Some
reviews
I've
read
of
the
TBR
are
quite
critical--
it's
dingy,
the
service
is
poor,
the
food
unremarkable.
But
those
reviews
were
clearly
written
by
people
who
were
looking
for
a
"nice"
restaurant
and
not
a
true
neighborhood
pub.
A
neighbourhood
pub
interior
design
SHOULD
be
outdated,
and
SHOULD
serve
standard
pub
fare.
Sure,
sometimes
service
can
be
slow--
but
the
folks
there
are
salt
of
the
earth
and
all
you
need
to
do
is
wave
a
hand,
AND,
if
you
paid
attention
when
the
server
told
you
their
name,
or
better
yet,
if
you
were
friendly
and
asked
their
name,
just
call
them
over
with
a
good-natured
smile.
"Wing
night"
is
actually
wing
nightS--
Tuesday,
Thursday,
Saturday
(tip--order
wings,
fries
and
onion
rings
'extra
crispy'),
and
Sunday
brunch
is
perfect
for...well...a
Sunday
morning
after
a
Saturday
night.
There
is
often
live
music,
with
a
lot
of
favorite
musicians
returning
again
and
again--
and
musicians
who
talk
to
the
audience
and
even
sit
and
catch
up
with
more
regular
patrons.
The
end
of
the
music
and
the
closing
of
the
pub
come
sooner
than
many
other
pubs/restaurants,
so
pace
your
libations
accordingly.
The
more
often
you
visit
the
TBR,
the
better
it
gets--
get
to
know
the
people,
because
THEY
are
the
TBR.
