Friendly family staff. But what the owner offered me for my two US Mint OGP complete items was atrocious. I was able to sell them on eBay. Even after eBay fees I was able to make $70 more than the first item, and another $70 more than the second item. The first item he offered me $40 less what the Mint charged, and then offered same price I paid from the Mint for the 2nd item.

I came across Hertel’s Coin shop when I was selling silver coins and scrap gold. Since then I go to Hertel’s Coin shop for buying gold coins and silver bullion. I finally found a great, local coin dealer to work with. I went to another place that called themselves a coin dealer but they didn't know much about coins which was disappointing. I stopped in Friday to sell a coin collection I unexpectedly inherited. The coin shop was busy but the owners were welcoming. I took a seat and waited about 10 minutes tops. Shaun talked to me about the collector coins I had and went over the silver and gold coins with me as well and I was comfortable with the info given. They use what is an x-ray technology of sort so while I thought some of the unmarked jewelry was costume, several pieces turned out to be 14 karat gold. I learned that the husband and wife owners of the shop are local and it was a plus to do business locally. I plan to refer business their way as friends or family need a reliable coin shop in the future. I sold the complete collection to Hertel’s Coins and I extremely please with the service provided.

I was stuck with a 2 karat diamond ring after a failed engagement (totally his fault! lol) After visiting a couple local jewelers in the area a friend of mine recommended Hertel’s Coins.
