This place is a hidden jewel to me. If you like going down memory lane, getting your exercise walking along beautiful walk paths or just sitting at the lake and soaking in the beautiful scenery, this is the place to be. The museum and park staff were incredibly nice. And with every visit you see something new. One of the most peaceful places I have found in Lakewood. I highly recommend. The entry fee for the park and museum is free.

A beautiful park with a great exercise trail. We visited this location on a beautiful Saturday morning hoping to schedule a guided tour. Unfortunately, the guided tour was unavailable. However, we were able to retrieve a map from the visitor/museum center. We walked around exploring the historic grounds and ended up spending two hours on the trails. The trails were full of horse back riders, joggers and dog walker's. Everyone was friendly and positive vibes were flowing. In addition, we enjoyed a brief stop at the museum (don't forget to leave a small donation). To get the best experience, I highly recommend you stop by the visitor center to get a map and dial the number listed for LAKEWOOD BY CELL. Overall, a wonderful walking tour with informative historical sites.

What a fun relaxing experience this was! Listening to beautiful orchestra music surrounded by flameless candles all around them, while Arelists preformed was truly breathtaking! The weather was perfect and they had bar service and a food truck serving Gyros and such! Delicious! Enjoyed every second!!

We stopped here as I had seen it listed in the Roadside America app for the 1950s estes motel. I was so glad we stopped! I wish there were more older buildings from that time period but there were several more, much older, homes or barns that I was not expecting. There was also a really neat visitor center and gift shop I highly recommend you stop in if you’re there.

I had no idea this was here but its so random I love it. Old buildings, some have decorations and show what they would have looked like back then. There are a couple old cars in a covered garage as well as farm equipment. Lots of descriptions of 3ach buildings. Family and dog friendly. Great walk around the park!

Attended a Candlelight Open Air concert at the outdoor amphitheater here recently and it was great! They did an amazing job with the setup for the candlelight and kept everyone socially distanced. Loved the candlelight ambiance. The evening weather that night was perfect for this outdoor concert. The music was phenomenal. We attended the Hollywood Epics and Movie Soundtracks performed by the Velveteen Ensemble Denver and they were awesome! The staff for the event were very helpful and guided everyone to their designated area, they made sure everyone knew where the bathrooms were, and they even helped some groups with carrying and setting up the chairs, coolers or blankets that they brought with them. Each group (2-4 people per group) could pick out a designated square area in their section. The squares were huge and easily fit 4 people. There were only 2 of us in our group and we had plenty of room to spread out 2 blankets, lay down AND spread out all of our stuff. The view was great from any spot. There were mosquitos of course, but it was outdoors. Just make sure to bring some bug spray. Beautiful spot all together. Would definitely attend another concert here.

Beautiful night and lovely performance. We would like to have been able to SEE the performers instead of them being totally in the dark.

Nice park that feels more remote than it's actual urban location. Pretty lake with wildlife. Decent cover on hot days.

We went to Camp Christmas and it was stellar! We've done many light displays over the years and this one was by far the most immersive and interactive, fun and outright Awesome! Thanks guys!

This place is so awesome! From the old buildings to the amazing lake. It represents Colorado history and our amazing outdoors. It was quite, not crowded and clean. Wildlife from fish, turtles, ducks and geese.

I went to the Camp Christmas event. It was lovely since it wasn't too frigid out.

Julie, while on a random and awkward power-trip was completely unprofessional and rude to the point that I had to leave (As a volunteer). I would highly recommend NOT doing your next event here. I was unloading several cases of beverages for the event that I was a volunteer for, for the concession stand- I received permission directly to unload said beverages closer to the site we were selling them at, but yet this lady took it upon herself to treat me like I was doing something criminally wrong (she yelled at me for about 5 minutes). After berrating me for five minutes, I was finally able to let the group I was volunteering for know I could not work, especially voluntarily, for a situation like this (sorry not sorry, all about helping, but not about being yelled at for no apparent reason by some Karen on a power trip). The people in "management " here need to check themselves, the way they treat people is completely inappropriate. Instead of being able to check out my mom's concert and help sell beverages for them, I had my brother take over and left so this woman would leave us alone. Pretty sad. Incredibly unprofessional and unpleasant.

Went to Cider Days this last weekend, and it was a lot of fun! We saw the trick dogs/hogs. Best funnel cake I've ever had, from Funnelicious. Got a free massage, and my sons (and I😁) rode the choo-choo train. There were burro rides, blacksmithing presentations, crocheting, chair caning, a petting zoo, a magic show, trick dogs, trick hogs, tractor pulls, plenty of food, face painting, games and venders. And of course, there was cider! Everything apple. Will go back next year! Was fairly ADA accessible, huge, well-cared- for sidewalks, plenty of porta Johns, and they had a water bottle filling station that came up out of the ground. Very cool. It was set at 3 levels, so it was inclusive. The only draw back is that certain areas are grass and others are gravel. For anyone who has trouble with balance, irregularities in the ground, or is in a wheel chair, this may prove difficult for you/them. Get a map of the grounds and make sure you can get around on the sidewalks. It's a large grounds, so better to be safe!
