I'm not an expert in Taekwondo, but martial arts was a part of my life when I was growing up. Years back, when my younger kid showed a strong interest in martial arts, I took it seriously and started visiting all martial arts schools within a 10-mile radius of where I live. I talked to each school's owner, watched how they taught, and had my kid take trial lessons. I ended up sending my kid to Ha's TKD not only because they have solid and well-organized training programs for each age group, but also the way their instructors inspire young students and how they convey the virtues of martial arts as part of the training. I want martial arts to be my sons' lifetime sport, and this is definitely a place to start their journeys. I recently followed both of my kids' footprints and started my Taekwondo practice at the same school. Besides regular TKD classes, they offer a Yang Seng program tailored to adults only. It's more focused on lifestyle balancing, mind control, dealing with stress, and circulating the Chi in your body. This program is one of the reasons I choose to continue my own TKD training there. I have seen the transformation of my kids becoming more respectful, self-disciplined, and most importantly, happier after joining this school. This is why I highly recommend Ha's Taekwondo Academy.

Rutva's journey at Ha's Taekwondo and achievements makes Bhatt family very proud of her. Rutva Bhatt started her interest in martial art during her middle school. She has been committed to Taekwondo and kept her focus, perseverance, endurance since 2012. Along with her nature of helping others achieve their goals, she has provided months of volunteer services at Ha's Taekwondo to help achieve other's goal; especially younger kids. Rutva has been awarded Black belt and currently testing for 2nd degree. Along with Rutva's commitment, Ha's Taekwondo has been great school that provided her with continuous coaching and guidance to help her improve focus, strength, discipline and follow through on every goal she commits to. Ha's Taekwondo took part in 2017 NY Open Taekwondo Championship -Rutva earned gold medal. Bhatt family would like to thank Ha's Taekwondo and would recommend other parents to join Ha's Taekwondo for their kids.

Ha's Taekwondo has provided amazing qualities and triumphs for my son. My son has always struggled with emotional regulation, peer interaction, perfectionism, fear of failure, difficulty with authority figures, and many sensory issues. Ha's Taekwondo has provided amazing opportunities for success, worked tremendously in building his confidence, a program designed with structure and consistency, assisting him with the ability to work with authority figures and peers in a positive manor. Their program is therapeutic, yet rigorous, providing a balance of teaching opportunities while creating challenges and fun. As a teacher and a therapist, the program aligns nicely with my philosophies in learning and development in the areas of both emotional regulation and social growth. Ha's Taekwondo provides high levels of support, encouraging students in obtaining challenging goals. It works to develop positive behaviors in a high intensity, enthusiastic setting, providing social and emotional character development in order to succeed most effectively in society. Overall, Ha's Taekwondo develops the best qualities from their students while providing tools and intervention in order to conquer their struggles.

My family and I have been with Ha's Taekwondo for over 3 years now. My wife started with their Yang Sang fitness classes almost 10 years ago and when our youngest needed help with his balance and discipline issues Ha's TKD was a great help in both areas. After I had seen their improvement and the classes that our other two kids were taking I joined myself. It has been almost two years since I joined and I have seen great results in my abilities. They focus on the traditional Korean TKD and have incorporated other fitness activities to compliment that training. Anyone looking for classes for their young kids under age 7 should visit a Tiny Lions class (my youngest joined at 3 and no other school would take that age), for 7 and above the Young Lions class is a step up in training and required discipline, then the adult classes are for the teenagers and up. I have seen a lot of improvement in my flexibility, strength and endurance do to their training methods. I highly recommend dropping by the school to see the classes in action.

I can't say enough about Ha's TaeKwonDo, I drive by about 5 other martial arts places on the way there. We were referred by cousins that attend the Loves Park location & it has been wonderful! Our oldest boy was lacking self confidence not knowing where he fit in when it came to sports & not only does he have more confidence he does everything with an" I can do it!" attitude & a smile!! Our youngest boy attends the TCS program for focus & self control and in the short time he has been apart of it he has come leaps & bounds ahead of where he started. He has not only learned how to focus, but his fine motor skills & emotional control have truly improved. Master Ha & all of The instructors are amazing and so personable with the kids, they take the time to make relationships with each of them. My children truly LOVE going to Ha's and we feel so lucky to be apart it.

My son came here over a year ago. He had difficulty with attention, weak motor skills, and had a hard time controlling his emotions. After just over a year my son has shown so much improvement. No more emotional breakdowns! He has so much confidence in himself!! We are so proud of all his achievements and hard work! We recommend Ha's TKD to everyone we know!! Thank you to all the instructors and Master Ha for all you've done for him!

We came to Ha's Taekwondo not realizing how great it would be for both of our kids. My daughter suffers from an autoimmune disease called Juvenile Dermatomyositis, it's a disease where her body attacks her muscles. When initially diagnosed 3 years ago she could barely walk and we would have to carry her up and down stairs. She's been doing well, but has been doing Physical therapy for 3 years, that is until we met Master Ha! Within 5 mins of our trial class he saw the same deficiencies that the Physical therapists evaluated her on. We enrolled both our kids that day and my daughter goes additionally to the 1 on 1 class for individual instruction. That was Sept (2015) and at the end of January her physical therapist said that she no longer needed Physical Therapy! We also have noticed an increased focus and confidence since starting Taekwondo at Ha's. In fact, the 1 on 1 training has helped so much with focus and confidence that we will continue both the weekly classes and the 1 on 1 class for as long as needed. Master Ha focuses on training the whole child, he really loves what he does and his instructors are very professional, the kids love them all.

They are truly a ONE OF A KIND operation. Xavier (4years old) has been attending since August 2013. He is having a blast in Tiny Lions. I have been telling everyone I know about how amazing Master Ha and Ms. Keri are. The classes have just the right amount of fun without skimping discipline and respect. The best part is that they support the parents efforts of discipline and respect at home too. I did visit other schools and I just felt that the focus was too much on the learning how to kick and punch, going through the motions and less on helping a child to realize who s(he) is and helping him/her to become a more self-confident and contributing individual. From one Parent to another- THEY GET IT! I anticipate a long future at Ha's Tae Kwon Do -Algonquin. Xavier is now almost 7. We're still at it. When we started at Has Taekwondo we struggled as a family almost daily with aggressive behavior physically and verbally from Xavier. He also struggled at school with friends as he would instantly become frustrated if his friends weren't doing as he expected. With the help of the instructors we were able to curb this behavior and help Xavier to be more self controlled. He's doing much better now with controlling his emotions all around and no more notes from school!

My son was introduced to Ha's Taekwondo when they came to his child care setting. My son was withdrawn and did not like to engage with others outside of our immediate family. He would cry and want to stay with his teacher or isolate himself during the day. My son attended Ha's Taekwondo's TCS program for 1 year and currently socializes with friends at school, makes eye contact when speaking to others and overall has more self confidence that has been noticed at home and school. My son recently began at a new school environment and has done extremely well adjusting in this new setting. Our family is grateful to Ha's Taekwondo for all the support they have provided- it has made a difference!

I have been attending Ha's Taekwondo for about 2 years now, and my experience has been awesome. Not only do I feel like the instructors and students are my second family, but I have gained courage, confidence, strength, perseverance, and dedication. Such a beneficial experience can not be replaced. It has really changed my life.

My son joined HA’s TKD just over 2 years ago and he will be ready to test for his black belt in December.  The main reason that I looked to enroll my son was to help him learn self confidence and perseverance. He had a habit of starting something and then not following through until the end.  Over the past 2 years he has gained self confidence and has become very good at finishing what he starts.  In fact, he has been a straight-A student for 2 years in a row now.  I also have a martial arts background and have trained with many instructors.  Master HA is one of the best that I have seen when it comes to teaching children the non-physical attributes of a martial art. Such as: Focus, control, respect, perseverance and self-confidence.  Master HA leads a tough class but with a genuine caring for the students.  The parents become part of this as well as their children progress through the program.  I would recommend this school for anyone interested in the Martial Arts.

Our daughter has been attending Ha's Tae Kwon Do Academy in Algonquin for about six months now. Master Ha, the instructors and the staff are all wonderful with their students. The goals he sets for the students are high and the classes are strenuous but my daughter loves it, she is having fun while working hard. Anyone considering a Martial Arts Academy should consider Master Ha's.

Our son Ben attends. We were first introduced to this school by one of Ben's teachers, you see, Ben has Aspergers and we needed something to help him deal with his emotions. He would have massive outbursts at the littlest things and we just didn't know what to do anymore. We brought him for a trial class and we've been coming ever since. We have been here a year now and he just LOVES it. We love Master Ha and his way of teaching. He really cares about each and every one of his students, young and young at heart. The style of teaching encourages the kids to just try their best and let me tell you, Ben has come a LONG way in this past year. He is doing much better in school and in everyday life. We couldn't be more thankful to Master Ha and Ha's Taekwondo, for that. The Zaitz Family Lake in the Hills, IL

My son has been with Ha's TKD for 2 years. He finds it challenging and enjoys learning and progressing through the belt levels. He feels achievement after testing into a new belt level. There are many different levels of classes offered for various age groups and special needs. Class schedules offer good flexibility with our busy schedules.

I strongly recommend Ha’s TKD. To begin with, I have ADHD. Learning Ha’s Taekwondo Clinical Support based on exercise neuropsychology helped greatly with my ADHD. Through the training at Ha’s, I developed physically and mentally to cope with my ADHD. Overall, self-discipline, perseverance, and studying hard with the right values led me to be successful in academics, obtaining Pharm.D., Ph.D. from Purdue University. All exercises and martial arts are helpful for mental and physical fitness. However, I strongly recommend Ha’s, believing that it is a place that allows you to achieve your goals by providing customized guidance in consideration of your characteristics so that you can develop exactly what you need. Thank you once again to Master Ha Tae-eun and all the leaders for their guidance.

This is the third year my son has attended Ha's Taekwondo Academy. We love it! My son has developed so much since he started. His focus, motor skills and discipline improved dramatically just after six months of starting. Master Ha is wonderful with the kids and has a way of making each child feel special. I looked into many different martial arts schools locally and what I liked about this one is that it is traditional and that Master Ha's qualifications far surpassed any of the others.

We recently moved to the area and needed a new taekwondo place for our daughter. We wanted a taekwondo place that's not only fun for her but also teach her discipline and self control. In Has taekwondo my daughter did not only learn discipline and self control, her confidence also improved. Grandmaster Ha makes sure that each student improves in the areas they needed, and communicate to parents on how he can help their children. The instructors are very attentive, they are also supportive and understanding. I highly recommend Has taekwondo.

Ha's Tae Kwon Do is a great place for all ages. Master Ha does a great job with his school and has great instructors in place to help teach. I would highly recommend Ha's Tae Kwon Do to any family looking for an activity for their young one to help with their discipline and behavioral development. Ha's Tae Kwon Do has helped my kids grow into respectful young children with what they preach throughout their programs. I know that the coaching that they give in Ha's Tae Kwon Do has helped them.

We enrolled our son at Ha's 3 years ago and he has grown substantially in terms of self -discipline, emotional stability, and his fitness level is off the charts. Our son had struggled with controlling temper and mental focus. Ha's has been the best thing for him. We are proud of the young man he has become and has developed a strong self confidence knowing there are few challenges he cannot overcome. A year ago, I began taking the adult classes, and the fitness benefits of flexibility and core strength are great. I'm now training for the Chicago marathon along with the TKD training, and feel the benefits of Ha's Taekwondo in stamina and especially in the lack-of-tightness in my hips and legs. Ha's has been a great experience for our family.

I can say with confidence that I would not be where I am today without the training I received from Ha's Taekwondo. Through training, I was able to improve my self-confidence and transform my timid personality into leadership mentality. I have tried many types of sports (soccer, ice skating, gymnastics, tennis, swimming, etc.), and even different types of martial arts. None of them compared to the unique combination of elite sports and cognitive training from taekwondo. Under the guidance of Grandmaster Ha, I received the U.S. Presidential Volunteer Service Award in 2017, and won the Forms Grand Championship at the JangSong U.S. Open Taekwondo Competition in 2018. These results, compiled into letters of recommendation from Grandmaster Ha, essays, and resumes, resulted in my acceptance in several direct medical programs and my top choice school. Anyone can coach martial arts and sports teams, but rarely can the coach shape students into model individuals for higher education and success. Grandmaster Ha was a professor at the Korea Military Academy and a coach of a U.S. Collegiate Taekwondo team, and has been guiding successful individuals ever since. I thank Grandmaster Ha and the Instructors of Ha's Taekwondo for all of their support.

Ha's TKD has been very helpful especially with my 4 y/o daughter. It has been a positive experience, even only for a year now, I can see a lot of improvement. It is still a work in progress but their TCD and TCS programs helped her immensely with her emotional stability. Grand Master Ha and his instructors are very knowledgeable. Instructor Allen is very patient and very motivating. He connects really well with the students. If you are considering Taekwondo classes or additional emotional/behavioral support for your little one, I highly recommend this place.

Ha's is a great TKD school. The instructors are fantastic and the atmosphere is very inviting for kids. The instructors take the time to work with kids to make them feel comfortable, they start out by making the training fun for the kids which helps them feel less self conscious about starting something new. The training helps kids learn discipline and respect which is very important. Kids are encouraged to to do their best and succeed, and they are pushed mentally and physically which helps them with their self confidence. I wanted my daughter to be more self confident with her abilities and Ha's has definitely shown her that if she puts her mind to it and works hard she can succeed in anything.

When my family and I started at Ha's Taekwondo our son was 4 years old, and he is now a little over 5. Stepping into Ha's we had no idea what to expect, and in a sense it was just about our last option for our strong willed, highly energetic, and persistent son. With no intention in mind to deal with our sons hyperactivity with medications we turned to a place of discipline. Our results have been more than we could have expected, our family went from a chaotic home of no listening, and as a result constant arguing to a home of peace and respect within 9 months of attending. The dedication and care that Grand Master Ha has for his students is completely apparent to myself and my wife just by the way that our son responds to him.

Ha's Taekwondo has been our second home for the last 4 years. Our son started in the Tiny Lions Program when he was three years old as we wanted him to continue to develop strong discipline. TKD has been a great learning experience for our son and we cannot wait to enroll our little one next year as we strongly believe Ha's Taekwondo has been a great addition to the education of our son. Kids get to learn another culture while reinforcing their values and matters. I recommend Ha's Taekwondo as I have seen amazing results with my son.

I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is! My ASD son has been attending for almost 2 years now and is still loves it. The program has greatly improved his focus and attention as well as his stamina. Everyone is accepting and kind, and Instructor Alan brings out the best in EVERY student. Students learn skills and so much more: respect, acceptance, focus and confidence. Every kid should give Ha’s a try!

My son has been with Ha's Taekwondo for over 6 years. He has grown mentally, physically and emmotionally. The facility and instructors are excellent. The dojang is clean, bright, and decorated in a modern way. The instructors are truly unbelievable. They not only know the skills and have the ability to teach, but they each have unique bonds with each student. The care about every member and their families. They have developed brilliant, one of a kind lessons for students of all abilities. This is not just a Taekwondo school where you will learn technique, but you will improve all aspects of your life - mind, body and spirit. My son was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 6. Through Taekwondo and guidance from his instructors, he has learned how to control his focus and has learned multiple ways to utilize his talents while being able to control his ability to attend. These lessons have carried over into his every day life both at home and at school. Classes are a blend of physical activity, strength training, endurace and mental strength conditioning. There are classes for every level, as well as several specialty classes and groups. We are so grateful to be a part of the Ha's Taekwondo family and I encourage everyone to check this place out!

From the moment we first stepped into Ha's Taekwondo, we were impressed by the clean, spacious, and well-equipped facility. The staff ensures that the environment is safe and clean, which gives us peace of mind knowing that our children are in good hands. The flexible class schedule makes it convenient for busy families like ours to fit the lessons into our weekly routine, while still providing ample opportunity for our boys to progress at their own pace. The atmosphere at Ha's Taekwondo is welcoming, supportive, and family-oriented. The staff and fellow students have created a strong sense of community, making our family feel right at home from the very first day. I wholeheartedly recommend Ha's Taekwondo to any family looking to enrich their children's lives through martial arts training. It has been a transformative experience for our boys, and we couldn't be happier with our decision to join the Ha's Taekwondo family.

Not only have they gained essential taekwondo physical skills, but they have also developed tremendously in areas such as self-discipline, self-esteem, confidence, responsibility, and positive mindset. The instructors at Ha's Taekwondo are truly the best out there. They possess a deep understanding of the martial art and its underlying principles, which they convey in a way that is engaging and accessible for children. Their passion and dedication to their students' growth are evident in every class.

Ha's Tae Kwon Do Academy was recommended by my son's Kindergarten teacher upon her finding out that he has special needs. He has sensory processing disorder. Before entering Ha's, my son received occupational therapy privately for 3 years. About 6 months after entering Ha's TCPD/TCS program, he no longer needed occupational therapy!!!! Ha's has made a tremendous difference in his behavior as well as attitude! Grandmaster Ha is absolutely wonderful with all of the children. My son adores him and all of the Instructor's!!!! We are so happy to be a part of the Ha's Tae Kwon Do family!!!!!

My two boys have been taking TKD at Ha's for over 2 years. It has been a very positive experience. The TKD program not only teaches them TKD but also discipline, self control, & respect. The physical fitness benefits are great and translate to other sports they participate in. I did not expect the fitness benefits to be so significant. This is a great program for people of all ages. I highly recommend Master Ha and the rest of his staff. Great program.

My 5 year old son began in January 2013. He started in the TCS class once a week, and did a group class once a week. We started him in Tae Kwon Do to improve his focus, respect, listening skills, behavior and confidence. Nine months later, he no longer goes to the TCS class and does just 2 group classes now. Everything has improved greatly, and his teachers have noticed, too. We are so happy with how much he has grown.

I would highly recommend this studio for anyone who is looking to learn Taekwondo. It is a traditional Korean do jang where you learn much more than how to perform the skills of the martial art. Master Ha is a legitimate 8th degree Senior Grand Master who has tested through both the Kukkiwon and Kyung Hee University in South Korea. If you want to learn Taekwondo the "right way", the way that it is taught in Korea, then this is the Grand Master to learn from. He teaches Korean philosophy, behavior modification, muscular resistance, cardiovascular endurance, quality of life for adults, and athletic performance for those who wish to compete at any age. His students are all ages, from 3yrs old to adult (I won't give my age...LOL). I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this family, and look forward to many more classes and training sessions here!

I joined Ha's Taekwondo to learn more about the fighting style and to get physically fit. But after being going there for a little over a year, I have learned so much in the small amount of time. No longer is Taekwondo just a hobby that I do, it is now a lifestyle that I cannot live without. Ha's Taekwondo helped me in the way to always push myself a little more and always go beyond what you are capable of. At Ha's Taekwondo, you do not make friends, you make family, a family that encourages and helps each other to reach everyone's goal and become a better person. Ha's Taekwondo has definitely changed me for the better and I am proud to call Ha's Taekwondo Academy my home dojang.

It's been almost 5 months since my daughter(now three and half years old) is going to ha's taekwando classes. I have seen a lot of changes in her in a good way. Most importantly, she has become more focussed and attentive and this is helping her in other daily activities. She is always too excited to go to the class. I am very happy with my daughter's progress and would recommend this academy to my friends.

Our son joined Ha's TaeKwonDo in August 2015. He was 3.5 yrs old and not able to keep his attention for very long. He was having difficulty interacting with his peers and struggling with a bit of low confidence. But Master Ha and his team saw Gabriels potential and added him to their TCS class. This made such a significant difference for us. Eight months later he focuses far better than before, enjoys play dates and has incredible coordination and strength. We are so proud of him and thankful we found Master Ha's TaeKwonDo.

For the past two years,Ha’s Taekwondo has been a wonderful part of our lives. My son began classes with a goal of becoming more confident. My son absolutely loves coming here! Ha’s students receive lots of individual attention regardless of their abilities or belt level. Master Ha and his instructors are very knowledgeable , patient with all their students and very motivating. I hope anyone considering taekwondo classes in the area will give Ha’s a try since we've had such an overwhelmingly positive experience with them.

I am a student there, I can tell you this dojang will teach confidence, discipline, self respect, and how to protect yourself, No matter what age. The instructors try their best in helping you and tell you what you are doing wrong and help you improve. I highly recommend signing up if you are interested!👍🥋
