We came for Ribfest and had a wonderful time with our six-year-old daughter. The food and music was great! Unlimited rides for $25 dollars from 12 to 4:00 p.m. Worth every dollar.

Hand dryer in women's restroom broken. No outside coolers nor outside food permitted today: all concessions sold raised for Foundation of young baseball player whose body developed cancer and transitioned on from this realm. Many banner photos of sweet player honorably hung on diamond fences. Speed radar fundraiser also offered: $1>1 ball/$5 > 6 balls.

Huge park with a play ground, water pad a ballpark and endless grass Field

  • 5/5 Kasia S. 4 years ago on Google
Great noce size splash pad for kids with shady grass area for picnic as well as some tables and benches under a roof. Clean, maintained port-a-potties. Across the large parking lot a nice playground for kids with lots of activities. (No shade on the playground, but around the playground there are low trees kids enjoyed climbing on) Be thoughtful when arriving during a sports event or fest because parking fills up fast.

Good parks for the kiddos. Lots of room to run. Has trails for running and dog walking too.

  • 4/5 Mindy R. 4 years ago on Google
It was a nice venue for the Rib Fest with plenty of room. Be prepared to walk some if there is a big event though because there isn't a lot of close parking. There are ample side walks around the park for those of you concerned with walking on uneven ground.

My kids love this park with the options of splash pad or dry park play. This is an all ages park. Basketball and soccer area for older kids is great. Bathrooms are always locked which is inconvenient and the port a potties are filthy and never have toilet paper. Which is odd since the park is so well kept clean and never see litter or garbage anywhere.

Nice diversified playground but water feature was not working.

  • 5/5 Steve D. 1 year ago on Google
Nice playground for young kids. There are swings, slides, climbing structures, music-making features (drums, xylophones), and the whole playground is set in a bed of wood chips that are soft enough to fall into without getting hurt.

I think it's a really nice park. They have great baseball fields you can play on and a really fun playground for kids. They also have tennis and basketball courts that are in great condition.

Went to the skate park. Very decent. Plenty of parking. Friendly crowd. Ages from 12 to 45. Not crowded. Plenty of respectful people. Plus several scattered portable toilets and even one permanent bathroom.

Nice park to take the kiddos. I've been taking my kids here for over 10 years, and they always keep doing improvements. It's really nice to relax and play with your family and friends.

The amount of middle schoolers that sit in the pavilion, screaming obscenities and jumping off the roof, is awful. On a Saturday afternoon, non the less, or the fact that there are several adults there and they continued, got louder and worse. VERY DISRESPECTFUL. Apparently the parents need to supervise their middleschoolers a little more.

Sunset Park is truly a sports complex ...from basketball to soccer... the baseball fields are amazing. The little bitty water park that they have for the kids is a treat. Definitely a place that a family can go to and enjoy Lake in the Hills and the surrounding townships and cities are very lucky to have such a place to have fun at.
