How unprofessional is this ? I call the hotel and the front desk lady puts me on hold for 15 minutes I screen recorded the call. When I pulled up to the hotel she was talking about food with a customer. I guess foods more important than your job. I didn’t even want to talk to her I wanted to call my room. Id had to say the foul language and disgusting looks she gave me was just disturbing. I’d describe her as light skin glass and wears light colored long wigs. Oh and I have a picture of her just chilling. While the phone is next to her on hold with me.

My husband and I travel quite a bit for softball - we decided to stay at this hotel/motel from Feb 1-5 2024, we arrive late which was approved to do - next morning, I see a roach crawling on the wall - my husband kills it but when he pulled out the fridge there were multiple roaches!! there were also a couple in the closet. We go down immediately to the front desk - first we had to wait until she returned - she was a little upset that we rushed her from where she was - the restroom. She does not apologize for these sightings, just changed our room - we think everything is good - next morning, I'm in the restroom - here yet again, another roach coming from the back wall in the restroom and runs past me so I panic again and my husband kills it. I DO NOT like roaches and don't care to see them - the original room was dirty - that is why the roaches are so bad - maybe schedule the pest control company out more frequently - I work at a hospital so I know you will get pests BUT the customer does not see them if there is frequent service. This was the FIRST time in all of the hotels I have stayed in that I saw roaches - YES, I have been to Florida many times - to Hawaii and never have I seen them in my room - so I get home - call the Manager of this hotel (Jessica Medina) she asked for more information - which I gave right away - I had a case# and all - nothing was done !!! NOTHING at all. She promised me that she would contact me on email within hours but all I see is welcome to our REWARDS program - I will NOT and don't plan on ever staying at any of your brand hotels !!!! Do you know that we STILL have our luggage in quarantine - which is our garage, that is not attached to our house! I am so nervous that we brought home eggs from these roaches - So here I go one unhappy, UNSATISFIED customer can tell many !! I gave them a chance to make it better and I get crickets- so here we go World - do NOT go to this hotel/ motel whatever it is! Oh one more thing to mention - I thought that COVID protocol was over by now - We never received housekeeping - one of our towels was dirty - possibly could have been the rack that was dirty from no cleaning!! You have to make sure the room is clean if you have fridge, microwaves and carpet in the rooms - will attract all kinds of things - bad bad bad

Especially for one night, this is a nice location to stay. The rooms were clean and modern. By each bed are charging ports. Excellent cleaning service when you need.

Other than the carpets needing a good deep cleaning, paint touched up and a little updating our experience here has been a positive one. We had a reservation at another hotel when they decided to cancel our reservation when they couldn't get in touch with me (ummm I was traveling). We had to scramble to try and find a new hotel, preferably with a suite. The guy at the front desk was wonderful...gave me the discounts he could to bring the price down as we are going to be here a week. Our room is huge...there's a living room area and a separate bedroom. The hotel is definitely older and needs updating but it smelled clean, no mold, the bed is extremely comfortable and they give you lots of pillows! The breakfast is an extended continental with a waffle maker...it was well stocked and everything was fresh. There is an IHOP right in front that had excellent service and decent food. It's right by I4 so it's conveniently located but the road noise is minimal inside. If you're looking for high end, this is not the place for you. If your looking for a decent place to stay with nice staff, check this place out. They were a big help when we needed it.

The La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Meridian was an excellent pick for a stay, and the friendly staff made everything run well. The hotel food was also excellent, including a fantastic breakfast selection. We couldn't have wished for a more ideal location for our vacation. Thank you for making our weekend trip so memorable.

I am a single female traveling alone for this trip and after a very long 6 hour drive I was absolutely shocked appalled at the condition of this hotel. I was also frightened by my surroundings. This hotel is no better than a flop house. The carpets are all very filthy and stained. It appears that the carpets have not been cleaned or even vacuumed in a very long time. I tried two different rooms and the results were exactly the same. The bath tub grout in both bathrooms was covered with black mold. I am very allergic to mold and could not stay in that hotel. So there I was six hours from home late at night with nowhere to stay. Yes!!! By then I was in tears from exhaustion and frustration with no where to lay my head for the evening. Now add insult to injury I am told that I have to monitor my account for the release of the funds they have placed on hold with my credit card. It is unbelievable that Wyndham would allow its brand to be identified with such a place and now make me do all of the work to rectify this assault on what was to be a pleasant business/personal trip for me.

Hotel is old, but room was clean, bed was comfortable. We were able to get a good night's sleep before heading back to Colorado. We will stay again next trip to Florida.

I stayed here before, a year ago and they were under renovations. I had a room on the first floor which was decent for a quick weekend trip. I stayed here this past weekend and it was the complete opposite of my stay last year. Firstly, after checking into the hotel, my room key didn't work. I went to the front desk and they reset it, only for me to go back upstairs and find out it still was not working. They finally decided to upgrade me to a different room,, which is the room you see in the photos. I was completely grossed out by their definition of a clean room. The room was also quite damp and humid, extremely gross. The front desk staff were very friendly; however, I will not be returning. The walls could use painting, the carpet needs to be taken up completely, they need all new furniture and a housekeeping staff that knows how to clean thoroughly. Also, some sketchey people living there. I do not recommend even if its just a quick place to lay your head.

Stay away, this hotel needs to shut down and have a complete overhaul. The location is good. The rooms have an odor and it's worse in the hallways. Condition of room is even worse. Sofa-bed mattress was ripped and springs poking through. Replaced that with a rollaway that was almost as bad. The blanket has cigarette burns in it. I could go on and on but feel i got ripped off for paying for that stay.

Wow, there are so many compliments. It's lovely at your hotel. You immediately feel at home as soon as you enter the building. The balcony of the room has beautiful views.

The issue persisted even after lengthy discussions about the baked dogs with the front desk. My request to move rooms was quickly accommodated. The manager and staff were excellent and helped us even at odd hours.

Quick trip for our family, we have 2 kids and checked in around 9pm. We needed the cheapest hotel room and this was the best price. As we pulled up to the back door entrance there was an obvious drug deal going on so we had to wait in the car till the 2 gentleman walked away. Back door was open, didn’t need a key, pretty unsafe. We didn’t even want the kids to push the elevator button from how dirty looking it was. You can tell it’s an old hotel and it’s there not for the experience but for a quick stay. Bathroom toilet had pee around the floor, felt like a public bathroom. Big stains on the rugs and a muggy feeling to the a/c. The double beds barely fit 2 people on it but we laid our kids down sideways and that worked. I gave it 2 stars because we had beds to sleep on, a fridge to store water and clean towels and I’m grateful for that. But it’s not the cleanest and maybe not the safest.

You get what you pay for. Older rooms, but perfect for my need. Veteran discount available. Excellent service. No issues with location or other guests. Will definitely stay again when in the area. Check out the Antique Mall across the street!

Room was dirty. Not only could you see the dirty spots on the table tops but when I ran my hand across it was covered in dust and stickiness. You could tell the carpet hadn't been vacuumed due to visible pieces of trash. The night shift desk lady was very kind and came up and cleaned the room and said she was going to report the room's condition to the manager. We were told breakfast was served 6 til 9. Came down just before 8 to find hardly any food left and no coffee. They did make more coffee after I asked. Animals are allowed here. But, I was speaking with an elderly lady with a service dog and she told me they wouldn't allow her to bring her service dog into the dining area. There is a sign that says no animals allowed in dining area but, I thought service animals were exempt from such. I have stayed at many Laquinta By Wyndham before and have always left 5 star reviews but I can say I have been very disappointed in this stay.

Their rooms have fleas. I was in a room on the third floor and it had fleas in it. The front desk moved me down stairs there were fleas in that room. The elevator had pee in it, she said it’s not her problem to address she not housekeeping. Now I’m stuck with hives and the most uncomfortable itch ever. The sanitation is terrible. If you can avoid it AVOID IT. And if you can’t I rather you just reconsider your trip or stay.

The employees were friendly and willing to help. Great rooms. It is astonishing that all of the listed facilities are operational at so many hotels. In close proximity to the station. It is difficult to check in before midnight because the rooms are almost always occupied.

I cannot recommend this hotel. We just took a trip driving from Montana to Florida and back again. This was the only bad experience we had for a hotel on the entire trip. These are the reasons why you shouldn't stay here: 1) Very run down (meaning the carpets, the walls, the elevator, nearly everything) 2) Our room door wouldn't shut completely. We left nothing in the room when we weren't there and slept with a chair propped up against the door at night to close it completely. 3) The room had a horrible odor 4) We thought we heard a gunshot in the middle of the night and one in the early morning. Instead, the fridge wasn't working correctly and the two soda cans we had placed inside overnight had exploded. 5) We were there only one night and if we had seen it before we booked it, we wouldn't have been there at all. 4) From the moment we arrived we felt like the place was sketchy. We made sure to park our car under a light near the entrance. The next morning a mother was down at the desk asking for help. The desk clerk gave her the # to the police. Turns out her car was stolen over night. She was stranded six hours from home with two little girls. From the desk clerks comment to me, this is not the first time this happened. It sounded like a regular thing there. Everything around this place looked nice. I don't know what is happening to this one place but it needs an overhaul.

This is my go to spot when I want easy access to both coasts & Orlando. They are renovating & updating now, so it's in a bit of upheaval, but it's good upheaval. Thankfully Victoria and the folks at the desk have great customer skills. I checked in Thanksgiving day on a whim (turkey tired. drive tomorrow) Victoria went out of her way to get us in a settled, working the holiday. You know what they say, "business is about the relationships". The facilities will eventually get there. For now Victoria & the front desk is carrying the load.

First time I left a horrible review. Hotel carpet and walls everywhere sooooo dirty, the elevator the same. The side door won't work Had to change room keys 3 times and another guest has complain about them same, I was on second floor the hallway have an strong weed odor at night. Some front desk were rude.shower curtain rod was almost falling. ABSOLUTELY NOT A FAMILY ENVIRONMENT unless you like low life environment, we check out early in our stay there and book the rest at another hotel.

Stay away from this hotel! People wandering the parking lot at all hours of the night. Rooms are absolutely disgusting. Blood stains on the carpeting and blood droplets on bathroom door. Room smelled of mold and felt damp. After seeing the condition of the room we immediately left and found another hotel to stay in for the night. This entire hotel needs to be demolished.

I have stayed in over 200 hotels-I've never checked out--within an hour-- before. This place was filthy inside and out. The pics looks fine online but take a look at the carpet 2 rooms were like this thoroughly stained. Wallpaper stapled to walls, mildew, strewn trash. I felt sorry for the nice staff. Oh, now that I'm reading reviews I can see their apologies are just words.

Just like other people, we book the hotel to rest a few hours. The rooms were nothing like the pictures. Place was dirty, old, I saw a roach, the humidity smell in the rooms was so intense, I wasn’t able to sleep. I booked the rooms through Expedia and they were having issues with their card at the hotel, had to pay $140 for something that shouldn’t even cost $50. Needs paint, carpets removed, and overall look at were the smell comes from. Extremely disappointed. Stay away!

  • 3/5 Kimberley R. 7 months ago on Google
The rooms were okay. The carpets could really use a cleaning. I think it's under new management. The general manager isn't the friendliest person. She charged $50 for a pet deposit and before I could get back upstairs she had called the room again wanting another $50 for a clothes deposit??? Any clothes over 25lbs?? Have NEVER stayed anywhere that you're only allowed so many pounds of clothing. Seemed kinda crazy but we paid the extra $50 for having too many clothes also. I personally wouldn't rent another room here, but that's just my opinion.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!! One of the worse stays I’ve ever had at any la Quinta let alone a “hotel”. The have fleas. I have numerous bite marks from sleeping in those shameful beds. Don’t get me started on the manager Jessica. No service skills. Does not care about her guests one bit. Their staff go into rooms without any reason and steal stuff.

We stayed after we lost our roof to hurricane Ian. The hotel on the out side and hallways was not clean. But the room was good. Very spacious rooms and comfortable beds. We were able to bring our dogs so that was a plus. However, The front desk staff was not friendly.

Room conditions and area are not at all what the ads show for this place. Very deceptive. We reserved a room for 2 nights for my uncle's funeral. We checked in and checked out within an hour due to the conditions of this place. I've been in Crack houses that were in better condition. Also was not given a refund or even a partial refund. If I could rate this place a negative score I would. DO NOT STAY THERE!!! Thankfully the Hyatt Hotel in Lakeland was able to accommodate us quickly and the rooms there were amazing.

I am currently having the pleasure of staying at a wonderful hotel that llI can see will leave me with nothing but a positive impression. I know for a fact Management has this under control compared to most places. From the moment Ime and my family arrived for our lego land trip, the hotel staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was going to be enjoyable. The room I am staying in is very comfortable and well-appointed. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and provided all the necessary amenities. The bed is veryy comfortable than most hotels, So I'm 100% Sure the night will end greatly. And the bathroom was spotles. The hotel's location was also convenient, Considering it is in close proximity to popular attractions as well as our legoland destination. It made it easy for me and my Family to explore the city without any hassle. The hotel's services were exemplary. The staff went above and beyond to meet my needs and were ready to assisr us.Their professionalism and attentiveness are truly enhancing our stay. Furthermore, the hotel's facilities were impressive. I particularly enjoyed the fitness center, which was well-equipped and allowed me to maintain my exercise routine even while traveling. The on-site restaurant bar/buffet Does deserve to have more of a selection of food for breakfast Considering the grrat customer Service and communication. Overall, my experience so far being at this hotel was exceptional. The combination of comfortable accommodations, friendly service, and convenient location will definitely make our legoland trip enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and hassle-free experience. P.s If they had a Hot tub This would have made the stay more than perfect

We rented a room here for 3 nights. The room was nice. The bed was comfortable. I just have a couple of complaints. Sketchy people were hanging out in the parking lot smoking, and drinking what looked like beer out of brown paper bags. No matter the time people were hanging out in the parking lot by our car. I wouldn't have been comfortable staying there if I had been alone. The fitness room was closed for remodeling and the spa that's shown on the website has been filled with concrete. Also, the door cards didn't work half the time. We were told new door locks have been ordered.

🤢 needs updating & man, wash them walls, doors, etc. My daughter & i were scared to contract something from this place! Sheets were clean, a/c worked good in our room, & bed was comfortable, i think, was so exhausted getting in late after a 14 hr drive, lol, so that’s a plus, curtains had some white stuff splattered on them🥴scared to even think of what that was! All & all clean sheets, friendly stay didn’t see no roaches running when turned lights on upon entry of room but gross rooms as far as looking at walls and doors🤷🏻‍♀️we made it through the night 🤣

This place was the worst! I ended up checking out a day early and lost the money for the day because it was that bad!! My room was never cleaned and the ONE day The housekeeping lady came knocking at my door the housekeeping lady rolled her eyes at me when I nicely asked her to come back in a few minutes as my son was taking a shower. The elevator stopped working. The website of Expedia says there is a hot tub but they actually have it cemented. At nights there are men hanging out in the parking lot drinking and smoking playing loud music at all hours of the night. My tv was broken, handle on the bathroom door was broken. I mean the place was a mess! I honestly felt unsafe. You were lucky to even catch someone in the front desk. The lady was gone and the front was left empty with people hanging out and making noice in the front. Cops showing up every other day looking to see the cameras and the lady is telling the police officer to come back so who knows what happened there the whole place was cringy something is definitely going on. The owners of “La Quinta” should definitely look into this place and fire everyone. The place has potential but it is not even close right now very disappointed.

Wish I could give them negative stars. The room I was in ac didn't work. Went to customer service and they couldn't accommodate our needs. Purchased a fan to make it comfortable for my husband which is on a special machine. The manager was rude and defensive when I contacted her about the situation. I will be contacting corporate. This hotel needs to be condemned its supposedly under construction but when we stayed last year it was much better. I hate I referred our Football league to this rat hotel. Worst stay every. I would recommend this place to a roach. Book at your own risk.

  • 5/5 Terry B. 1 year ago on Google
Nice property but needs updating. AC needs worked on room 409, carpet should update, not a bad place just needs some tweaking. It's still under renovation, strong scent of chlorine upon entering. Main entrance door needs work, doesn't open all the way and both sets of doors close too fast. Maybe the maintenance man could tweak them. Sink in bathroom is very, very slow to empty, needs work.

This was not my first time at this location but will definitely be my last. The place is dirty inside and out. Our room smelled like mold and mildew Bathroom was clean however towels were dirty and there was only one bath towel for a room with double beds. Good thing it was just my spouse and I since the bathroom doors didn’t close. There was trash behind the night stand for who knows how long based on the dust. The pool was still locked at 5pm on a Friday.. there we no towels but dirty diapers in it’s place. Trash in pool. Place was to dirty so we didn’t even think about trying breakfast. One elevator in the back of hotel that was working , and stair wells smelled like urine. Beds are awful, felt every spring when we moved. The air blew air… push down as far as it will go just to stay cool.. Worst place to stay. Save your money! Definitely not your typical Wyndham run place. They should definitely not be associated with the facility.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! If I could give it zero stars I would. The photos will catfish you. When we arrived late at night after an 11 hour drive I noticed the mold on the walls while parking and the area feels unsafe. There are men just hanging around the hotel. There is a mountain of old carpet on the sidewalk. They did not tell us when booking but this hotel is undergoing MAJOR renovation on every floor and you have to walk through it. The elevator had visible stains and the hallway has no air conditioning and smells of mold. The room looks like it has not been updated since the 90's. The AC unit was super loud. The room smells like mold. The carpet in the room is horrendous and very stained. Even though it was very late and we were tired from our long drive. We tried and failed to find another hotel that night ( every hotel was booked with people evacuating from a hurricane ). We had booked with them for three nights but we left ASAP that next morning. I will never go back. Do not book this sorry excuse of a hotel. This hotel is as bad as a motel from hell.

We checked in here before reading the reviews. Turns out the reviews are spot on. It seems from reading this hotel has been under renovations for months! Our first room the lights did not work, they moved us to another room. The second room appeared to be ok, the cleanliness was moderate at best, what really through us was the shower had problems, would only spray COLD water no matter what we did. The next problem we had was the security lock on the door engaged when we stepped out of the room for ice. Had to get staff to help us get back in. So while the room left a lot to be desired, the staff was always kind and very helpful as much as they could be! Great team i just hope the owners put miney into this place sooner rather then later

  • 1/5 Not Dylan O. 1 year ago on Google
Room was relatively clean. The Bed is like a bale of hay with a sheet over it and the sheets were stained. The bathroom was clean but the shower was moldy. The AC barely works. I was staying here for work and working overnight, the first day while I was sleeping maintenance beat on my door to wake me up and tell me they have to vacuum out my AC unit. They were doing the whole hotel but never said anything to me about it. The second day I put a sign on the door that had my late check out time and do not disturb on it. Housekeeping still woke me up knocking on the door. Even with a SIGN on the door.

This hotel is inhabitable! Do not stay here for your health and especially if you have kids. I’m an insurance property adjuster and this business is 1 mold test away from having a potential lawsuit if any customers experience any sickness after staying here. I came out here for work and booked 1 night at this hotel. The carpet is removed on the first floor hallway in the process of being replaced. There are ceiling stains on the 3rd & 4th floors showing signs of potential mold as well as stains on the carpet below indicating water leaking onto flooring and the padding beneath was likely wet. My first room smelled like mold and mildew on the 4th floor. The second room I was offered on the 3rd floor had multiple stains on ceiling and floor with signs of mold as well tad water stains on carpet in hallway. The platform wont even allow me to add the 10 photos I have showing signs of water leaks to ceiling and flooring in different areas of the rooms and public spaces

I want to thank Ms. Jessica and her awesome staff for their consistent customer service, housekeeping, great customer interactions that many other hotel chains lack. My experience has never been subpar. Great location for shopping, entertainment, dining and local events between Orlando and Tampa. The staff is always at your service. I will continue to enjoy my regular traveling stays and doing business with these great people. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and see for yourself what top tier comfort and relaxing stays should be when you travel.
