I absolutely loved the mushroom Swamp! πŸ„ This time of year they are starting to dry up and go away but I still saw atleast three different kinds. Lots of trials and dog friendly 😁

We didn't find the bog.. it's apparently hidden as well as quaking. But it is a gorgeous chain of well maintained trails, leading through beautiful terrain. We saw several animals and lots of interesting plants as well as delicious wild berries.. will be returning

Wowser! This is the only remaining Tamarack Bog left within the City of Minneapolis. Just another reason to love Theodore Wirth Park!

Went in November of 2020 and it was pretty chilly but very gorgeous. A lot of the other trails were closed so I ended up finding this one and was very pleased. Very peaceful and quiet morning! Found this mole along the trail so I just pushed him over to the side so no one accidentally stepped or biked over him.

A fun and serene place to go for a nature walk! It's a short trip to walk around, but the colors and views are delightful. We observed a couple of red tail Hawks as well!

Such a quiet, contemplative little nook for a little hike or stroll. It is the last remaining Tamarack Bog in Minneapolis as the rest have been filled in and/or drained. Lots of interesting plants and fungi to see and birds swooping around. Stay on the path!

This place is a hidden treasure, with a very unique and diverse ecosystem. The pinkish green moss looks like it's from another planet. Leave the flip flops at home though. Depending on the time of year, trails get pretty soggy. Much of the boardwalk that runs throughout the bog is getting swallowed up by the vegitation, but it's still totally worth the trip. Oh, paid parking only here. I believe both cash and credit cards are accepted at the outdoor kiosk πŸ‘πŸ½

Lovely place, do NOT wear nice shoes if you're going to walk through the bog area. Lots of trails and wildlife to see!

Bogwalkbogwalkbogwalk. What's not to love about a bog? The trails were very well maintained without feeling overgroomed. There is tons of wildlife, from snakes to deer to bees. If it has rained the bog path might be a little underwater, but so is the rest of the bog so it's fitting.

If you park in the quaking bog parking lot, the signs easily direct you to the trail. It was very beautiful but be warned that the bog is reclaiming many of the sections of the plastic boardwalk, so I'd recommend waterproof hiking boots. Also if you're on a walk with your dog, this section is not great for them but there are plenty of other normal hiking trails in this zone of Theo Wirth.

Very short loop, there is a floating walkway but it has sunken into the bog in areas making wet feet likely if you are wearing tennis shoes. I'd recommend sandals or water proof boots. Love that there are so many different environments within Theodore Wirth.

Not just a park with nice hiking trails in the middle of the city. Go there at dusk, look to houses on the hill, especially the corner one, stand quietly, peel your eyes toward the big tall trees and you will be rewarded. There are some wild turkeys flying and jumping from one big tree to another!

Love the trails here! A sense of nature in the middle of the city. Use to run here as a teenager every once and a while and rediscovered them recently. Great way to stay in shape without the hitting the roads.

A beautiful tamarack bog, an important piece of preserved habitat. The lot Google Maps takes you to is paid parking but the beach nearby has free parking if needed (or if the paid lot is full), and it's a quick walk. Please stay on the trails to protect this wonderful place!

Fun floating bog walk trail. Whole park area needs major maintenance investment.

Very nice trail. Pretty short (half mile or less) but is a good brisk walk.

WOW, I am from Texas and in minesota for a week and decided to try this place out. Please do not come past 9 pm and don't go off the trail. This place is used as a hook up spot full of men. The city needs to look into this as I was followed and felt like I was going to be ambushed. I jumped the fence to some backyard and booked it. Please be safe!

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Had a great experience at this stadium watching Rammstein. Security was efficient and friendly. Had some fried cheese curds that were the best I have ever had. Prices for concessions suck though. The concert it's self sounded great. However the music playing before the show could barely be heard....
