I went with four friends to see Insidious: The Red Door. The lobby and halls were completely covered in popcorn and trash, and the bathroom floors were covered in urine (puddles and footprints all the way to the door). The movie’s image was zoomed in and blurry for some reason. It movie started out constantly stuttering and buffering. After 30 minutes or so, the staff finally restarted the movie. This fixed the buffering, but not the small and blurry image, nor the echoing audio, and the lights flickered for the entire movie. Just before the climax of the movie, the screen went black, and the ads/trailers started playing for the next movie. I told some employees that the movie stopped, but management did nothing about it, and let everyone sit in there until the next crowd started coming in for their movie. We spent more than 2 and a half hours sitting in a theater for a movie that should have lasted an hour and 40 minutes, and we didn’t even get to see the last 30 minutes of the movie. When we tried to get a refund, they told us that our money would be refunded in 3 to 5 business days. They gave us a coupon for a small popcorn, as well as coupons for “free tickets” to any movie that’s been in theaters for at least 2 weeks. They also told us that theater 2 (the one we watched the movie in) always has issues, and that we should call prior to buying any tickets in the future to make sure that we don’t buy tickets to theater 2. There were many unused screens that night, yet they still play movies on that busted projector all day. The employees and management obviously didn’t care at all about the inconvenience and they did the bare minimum to make it right. I will not be returning to this run-down, washed-up theater. They gave me a few movie passes as compensation (a month later), but 80% of the movies on the theater website specify “no passes”, so the only movies which the passes will work on are weeks old and look terrible, and Oppenheimer, which came out like four months ago! Pretty crummy/worthless compensation. TERRIBLE THEATER! STAY AWAY!

Went to see Insidious: The Red Door yesterday night at 7:40 in theater 2. When the movie began, it was buffering for the first 10 minutes or so. I left to go tell an employee and they said they'd fix it, I went back and it was another 5 minutes or so before they just turned off the movie and started it from the beginning. The movie went fine after that until about probably the last 25 mins of the movie where it just turned off and started playing commercials. People for the next showing started coming in and it was obvious they weren't going to put the movie back on and we all left. So nobody there got to see the final act of the movie, which is usually the best part. They gave us refunds and free movie passes to accommodate but don't get excited cause you can't use the pass until 2 weeks after the movie premiers. The lady giving refunds said theater 2 has had constant problems, so why even play movies in that theater in the first place? I was really looking forward to this movie and so were my friends. Disappointed. Do not recommend.

What I like about this theatre: 1. Tuesday $5 movies with free popcorn to loyalty members, Marcus theatres now charge for the popcorn. 2. Marcus theatres precook and wrap in foil, this theatre makes them fresh and hand delivers! 3: My pet peeve, Marcus theatre in Shakopee has naked straws; who knows how many hands have touched that uncovered straw before you put it in your drink.

A good quality theater and great addition to the Emagine Theater branch, however, in comparison to other locations it feels a bit outdated and in need of a few touch ups here and there. The bathrooms and hallways to the theaters are mostly in question but overall a clean theater and good quality screenings, just a bit pricey but such is seeing a movie in the 20th century.

This place needs work, bathrooms look horrendous, pop corn everywhere no one cleans anything. Smells like pee on 1-10 stage, there was chewing tobacco spit on the walls. Stage 1 seats were sticky. The food was good very nice people, just needs cleanliness.

Attended a prescreening of the new Netflix movie Leo, staff were very kind. The food was tasty and the seating was very comfortable

Theater is nice inside, but parking lot is in terrible shape. Our seats were broken and couldn't recline, which there was no way of knowing when you to select your seats before seeing them. Other than that, the concessions line was fast, and the movie was great. Facilities were clean.

Been there multiple times lately, parking is great. I can park right out front away from people but also people can admire my car. Prices aren't to bad and seats are pretty nice.
