I would have left a lower rating but the value for the quality of room was more than acceptable. Be aware that this is a MOTEL. I checked into my room for 2 days and was completely left alone the whole time. I saw a couple of roaches but not too excessive and I believe that was to be expected. There was some blood on the sheets of one of the beds but lucky for me the other bed sheets looked to be in better shape to the naked eye. The bed was plenty comfortable. The climate control worked without a hitch. A/C only no heat in my room. There was a full size fridge and the room was quite roomy. The bathroom was clean; the shower floor was a bit dirty but not stained. There was also a window in the bathroom near the shower that was left open but it’s high enough that no one can look in, I believe. The lighting left something to be desired but was workable. I had no issues with staff and I didn’t try out the free breakfast unfortunately. I didn’t use the pool but the landscaping around the pool and motel were very nice and relaxing. The location was nice and very close to the beach. I would stay here again if I didn’t have the money to stay in a hotel.

I did not feel comfortable staying at this motel. The management staff was not friendly and the gates did not work appropriately. I waited in my room for my brother to arrive (I sat at the desk), and once he did one of the female managers came up and told me exclaiming that I couldn’t allow him to come inside unless he came into the office and signed in. Not very welcoming … she didn’t introduce herself or anything, I thought she was another guest staying at the hotel at first. The environment and the setting did not make me feel comfortable and when I told them at the desk the female manager spoke to me in a very condescending manner. I was very upset and asked to be refunded and they told me I wouldn’t get anything back. I really didn’t want to cause any trouble. The bed wasn’t used, the female manager was aggressive and not friendly. I would not recommend this motel to anyone.

Stayed at this Roach Motel for a couple of day. The worse experience ever. Had to sanitize it myself mold surrounded the bathroom windows and bottom of the shower had to wear shower shoes. Women manager knocks on the door and stated that window was open but we just came in so how was that possible. Women was absolutely disgusting wearing a house dress no shoes nd minding everybody’s business. Got upset that we did not want their stained towels or use their soap. Did not fully trust management. Bugs throughout the room. Don’t even know how they stay in business. However my relative works for the state. I will definitely have the license of operation. Also both are on Meth. Spoke with a guess and she stated that both on drugs. Seen it for myself. DO NOT STAY AT THE FILTHY MOTEL

Stayed here the night of march 27th before going on a cruise trip that I had planned for the following days, I was a little nervous on staying here as after I booked my stay as after I read a lot of negative reviews. Most of being about the place being dirty or bed bugs in the mattresses which is my biggest fear, I got the Elvis Presley room which was one at the top at the end which was nice I liked the location being at the top and having my own little corner to look out on the balcony of, as soon as I got to my room I instantly checked the bed EVERYWHERE to look for any possible marks or sighting of anything relating to bed bugs or anything but I couldn’t find a thing which put my mind to ease a bit. I swam in the pool once it was fine no complaints, nice and warm. Little park overlooking the lake which I walked to about 5 mins away was nice. Woke up and slept fine, no bugs or bites which I was very grateful for that was the only thing I was worrying about but I was fine. Free breakfast the next morning was fine nothing special but it was fine! Before leaving the next morning the lady owner was very nice and gave me a free reusable bag with their logo on it and some free post cards which was very nice as I’m from Canada. (I could have cancelled and booked elsewhere but I decided to stay with this one as it was very last minute) overall I would rate it 4/5 personally I slept fine and the room was fine and the owners were generous to me.

An absolutely amazing stay! One of the coolest and cleanest hotels I’ve been to in quite some time. Freshly made breakfast included with your rental. Each room had a specific theme. I was honored to stay in Room 27 which was Princess Diana themed. Amazing staff! Super friendly! Heated pool! And I got my room for $80, and the overall quality of my stay trumped hotels I’ve stayed at close by for double the price. I will be back!

Me and my friend tried to stay 3 nights. Killed two roaches and the A/C kept pumping in cigarette smoke into our room… We left the next morning at 8am immediately because my friend was on the verge of an asthma attack due to the smell of smoke. We contacted the owner and he would only refund us the one night we stayed, instead of refunding us the two nights we didn’t wanna stay. He was very rude on the phone. Would not recommend to anyone.

Fabulous place- clean rooms, great location and everything! The husband/ manager is so kind and very helpful! However the other manager (the wife I believe) is very rude and incredibly disrespectful. Screaming and yelling, no communication, inappropriate and just kind of an embarrassment all around. She was highly unprofessional and caused many scenes and even yelled at her husband? (Lack of communication again) Minus our experience with her… this place was wonderful and I definitely recommend!! Also note they only allow cash- cannot hold a credit/debit card and the women is apparently allowed to just come in your room and say it’s trashed and tell you to clean (even though your checked in?) and it’s unacceptable to have your suitcase belongings spread out in your own room . I give 4 stars because again the male manger was wonderful and the whole place was perfect and don’t want 1 rude person to ruin the whole experience!

AVOID this place! It was filthy, the room reeked of mildew, and we didn’t even have any hot water in our shower. I ended up not even staying and booked a Hampton down the road. I tried this place because of the quirkiness and I loved the idea of vintage Hollywood, but now I regret it. I booked through a third party and probably won’t get my money back.

Everything about this place is just perfect. If I ever need to book a hotel, this one would be my first decision and of course if there's any availability. The owner of this place is super friendly and the whole place just has what anyone needs 🙏.

Over all this is a great place to stay, My fiance and I traveled from NY and searched for a decent place and this motel exceeded our expectations. ERIC and the Owner are both great Guys and and were very professional, along with the cleaning staff( such sweethearts)!. The rooms are amazing and VERY clean. The place definitely says come and relax with a tropical vibe by the pool! Would I continue to stay here, ABSOLUTELY!!!! Thank you guys for everything. Brian and Aarika

The staff are so friendly and easy to talk too! The part Owners are absolute sweethearts, they helped us so much and definitely made our stay more enjoyable. Our beds were so comfortable I didn’t even wanna get up. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, the pool was most definitely my favorite part. I would recommend this to anyone, it’s honestly the best place we stayed during our vacation and I would definitely come back next year. The experience was simply astronomical! If you’re planning on staying I hope you enjoy your stay just as much as we did.

Myself and my family was there for over a month the staff is wonderful even the office staff is great make sure our room was clean everyday everything we needed was at hand definitely would stay again I recommend anybody that's looking for a reasonable place to stay a few days or whatever new Sungate is the place to be I want to give a special shout out to the housekeeping staff very wonderful people

When we called to ask if a room was available, the guy at the desk said yes and hung up. We called again, he did the same thing. Called again, he said to come in person. When I got there the office was locked. I finally got someone's attention to let me in and found out it was $85 cash only - not $67 like advertised. Once inside the room, I instantly regretted it. Room 4 was absolutely disgusting. Stains on the curtain, hair in the shower, a broken lampshade. The guy up front agreed to give me another room, #20, which was slightly better but not great. It at least had paint on the walls and actual furniture. In the morning, my family and I were woken up by construction next door. That's not the hotels fault, but thought I'd mention it. My expectations were low for Lake Worth anyway, and this hotel didn't disappoint!

I reserved two rooms for my family they were visiting us. The motel was very comfortable , excellent location, clean for the very good price.

Historic Hotel with a great caring staff. Beautiful rooms with a backstory/Actor/Actress attached. Large reading library, good wifi and one heck of a restaurant that serves breakfast and tacos that are amazing. Very close to the beach and good setting to RELAX and get away.

Great hotel. Good setting and staff. Good food at the restaurant and the staff is very attentive and will help you with any issues quick, fast and in a hurry. Hidden Gem with rooms that have themes. It's where the stars stay.

Price was the only reason to stay here. Dirty, broken tiles, mirrors. No outlets near the beds. Walls were paper thin and our neighbors were very loud. Pool was dingy and small.

Great place to stay. Host were very accommodating and easy to talk to. Very quick in and out with no fuss. Also with a price that can't be beat.

The room is VERY big accomodates 3 people even would do 4 but only had 3. The manager both husband and wife are very nice. I called husband answered i told him waiting for lift be there in 20 minutes myself and 2. The cost was very reasonable especially with surrounding motels over $129 a night in the area and literally 1 block away so, the room comes woth small fridge and microwave also cabinets and hangers a huge plus walk in shower I'm disabled. Beds clean No BUGS including BED BUGS. I'M a FLORIDIAN so, sugar ants come by naturally just wipe up clean up after yourself and once u see them usually by the sonk kill them they are gone. Unless u have open sweet stuff in cabinet and don't wrap things up or put things in Ziploc or containers u will see in cabinet. Pther than that perfect room let me tell you much worse in some big chain hotel's so, this nothing. Bed bugs are all over South Fla in chain hotel's sugar ants far better its Fla and ants are everywhere. Any who NO ROACHES NO BED BUGS. NICE MANAGER WHO CHECKED US IN AND VERY QUIET AND GATE LOCKED AFTER 11PM NEED YOUR ROOM KEY TO GET OUT AND IN GOOD PROTECTION. Pool nice refreshing areas to smoke in which i didn't know u could not sit on walkway with your chair the lady manager let me know and she was very nice. The only thing i could say to be wrong is that they should have a few handicapped rooms where a chair could be close to room for someone who uses a walker like me or a can and not to steady on there feet. That's it definitely would recommend this place and will stay there again if,, i need to use tri-rail to get home and the sun is going down. Oh close to everything anyone would need and in a safe area no noise literally at all 11pm a ghost town and this was on Halloween 🎃.

A beautiful location! The vintage images really bring life to the rooms. The aesthetic is splendid, pool temperature was perfect for swimming. We stayed in the Marilyn Monroe room, which was room 32.

I have to say that I love the vintage feel and the amazing vibes from all the staff. They are all very down to earth and so friendly. They keep things in line and i love the security of it as well. I felt safe walking around outside. All around i really enjoyed my stay. It's brought me a very calm vibe when my life was a little hectic,. So i have to thank them for the great energy that surounds this place very peaceful thank you.

It is a Tropical Paradise in the middle of town. Not a place for shady characters, or problem makers. Pool is clean and the breakfast is fresh and coffee is good.

The Sun gate is a nice clean motel.. The rooms are big to store your luggage. The room service and staffs there are nice and friendly they also serve breakfast in the mornings..😊 very nice motel located in a quiet area 5mins away from Lakeworth 🏖️ beach
