandwiches. Apparently they aren’t freshly made as I so stupidly assumed was done at a “deli”. So… I ordered a pork, broccolini & mozzarella sandwich. After about 10 minutes, I noticed a small sandwich being pulled out of a deli cooler, and thought that this couldn’t be my sandwich, boy was I wrong. (this was when I came to the sudden realization that their sandwiches are premade). The sandwich was taken from the cooler and put it into a quick heat oven and then packaged (put back in some of the same paper wrapping from the deli cooler). Hoping this was going to be a phenomenal $14.50 sandwich. I took it and my sweet potato tots and headed home. En route I decided to munch on my marble sized sweet potato tots on the way home, apparently all 9 of them.😑 Getting home and examining my sandwich, I was less than thrilled. While I love fresh ciabatta bread, but this def wasn’t fresh. I could barely bite into it and chew it, it turned out to be what was basically pork flavored bread, broccolini stalks and unmelted mozzarella . Please refer to the accompanying pictures. So $17.50 for a small below subpar sandwich and 9 marble sized tots, (although “they/the tots” were ok) I’m definitely regretting my visit to Elephants. An Elephants I wish I could forget!

I’ve never felt so invisible in my life. Put in a mobile order for what I thought would be a quicker pick up. I get directed to the pick up counter, one friendly gentleman said we were waiting on the grill, then he vanished. Meanwhile, I wait And wait, no one checks on me or asks a thing while they put out samples or chat at the grill. After it’s past my pick up time and the grill is quiet, I walk over and ask if my meal is done. They go check, it’s been sitting there along with 2 other meals just waiting. He walks them over to pick up counter. The girl there still doesn’t check if they’re mine! I have to say “those are for me” and take my order. I’ll never be back. The fish tacos had no flavor, were cold & I paid extra for those brown avocado.

Good menu but they really need to get organized. I ordered 30 minutes ago and am still waiting for my food. The kitchen looks like they’re spending half their time talking trying to figure out who’s doing what. Really disappointing, especially for the prices they charge. Update: got an overcooked burger a few minutes and they told us they had burnt the other part of our order and asked if we wanted a refund, 40 minutes after ordering.

Good food, great atmosphere, great set up. I wish they had some picked fish though!

The food is always excellent at Elephants. Just a little pricey ($14.50 for a sandwich with no sides or chips). Plan on about $20 for lunch here (including 15% gratuity). I was hungry again a couple hours later.

Just picked up a pre-order of two individual Thanksgiving dinners for reheating tomorrow. Upon opening at home, was sad to discover that the promoted "side" of cranberry sauce was about the size of my thumb and the "side" of gravy was not much bigger. This is supposed to be the best meal of the year and with each costing $25, I could not be more disappointed. Needless to say, I will not be returning!

I had no idea they had a full lunch! This is a game changer! I very much enjoyed my burger and fries with their chipotle mayo dip.

I loved the Elephants when it was in Meadows. Friendly, great food, and stellar customer service. Since going to the new one these past couple of months (we only live here part time) I have noticed a huge difference. The staff does not seem to care about customer service, if they even know what it is. After the lady at the counter was not very nice to me a couple of weeks ago ( just was not helpful and kind of off putting) I decided to stay away for awhile. Today I decided to give it another try and went in to get my special drink, a chai latte. I was pleased to see a different young girl at the counter and ordered my chai. Then the other lady came out of nowhere to make it. I asked the young girl if she would please make it instead of the lady as I had had problems with her being nice to me in the past. Well, the young girl said, “are you serious? That’s rude of you!” Really??? I’m being rude?? I didn’t say that to her but I did say thank you and canceled my order. I definitely am not a rude person. I noticed above that you have stand up meetings. If she was my employee, I would have a stand up and walk her out. She should never tell a customer they are being rude. Especially when I only asked her nicely to make my drink. Then, let’s talk about my tuna melt. We were 14 of us on Mother’s Day. The service was non existent and the food was less than your normal. My tuna melt lacked cheese and very little tuna. I will say that you prepackaged food is excellent!! A bit expensive, but worth every penny. Good luck with customer service. I hope it improves and that I and my family will feel comfortable returning.

The sandwhich was good. This is more of a business park cafe. Food is made everyday and they run out depending on the amount of customers.

I love their food, and it's always very good. However, I have celiacs disease and when I go there and ask that the food preparers wash their hands and change gloves before handling my food, they always become very combative and rude to me. I've had cashiers argue with me about my own dietary restrictions, saying things like "They're not going to put their hand in your food, you'll be fine" and I've ever had several eye rolls and audible groans of irritation. This all has been very frustrating as the company advertises gluten free food as a large feature of their menu, but I'm always very scared to go there as I'm treated very poorly when I do. I'd love to eat there more often, but I just don't feel comfortable eating somewhere where the staff is not even willing to make simple accommodations for a severe medical condition.

If you want cheap food, this is not the place to go. If you're tired of fast food but only have fast food time, this is a great option. The food is GOOD, the staff is AWESOME, always very friendly and polite. Did I mention the food is good? Great for when you want something that's quick but not fast food. But it's also pricier than 'fast food.' I regularly spend $15 for a hot entree, side, drink, and dessert. And yes a sandwich, chips, and drink can run upwards of $10. So, if you're looking for an inexpensive meal, I don't recommend it.

I had a great experience for lunch/pre 5 dinner. BLT was terrific with avocado and my colleagues Cheeseburger looked great. We were offered samples of pasta and wine at 5 on a Thursday and the customer service was stellar! To top it off it was 2 girls first day and their smile and eagerness was awesome. I’ll definitely be back to this spot and great atmosphere btw…

First time at this location and loved it. Came in with a group and everyone was happy with their food. Good variety. Lots of room to sit inside or outside. Will definitely be back.

I was pleasantly greeted and listened to. I needed comfort food for an ailing parent. The suggested soup hit the spot. This Elephants is a small boutique. Perfect for my needs and I highly recommend.

Great place to stock up on picnic foods. Everything we got was pretty good. Kale salad and quinoa salad were a pretty good value at 8 bucks. The fruit salad was a little light. They did have a lot of gluten free options. People were nice, place was clean.

Stopped in for some soup and frozen dessert after a visit from the orthodontist around the corner. My son and I ate in and had a wonderful bite while we visited and checked out the delicious side dishes! Tomatoe Orange is the way to go ALWAYS!

I saw this place go in recently in my neighborhood and I was excited to try it out. They have great sandwiches and I am excited to go back here again.

Phenomenal meal, came in for brunch/lunch with a friend. I'm veggie, he isn't, so I got a vegetarian sausage breakfast sandwich that was amazing! And my friend got a Grilled Cheese with 2 different soups and BOTH were delish! Lastly, grab a chocolate mousse cup they are soooo good I almost bought another. Definitely a repeat customer as of now!

This restaurant just opened and everyone is very friendly. They layout and decor is beautiful and cozy. I had a frittata which tasted amazing and the vanilla latte from their stumptown coffee was excellent. I really enjoyed my time at this place as well as the food and drink that I received. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant.

Finally the wait is over! We are thrilled elephants got a makeover. Frittata everyday!!

Mediocre food. Very expensive. Chaotic ordering and payment experience.

Loved it all! Only wish they had an easier checkout system like the other locations. Being able to pay at any station would really boost the efficiency.

Had the club which was okay but I prefer my bacon crisp which this was not..it was barely cooked smoked bacon.

We are having Elephants prepare our Thanksgiving dinner this year. First year ever no home cooking will be done. 👍. All the food looks great, never ever have had a meal from Elephants that we did not thoroughly enjoy. Very much looking forward to the 🦃 meal tomorrow (Thanksgiving day).

Fantastic food options!! Healthy or good old fashioned comfort food. The soups are amazing! Every time I visit the staff is welcoming and very helpful. A little steep on price, however you get what you pay for. The extra cost is worth it.

Our office has had to maintain a crew throughout the pandemic and I've gotten team lunches from Flying Elephant's. As things get back to normal our staff continues to grow, and the lunch orders become more complicated. Sam and her team went out of their way to fill a 33-person order on short notice. They nailed it. The order was on time and organized by person. They called with any questions they had through the process, they patiently walked through the order with me to make sure everything was right, and the whole transaction was flawless. I promise I'll give them more notice next time, though!
