Came here to wash the taste of $tarbucks out of my mouth… just look at what they handed to me in the paper cup at SB vs what was brought to my table at Hillcrest - for less! Which would you choose? Killer lattes, flat whites, cappuccinos, quiches, sweet treats, and atmosphere! Great Lakeland feel… nice indoor and outdoor seating, with a vibe that says - stay a while and hang out with friends, study, or play a board game. I’ll definitely be back.

Great coffee, great atmosphere, and a local business. The prices are very reasonable, on par or maybe even cheaper than Starbucks. There's plenty of tables and a variety of board games to pick from while you enjoy your brew. I had the bagel with cream cheese and it was delicious. My bud had the quiche and he enjoyed it a lot as well. Supporting your local businesses is always a plus too!

I had an amazing cappuccino, though I was a little disappointed since they forgot the caramel. But that wasn't a big deal. It's better than starbucks, cheaper too! The atmosphere was calm, like being in an old bookstore. The barista was kind, knowledgeable, and very helpful in deciding what to get. I will definitely be going back! Thank you to the workers there! You're amazing!

First time visiting, and this is a great spot. They had live music on a Friday afternoon and quite the crowd. It was a pleasant surprise. I had a cold tea and blueberry muffinand both were delicious. Will definitely make this a regular spot.

Great coffee place. Located in a neighborhood in an old 1920 beautiful house. Nice places to sit inside and outside.

I devoured this snack, best iced coffee I have had in a while. I try all the local coffee places where ever I am and this is def top 3. The aesthetic here is great and comfy and the service is top notch.

When you want a nice coffee to sit back and relax. The bagels are amazing especially the asiago cheese bagel. They have board games, live music or bring your computer for work.

From the minute you walk in you definitely get comfy coffee shop vibes! Amazing place to sit and read a book, relax, or simply study for an upcoming exam. I ordered a cherry scone and it was absolutely delicious. You can taste the fresh ingredients, the cherries were Sweet but tart. It really made the pastry come together. The coffee was also exceptionally delicious.

Love this place. This was one of my go-to’s as a college student. Brian, the owner, is super kind and personable. Everyone who works here is great. The coffee and tea are good and at reasonable prices too. There’s also board games, outdoor seating, and live music on Tuesdays indoors (I believe from 6-8 unless it’s changed.) It gets packed sometimes! Super cute place, highly recommend.

This is an excellent place to have a business meeting or to relax with friends and enjoy very good coffee. The staff is friendly and knows what they are doing when it comes to making a great cup of coffee. You can avoid the Dixieland nightmare of South Florida by using New York avenue.

Absolutely a true gem of a coffee shop, my cinnamon iced latte was absolutely delicious. I also ordered a piece of their quiche and it wasn't dry and was super flavorful. I will be back again for the great coffee, food, and service!

My family has vacationed in a number of States and we always frequent the local coffee shops, and we are all in agreement, Hillcrest is the best all around Hometown coffee shop. The coffee is amazing, the food is top notch, and the atmosphere is very quaint. I had the Leek quiche and by far it was the best quiche I've ever eaten. We high recommend Hillcrest.

The owner and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They can make you just about whatever kind of coffee beverage you want as long as they have the supply. Becoming a regular is easily accomplished here due to the cozy atmosphere. The downside of this coffee shop is parking and that they don't open super early in the morning but if you have a break in your day or an unconventional work schedule this place is a great place to hang out and kill time.

Arrived at one of my favorite coffee places not only in Lakeland but in Florida. You can park in the small parking lot by the side of the cute yellow house where the coffee and tea are sold or on the streets that surround it. There are sitting spaces inside and out. It was a bit in the freezing side when we got there this am, so if you are sitting inside bring a sweater, it is refreshing when it is 90 out but tend to get a bit chilly after a few minutes. The pricing is so reasonable, feels more like the 2000’s than 2022. $3.65 for a latte.,at a place down the street they charge $5.50-$6.25! Crazy! So much better here AND the folks that work here… so polite! I thought I would get into one of those cartoon arguments with a barista of who was going to go first in a hallway! He was much too polite with his hands full, lol!!!! My honey cinnamon latte, delish!!!!!!!!! My hubby got coffee. All coffees are made from beans from a local company called Ethos, Buddy Brew and Patriot. $1.10 an ounce. Have had them all…gets your heart racing, in a good way😘

This place was such a jewel to find. The small town charm, the friendly and courteous folks, the Coffee and pastries. There you go, three things that every coffee shop should have, and the have balanced all of them. Will definitely return soon!

This is the best Cappuccino I’ve tasted anywhere even better then cappuccinos I’ve tasted in Paris. These guys really know how to make amazing cappuccinos with coconut, almond or oat milk.
