Props to just how big and clean the gym itself is, there are enough treadmills to train a sprinting battalion. My biggest complain is that there is barely any free weight machines. The two most important types of equipment in a gym, both the bench press and the squat rack, are completely missing. What kind of gym does that? I am taking two stars off my rating just for that.

The night worker is very rude and not professional in any way. Young man with a black card membership came to use showers and was cussed out and threathened by the gentleman because he had slides.but his shoes in his bag going to showers. Normally good reviews but with employees like that you cant help it..He has no greet and is very sneaky where he canceled my membership after i asked him to calm down.. he has worst attitude and a uninviting face.. second pf in lakeland that has rules outside any pf i visited... No communication very low vibrational..

My husband has an account. He used my bank info by mistake and when we tried to resolve this, the manager Steven was rude and unprofessional. He continuously interrupted and talked over me and even went as far as hanging up on me. When I called back he laughed at me and told me to call the cops and file fraud against my husband for a simple misunderstanding. This gym has the worst customer service ever. I wish I could submit a claim to the BBB regarding the terrible customer service and continued lies regarding the billing however they are not BBB accredited.

My wife called up there and spoke with a manager names Steven. She needed to get her card refunded and cancel our membership. He talked over her called her names and hung up on her. I would say worst customer service ever. However, I wouldn't even csll what he did customer service at all. He was extremely rude and if this is the type of people they promote. Then planet fitness is in trouble.

My first time in a planet fitness. Came as a guest.. Didn't know they didn't have free bar squat racks, all smith machines. Couldn't have my backpack with me, which had workout accessories I use.

Why on Saturdays are planet fitness closed at 7pm. If anything give us till 10pm health care workers don't get off in time. Bogus it's not a 24hr gym. This gym is very simular to all PF 100 treadmills fill up the entire gym but this one does have 2 fly machines and 2 Smith machines. Massage chairs are old and out dated compared to other PF. The do have 1 newer Hydro Massage chair that's pretty nice. Don't like the layout over all and is typically busier then most PF

Should keep it cleaner not bad but room for improvement. Furniture on equipment sometimes worn and torn. Not a bad place just room for improvement.

I feel like the workers just need to get to know the people that go there and actually try to help people. It's like they sit around to talk and be on their phones. You only see some of the workers helping people, but others are only phones or far in what are the customers

If you want a nightmare for billing…. The people themselves were mostly nice and good facilities, But good luck trying to cancel, I went into multiple planet fitness called multiple times was asked to send emails and nothing. Now Steven Cortez the GM at Lakeland south said even though I dont live in the USA anymore I need to come in or mail a letter. (Good luck mailing from Latin America). DO NOT SIGN UP WITH PLANET FITNESS. They keep charging your card months later

This place is always dirty, bathrooms are cleaned regularly n showers have stains. Water fountains n sinks have brown stains. Staff is very but not very attentive to cleanliness n filling up paper towels.

It’s an okay gym but really? The water tastes like pure s***. I’m sure even My dog wouldn’t even drink the water here. I am not sure if it’s a way to get you to go and buy a bottled water upfront but please! get some real water going at this gym!

I love the Planet Fitness I go to. The staff is very nice. It's clean and I feel safe there. I thought I heard they'd be getting all new updated machines. I can't wait to try those out. I'm not sure when that will happen, but for now, it doesn't matter, I just feel much better after working out.

Worker Caleb is very rude, called me and my guest stupid. Also confessed employees do not do their job correctly. Planet fitness is known for “judgement free zone & friendly environment”, Caleb does not meet those expectations with him calling names to members. As Caleb said, “someone hasn’t been doing their job correctly”, imagine the equipment that the employees should check thoroughly for the safety of the members. Lack of friendliness, safety issues due to employees not doing job correctly. Highly do not recommend this Planet Fitness unless you like getting called names or risking your safety.

The best fitness center..very nice staff..no other gym can beat what all they have to offer...I have the black card membership...well worth it!!.

Jhonathan at the front desk is one of the best things you’ve ever done. His friendly demeanor and kind voice make you feel right at home! He’s one of my most favorite things about Planet Fitness!!

The staff at Planet Fitness (South Lakeland) are extremely friendly and welcoming. I am always greeted with a smile and everyone is always willing to offer assistance. Going to a gym for the first time, especially when you are unfamiliar with how to use the equipment, can be intimidating but at this location, everyone works out at their own pace. Members are given the freedom to try new things until they find something that works, without judgement. I feel very comfortable with the staff and since joining a year ago, my family have also become members.

Consistently clean and well kept facilities. They work hard to provide a pleasant environment. Contactless check in and a crowd meter feature in their app. Jonathan and Chase greet you with a smile, know many members by their names, and treat you like family. Their skills are unique and appreciated.

First time here, traveling for work. Overall good experience they must just replaced all the machines everything on the floor was super new. Shower are could use some love , but if you don't shower there it would not be a big deal. Overall clean and a good morning workout.

Great fitness classes. Great trainer, Kent. The classes are educational and fun. The entire staff is wonderful, too. It's a gym for all ages and fitness levels.

I've had a membership for a few months now, but I have just started going ...walking on treadmill and biking (maybe 5 visits now).. I like this place!.. very comfortable to work out. Most important.. upon entering the facility, it does not smell like sweat. (Another gym I visited nearby smelled like man in heat!). I don't know how PF avoids it, but I appreciate it. I am happy I chose Planet Fitness.

This gym in the morning is not to bad, but in the 2nd shift the bathroom normally smell so bad and look at the water fountain, no body take care about it for long time and the water always is warm, this need attention, is the first planet fitness I see like this

Good gym, but the lack of free weight bench press and squat rack means this is no place for people who want to get serious about their workout.

Planet fitness is Great convenient hours 24 hours 5 days a week and 7to 7 on Saturday and Sunday very clean always disinfecting machines are always wiped down and very friendly and courteous staff prices are great

Everyone does seem to mind their own business, and they don't judge. At least if they are they don't make it obvious. Been going for few months and have been happy. Editing my review from above so we decided to full membership were you get to use hydro beds and massage chair and tanning.. well let's start with we recently visited planet fitness in North lakelnd which is way better then south Lakeland all updated equipment and tanning is better rooms are cleaner and hrdo beds are in a darker relaxing location .. In North lakeland I asked manager over a weekend half about new bulbs because several beds n stand ups had burnt out bulbs almost 2 weeks later still same burnt out bulbs and new burnt out bulbs also .so I am changing the star ranking to 3 sorry South Lakeland PF. I hope we can get some new bulbs and clean mirrors and fans cleaned maybe some better chair massage and some updated equipment .I will update my ranking when we see changes..disappointed

Planet Fitness Is Excellent, they are always glad to see people that pop in for a workout, all the workout machines are clean and well maintained. I recommend choosing Planet Fitness because the perks are amazing! Plus the Cost of Membership is very reasonable. Plenty of Parking at my home club in Lakeland FL.

I live on the North Side of Lakeland so I usually always use that Facility but since I have a friend who lives on the South Side and she has started joining me so we switch up some days. I have really enjoyed coming to the South side their Planet fitness is bigger and have more equipment. Staff very friendly

It's always really clean, never too busy. Changing rooms are always clean. For the price you really can't beat them.

Great workout! Plenty of room and assortment of machines and areas. The staff makes the real difference warm greeting even while engaged with other they notice you..

The Gym is big and have a lot of options to workout. Is no wait time for used the machines. They offer tanning and massage beds.The atmosphere is good and the employees are super professional and nice! I do the workout almost everyday and this gym have everyday that I need.

We like this Planet Fitness. Easy to find times to go when it's not too crowded.

Lake Wales is our home gym but they've been closed since storm. The Lakeland South is a great gym, clean , & wonderful staff.

I thought the staff was very helpful they answered all my questions I have a lot of problems with my back in they suggested everything I should use they let me experience their hydro massaging for like 15 minutes which was fantastic they also had another machine for massaging they let me use once I get my doctor's medical clearance I'm joining it as soon as possible

This is one the largest planet fitness i have ever been. Lot of equipments so availability of machines is good.

I would give 0 stars if I could. The staff are very unprofessional. This planet fitness is NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN OR GIRLS AT ALL. The patrons can record other gym goers without their permission, and record women as well. The staff is dismissive when concerns were brought up about recording people without their consent. The staff being very young boys who were unprofessional and immature. Strongly suggest WOMEN AND GIRLS AVOID THIS PLANET FITNESS AT ALL COSTS.

This is the largest Planet Fitness I have ever seen! My home club is in a different county, but I went to this location a few Saturdays ago because I had to go to some other places in Lakeland. This facility is huge! and clean! The staff was very friendly. I love this place!

they always have the ppl vacuum in the middle of the afternoon and it’s loud and obnoxious when we r all trying to work out. it’s something that should be done while closing not in the middle of the day near all the weights that are being used. don’t understand why necessary
