Belmar Park is one of the best kept secrets near Denver! The lake is honestly one of my favorite to catch a sunset at and the park itself is beautiful. There's a wonderful bridge that makes it feel even more special in the fall when the leaves are changing. The sunsets perfectly over the rocky mountains and the viewpoint from here is outstanding. Some of my best sunset shots have come from here. It's a great place to explore!

Absolutely beautiful spot. A friend took me here for a walk during my visit and I had no idea how picturesque of a location this was. The water is full of turtles and fish, the paths are beautiful. Just a lovely place for an afternoon stroll. Hung out here for a while and loved every minute. Very cool spot.

You can't get enough of this 😍 park. It has a dirt road, hills, horse 🐎 trail, sidewalk all around the park, kiosk for events, lake in the middle, benches throughout, beautiful view to the mountains ⛰ a playground and portable potty. People here will greet you and smile 😃 I been here in the mornings, 🌄 sunset 🌇 and night ✨ . Best park to bring your friends for a walk 🚶‍♀️ or workout is about 2.9 miles when you make loop using the dirt trail.

Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park is fabulous to walk through. From the visitor center to the Colfax hub and farm center, there are many interesting thing to see and learn about. Walking among the many trails around the lake, you will have the opportunity to see many beautiful and serene sights. I loved the Estes motel (a part of a large complex operated in the 50’s) and the tractor shed with all the vintage vehicles in it. The visitor center itself offers a cute exhibition and even the gift store is cute. Staff is cheerful, park is very well maintained and there is much parking available.

Fantastic park! Lots of walking trails, felt very serene and peaceful. Loved the lake and views of the mountains in the distance. Had a great time exploring the remaining fall foliage on a beautiful day!

This place is, in every sense of the word, HUGE! Probably one of the biggest parks in western Colorado. Felt like it took me days to get to one side to the other side of the park with my tiny little body. And man, does this park have damn near everything, too. The Park borders up to not just a shopping district, but also the library and the city police center. The massive lake in the center also has an elaborate gazebo system and houses an aviary santuary island for all those birdwatchers. One area is also home for the Heritage Center, with many of the old buildings from the area dating from the 1930's. With many history plaques with it. On top of that, the WHOLE park is packed full of stops and gyms for any Pokémon GO fanatic. With a wide community that stops there weekly for the events hosted in the game. Though there is a small concern with dedication benches currently being removed. Not sure if that's permanent or some upgrade, but many benches have no seating.

Belmar Park is a wonderful little oasis that is surprisingly under visited. There are several nice trails that you can take for a quick stroll or for a long walk around the lake. Lots of good birdwatching a well.

There is a lake tucked right behind the Heritage Center in Lakewood! If you don't know it's there you'll definitely miss it! It is so beautiful out here! Great for bird watching, beautiful mountain views, and a fun little boardwalk! Great spot for kiddos!

I love this park for several reasons. - it’s generally not as crowded as other parks - there’s an extensive trail system so you can walk/run/skate/whatever in a variety of ways - it’s slightly hilly on the west side and therefore more dynamic - it has the cute historic buildings you can read about - good spot for bird watching - love the water and trees, it’s so peaceful

Very cool park in the belmar area of Lakewood. Lots of trails around the pond, areas to sit, and walk your dog. A few statues can be found and there's an area of the park with historical buildings and objects. It takes about 20 minutes to walk around the pond, good day outside!

This park is a hidden treasure reminiscent of Brooklyn's Prospect Park. Check out the historic buildings, the museum, the lake, and the wooden walkways and gazebos, as well as events in the amphitheater.

Lovely park. Lots of walking trails. Mostly paved sidewalk or packed dirt hiking paths. Lots of birds and geese, good for birdwatching. Today we saw many cormorants. And there is a district with historic buildings, recreations, and a museum. The weir gulch passes through and is neat to stroll along.

I really do love this park- great walking trails around the lake and the Historical Society has done such a great job at re-creating the old Lakewood structures & buildings. Great place to enjoy the beautiful weather Spring has in store for us!
