I was not disappointed with my trip to Lakeland mall. As of the writing of this review this mall is bustling with activity, despite what my picture here shows. When I first came in and took said photo it seemed kinda dead. As I ventured further into the mall the signs of life started to show. There is a nice mix of local shops and chain stores. It still has a dillards and JCPennys. The resale store is really good if not a bit on the pricey side but they had a huge inventory and it felt clean and not picked over. A similar vibe to an Ollie’s mixed with a good clean goodwill. A nice change for a shopping mall. The food court was popping with activity. Lots of teens hanging out and some families. Every restaurant in the food court is occupied with plenty of selection. It even has a ChikFilA. I definitely will be coming back to this mall and it’s a positive sign to see when it’s too hot to shop outside but malls are dying off. This mall is definitely going to be sticking around for a while. And that’s a good thing.

Very nice mall. A few vacant spaces but there are a lot of stores. Easy to get around in. Nice big food court. Lots of parking. Great way to spend an afternoon.

There are plenty of handicapped parking spaces. The mall is kept fairly clean. The bathrooms are also in pretty decent shape for a mall. There is always something to do here. The location is right next to the highway. This sometimes makes it a bit difficult to get into or out of the mall. Thank you for the experience!

Unfortunately it's a dying mall, like most. I'm sure it used to be great a decade ago. They need better stores and some updates.

Mall looks quiet considering covid I guess. Bath and body is great and employees are very friendly. Mall looks clean, bathrooms could use a little work. Mall still has good selection of stores. Good selection at food court.

There's a lot of garbage on the floors, and the bathrooms need cleaning. Meanwhile, I always see the cleaning crew on their cellphone or standing around talking to each other. I don't know how mall management handles cell phone use in the workplace, but most companies don't allow it. It's a nice mall, and indoor malls seem to be coming a way of the past. I hate to see this one close. Those cell phone users would then be out of a job.

I was there for the Bath and Body Works. I do not have a significant other, so gift cards are the ticket. The ladies change what they like with the season, so I leave the selection to them. And who doesn't mind a reason to go to the mall? Stay beautiful and smelling sweet ladies

Not what it used to be. Felt like a building being abandoned. Lacks internal energy. Nothing really appealing. I would have connected the cinema and mall with a connecting (mall) entrance. Lack of a better way to describe it would be a grave yard of merchants. I do hope things improve. People are great.

It's a dying mall, unfortunately... but there are still a few good stores left. JcPennys, Bath & Body Works, Victoria Secret, multiple shoe stores, etc. Also, Burlington is no longer there. They're across the road now.

A variety of different chill spots such as the food courts, massage chairs, quarter rides for the kids, play area and a coin wishing pond. Shopping, walking around or just hanging out to eat great ice cream and food, it's a nice environment. I'd suggest wearing a mask as the crowds can sometimes be a little crowded

Still a good mall and not too crowded. There are a lot of pop up shops for Christmas. Great places to grab lunch and walk. A new store opened at the old Macy’s location. Re-Sale America.

Tons of stores, everything you could ask for. Great food court. Most of the mall is full so many different stores to choose from. It was busy in the day we went. So lots of groups of kids walking around.

This mall is decent as far as stores go. However I am disappointed that their cleanliness has gone down hill. The kids area today was super disgusting. I'm sure they haven't vacuumed or cleaned it in weeks and for sure no deep cleaning in months. Yet they have a sign outside of the play area requiring masks. What a joke. The bathrooms were really nasty too... toilet paper everywhere. Dirty floors. And once again with signs about masks.... no one see the lack of logic here?

Lakeland Square is a great place to shop. It's an all - in - one type of shopping. You get all kinds of variety under one roof. A really good walking area when it's raining too. Walk-stop for a coffee, walk-stop to shop, walk-stop to talk with friends....what more could you want?

Nice selection of stores. Everything closes early, if you want to go there after work be ready to rush or watch the stores close. I witnessed a pickpocket at Zales, so where's the security? Be mindful of your stuff if you go here.

I went to the escape room at the mall. It was OK compared to the previous escape room in Orlando. They didn't offer flashlights. The flashlights were hidden in the room but not a part of the escape. The guy that showed us how we could have won was kind, patient and attentive.

The retail experience is fine, definitely recommend this establishment. The food court has a variety of options. From years past and now many memories have been made. Shout out to the ice cream kiosk in front of the vape shop.

I wish they would demo this entire Mall. Now that Lakeland is growing its time to bring back all the stores that were never here including the stores that were here. I have the perfect mall design. I'm thinking an oval shape with an hollow middle full of greenery -fountains and outdoor venues and restrooms including lawn seats and picnic tables....ect and mascots walking around entertaining the children.

Really the only thing going for this place it has good stores and a good food court and plenty of parking but every thing sucks about this mall . It needs a revamp everywhere. The paint is chipping , thee grass growing in the parking lot , the bathrooms 🚽 have no ac and it’s hot as hell IN there 🥵. Also the security sucks in there as well . So I don’t know if I can recommend this place because I am 50/50 on it Check it out for your self FOLLOW ME ON TIKTOK AT FEARSMAN26 😎🧡😎🧡😎

Mall was great! But it can be over crowded by teenagers just running around, and fighting and acting out. Otherwise the food court and shopping experience was wonderful.

Southern Traditions needs a new employee, the current lady they have literally runs customers out. We went in to buy a hat , they had no mirrors so we took a picture and there she comes asking us if we’re going to buy it all aggressively. We walked out. No need for that.

My son and I took a walk through this mall when I visited him at college on a Saturday. They had pretty good vehicle traffic in front and at first I had trouble figuring out where all the people were. I think they were in the three remaining anchor stores (Dillard's, JCPenney and Burlington) and the food court. To tell the truth, we did arrive pretty soon after opening, and the foot traffic picked up some while we were there. The mall has obviously suffered from losing two anchors, one of which was probably Sears. The mall structure and decor are well maintained but dated. One of the anchors now has what amounts to a flea market inside (Re-Sale America), where we did see some interesting things including furniture that we had no way to transport. It was unclear as to how many proprietors were using that space; we saw a sign declaring "we'll buy anything". There are still nationally recognized store brands in addition to the anchors and movie theaters, along with regional and local stores.

Nice place, lots of different shops to choose from. Also very clean.

  • 5/5 Deborah W. 1 year ago on Google
It's a small mall but it has pretty much everything you need. The big department stores are Dillard's and JCPenney's. There's a Victoria's Secret, Hot Topic, Bath & Body Works, Kay's Jewelers and a couple other cute little shops. They took out the Burlington store. But it's a cute little Mall nice and air conditioned. The bus stops there the blue line and the Gold Line. Also the restrooms are very clean. Oh and there is a theater there as well and a food court for all you Foodies out there. And if anyone's looking for a job these places are always hiring.

Mall is outdated and parking is impossible. They do have a good store selection as well as a decent food court selection. I do enjoy shopping here even though the atmosphere is a little lack luster.

The point of practicing social distancing is to be a part from other people. But when the mall security comes over from her boss telling her to tell a family sitting together that they have to separate due to social distancing, I think they do not have a clue about how social distancing works. Please mall security boss, educate yourself before sending your employees out to make them look dumb. Remember this all falls back on you at a days end.

My recent visit to the Lakeland Square Mall left me feeling disappointed and underwhelmed. The mall is in dire need of repairs and renovations, as it is visibly run-down and lacking in both amenities and modern conveniences. The mall's infrastructure was clearly in poor condition, with peeling paint, worn-out carpets, and outdated fixtures. The escalators were slow and rickety, making it an uncomfortable ride, and some of the lighting fixtures were either burnt out or flickering. Many of the stores inside the mall had closed down, and those that remained had a limited selection of products, and the overall atmosphere felt drab and uninspiring. Additionally, there were very few dining options, with the majority of the food court either closed or looking unappealing. The lack of cleanliness was also concerning, with trash and debris littered throughout the mall. It seemed as though there was little to no effort to maintain the cleanliness of the mall, which left a bad impression. Overall, my experience at the Lakeland Square Mall was disappointing. The mall is in desperate need of repairs and renovations to improve the overall shopping experience. It is not a place I would recommend to anyone looking for a modern and well-maintained shopping center.

First time at this mall and I really enjoyed it. Stores were pretty good, Jamaican spot in the food court was on point, and the cupcake spot is a must try. There were many empty store fronts but on the flip side, it made for a nice, calm shopping experience.

This place has gotten a lot quieter over the past few years with not as many shops as there used to be but it's still a very good mall to shop at. It's not very crowded during the weekdays but can be very crowded on the weekends. Food there is great and they also have urban air there along with a movie theater but those have separate doors that you have to go through. They aren't accessible from inside the mall. There's also a small play place for kids and a good variety of food to choose from. They also have a hair salon and a princess spa for little girls.

We need a real mall. Something like the shops at Wiregrass in Wesley chapel would be nice. Maybe the owners could drive out there and see how it’s laid out. Very Family friendly mall & even seasonal activities to keep the community active & shopping! Also build up with stores & a parking garage in the back to alleviate the traffic jams during the busy times.

This is a good place to go for pretty much everything and anything. They have a huge variety of things. Prices seem to be fair, employees are nice and helpful.

This a good , clean and safe mall, the food court is good and good food from reputable vendors, is just sad that covid and the online competition has cause so many stores to close down for good and this mall is not the exception, but still it has many good stores. Parking is also good with plenty of spaces. The mall is very well locate in the north side of Lakeland like a mile from I4. Other restaurants, Hotels, Bowling and big name stores are around and close to it, Nice brand new Cinemark movie and an urban air trampoline park for the Kids.

The mall has signs at the entrance that say masks are required to enter, but a security guard told me today that she was told not to enforce this requirement. I told the security guard about two people not wearing masks, and she said that she would talk to them. I followed her and she did no such thing. Wow. She lied to me to my face and in doing so provided the perfect opportunity for Covid to spread. DO NOT SHOP HERE. IT IS NOT SAFE.
