First time I visited the Northrup King Building knew I wanted to rent space there. Vibrant art building with everything under the sun that is made creatively. Super awesome management, that has been a huge supporter of the local art community for many years. I recommend a visit here for any of their own studio events: first Thursdays, Northrup King Nights, Art Attack , and Art-A-Whirl. Easy location to find with tons of free parking.

Really interesting old building and in my opinion kind of a landmark in Nordeast. I'm glad they repurposed it instead of demolishing it. It's fun to take pictures of but definitely a little spooky at night!

Oh my artist heaven! As an artist, I truly love and appreciate this hidden gem SO much. Endless little storefronts and galleries. So many treasures and such an adventure! I could spend a whole day here.

Was there for Art Attack in November and it was a lot of fun to go through the 4 levels of artist spaces and see their works, tall to them, and buy pieces. A great utilization of this building.

Fancy art fortress. Went here to do a photoshoot and was quite satisfied with the results. Would definitely explore this place more, seems like varies areas for rent or use. Creativity oriented atmosphere as well so supplies probably aren't far if you're social enough to ask around. Super sick spot overall!

I bought some pretty cool art here. This building is part of the Arts district in Northeast Minneapolis which has a concentration of various artist studios including sculptors, painters, photographers and jewelry makers. I visited here during their annual art-a-whirl event. Recommended.

If you can get here when the studios & galleries are open to the public, you won't regret it. Jammed with art for every taste, genre and price point. I love talking to the artists and seeing their in-progress. Easy parking. The sprawling, converted warehouse is 4 floors and can feel like a maze or the backrooms, but worth the trekking around. You never know what you will find. Stairs or elevator.

The most beautiful and stunning place to have a studio. I always get so excited to walk through history on my way to studio 240. The windows, the floors, the way Rachel keeps this place in True fashion of the history makes my experience so magical every time. In love with this building.

Best building to see local artists and lots of activities occur here throughout the year. They usually have open studios on the first Thursday of the month and each Saturday. Four floors and hundreds of studios. Some artists even provide interactive activities or discuss in great detail their works. Love coming here, and whenever I do make it down, it never disappoints

The Northrup King Building houses an immense and wondrous collection of some of the most incredible artists in the Midwest, this Northeast Minneapolis gem of a building is a place where you could spend an entire day during such open studio events like Art a Whirl, Art Attack, as well as monthly open studio days and barely see all that these fine artists have to offer. Over the years, I have made connections with several artists, collected many of their works, and always look forward to finding something new. The building itself is incredible, a former seed company, this industrial landmark also has some of the best views of Minneapolis through vintage warehouse windows. I highly suggest visiting NKB any chance you get, you won't be disappointed!

Big fan of this building. It has a great variety of artists and other makers. Recommend visiting during Art-A-Whirl when you can catch a free concert while your wife shops.

Always great fun to see the true ARTISTS of Minnesota. If people aren't engaged in the VISUAL ARTS, well then, they're really missing out. It's quiet obvious, one need not travel to an overrated city to find talent when it abounds right here in Minnesota.

This is a remarkable building transformed years ago from a seed company to studios for a wide variety of artists. Watch for news of the Art-a-Whirl each May, you won't be disappointed to explore the artistic skills on display and you will have opportunity to buy direct from the artist. Plus, it is close to a variety of unique food options, too.

Wide selection of artists with their own niches, however most are just "nice" and "quaint" pieces, not many exceptional talents that dare to be different aside from Wilde Hare Salon

Wonderful time. Many lovely charts with varied but personable artists. Loved the variety of mediums and expressions as well as reasonable prices.

The Northrup King Building is a labyrinth of a complex, filled to the brim with artist galleries and workspaces, each one host to the unique presence and creative expression of the beautiful people who call it their own. We came here for Art Attack 2023, in the company of good friends and eager to explore. Finding no end to the passion of the artists of this space, we wandered for several hours, all aglow in the joy of the human experience and shining with gratitude and love. 💙

159 is my favorite studio at Northrup. Also love Celina Kane’s hats.

The art experience in the hall is enough for a day visit. Very inspiring and will return for the open house events!

So many great Artists & art in this building. Also, up in 301 is our favorite plant place, Tonic.

Cool older building. We went when almost all the studios were open. We only got through 2 floors of the 4 (craft shows all day and lots of walking so we were pooped). Free coffee and handicapped accessible with the elevator. Very cool and different spot

Went to the open Saturday. Hardly any studio was open and clearly expecting visitors. Most were closed and uninterested in engaging. Plus not my definition of art. More like makers studios and graphic works or commercial photographers. A couple of stunning ceramics studios. Those are worth every second.

Armando is an awesome artist and he's got the best supply of NSP non drying chavant polymer clay in the whole state, which is excellent for professional sculpture uses.

I was here for Art A Whirl. While I’ve never been to the building outside of this, I didn’t find it to have enough bathrooms. At every turn there was a line at the women’s restroom. I’d suggest repurposing some of the mens restrooms.

I was invited to go, first time ever, so that was nice. I brought my daughter with me too, she set up our booth with her button machine and ppl paid for 20 minutes of their own art, then they were shown how to do it which was a hit with adults teens and even little kids. (they provided tables, I brought my own chairs, I did face painting And live painting on canvases as well. I am known as The Pancake Mouse and my studio is The Pancake Mouse Studio. Northrup was very accommodating and nice for a last minute thing. There were outside tents, live music as well as bbg and fire pit. Everyone had a blast. You should go. I did and it was awesome 😎😌

I used to love coming to the Northrup King Building but it seems like the studios have become a bit more commercial and less individual artist than they used to be. I'm not sure I feel like I need to continue to go to this building as there are better artist studios located in other buildings. The building itself is still beautiful.

Lots of locally made merchandise available. Check before going as not all the businesses are always open. Spacious building and a map is posted.

Not sure what all is in this building, saw plenty of photography studios and art studios. I just really liked this painting on the wall as I was walking through. The building itself reminded me of my high school with the old wood parquet floors

The Northrup King Building is an artists colony, in part, though some spaces are shops of new and antique toys, maps, Asian art, among others. It's four floors of subdivided spaces where some artists both create and show their work. The first weekend of November is Art Attack, when the building is open to the public Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons for people to shop or talk to the artists. Artist participation is voluntary, so not all studios are open. Start on the fourth floor and work your way across and down. There is some astoundingly marvelous stuff to be found here. Note: there's no food court and not much in the way of food to be found, so you'd be better off eating ahead of time or bringing a bag lunch. Sometimes food trucks park in the inner courtyard, but it's probably best not to rely on that. There are other times throughout the year where you can visit this interesting place, so check out their website (google Northrup King Building and you'll find it). It's too much to take in in one day, in my opinion.

This building houses numerous artists and designers. The building is historic and shows its age and uniqueness, with stairs in dire need of repair coupled with awesome barnyard doors and old style elevators. The multitude of historic floorings help the charm of this building. The artists here are many and varied. Most Saturdays have 30+ artists show casing and selling their art from noon to 4pm. I highly recommend you stop by to browse and purchase from these local artists.

👍👍 Had a great experience at this stadium watching Rammstein. Security was efficient and friendly. Had some fried cheese curds that were the best I have ever had. Prices for concessions suck though. The concert it's self sounded great. However the music playing before the show could barely be heard....
