Best to avoid. There isn't much to see, except for the hills of the side of this property. Visited during holidays. This place screams artificiality. Dance and songs by tribals were the only attraction, but then it was mostly like using them as a prop.

It’s the first tribal heritage village in Kerala that helps taking a glance at tribal huts. Government of Kerala has done a good job at building and maintaining this place. The main objective of starting this heritage village is to introduce people to diverse tribal traditions. It will give knowledge to the urban dwellers about how the tribals live in their villages and what their means of livelihood are. There is a tribal cafeteria and a market to buy souvenirs, spices and other items. Note that private vehicles are not allowed. At least 2 kms of route needs to be travelled in the Jeep provided here. Entry tickets and jeep fare are pretty economical. Suggest to book tickets online to avoid huge queue over the weekends. Point to note that each jeep carries 8 people so it has to be on sharing basis unless a family of 8 members is travelling.

Visited on 16.12.23..a very scenic and peaceful place.. You can sit there for hours by enjoying the scenic view around.. Though the place is meant for indulging into the life of tribal people, I feel it is a perfect place to relax and sit.. The construction of the wall through the hilly area is amazing.. Huts there are a bit modernised and do not give the feel of tribal habitats.. It is a naturally beautiful place rather than a tribal heritage village..

Very nice place. Nature is the hero. It is recommended to have ticket and jeep ticket in advance thru online. 10 jeeps are in shuttle but is not enough to cater the needs of visitors

Recently visited "En Ooru," a captivating tribal heritage village in Kerala. It offers a rare glimpse into the lives of tribal communities, showcasing traditional huts and providing a unique experience. Initiated by the Kerala government, "En Ooru" stands as the first of its kind in the state. To make the most of your visit, I recommend booking tickets and shuttle passes online to avoid potential waiting times for jeeps. Be aware of the parking fee, and once you reach the village, explore the village's cultural richness with sculptures, exhibitions, various art forms, and convenient refreshment stalls. However, it's advisable to carry an umbrella around noon to stay comfortable. "En Ooru" is a commendable initiative, allowing visitors to connect with Kerala's tribal heritage.

Utter waste of time, money and energy! On the other-hand, they have maintained the place clean and tidy. We have to park our car in the foothill and pay Rs.80 per person for the Jeep that takes us to the top of the mountain. Jeep capacity is 8 person and its not going to be a comfortable journey for the Rs.80 you pay. Special jeeps are priced at Rs.250 and it is not a shared one. The Jeeps stops at the top of the mountain at the main entrance which is gated. From there it's a long tiring walk in the sun to the tribal village. For senior citizens and handicapped people they have electric auto to take them to the tribal village with a fees of Rs.100. Cameras are charged Rs.150 to carry along. There are a few model tribal houses and you can't expect any tribes over there. It has shopping complex with some tribal market too. There's a bow and arrow activity as well. There's also a hotel to dine in. Some snacks like potato twisters, ice cream, tender coconut, cut pieces of fresh fruits are available. The view from the mountain top is good but not so great. Too crowded. If you are planning on a trip to Wayanad and you are running out of time, then you could avoid this attraction.

Went with a lot of expectations as En ooru is the first conceptual exhibition of Tribal settlement demonstration. It was not wroth the hype. The constructions should have utilized for more activities or should add more things which is related to every tribe. Better to book ticket and safari prior in online.

Visited En Ooru in October 2023. The hard work to build such a place on top of the hills deserve appreciation. We visited the place during weekend and there was lot of crowd. After a bumpy jeep ride of around 10 minutes, you reach the place. There was heavy rains and wind when we reached there. Make sure to carry a sturdy raincoat with head cap if your are planning to visit the place during rains. Umbrellas are of no use as the wind blows with high force. There is a restaurant that serve tribal dishes. Overall, En Ooru is a must visit destination if you are planning a trip to Wayanad.

This is a pretty huge and amazing place to spend few hours in. Make sure to buy the tickets online to avoid more waiting time on ticket counter and jeep delays. You will need to either share jeep with someone or you can go as a family to reach this place. Wear comfy shoes as you gotta walk a lot. They have few stalls once you reach midway to have coconut water and fruit salads etc. you can also shop in the store. All in all you might have to spends few hours here so make sure to carry a small backpack with your stuff. The place is really beautiful and you can definitely take great shots here 😍💕

One of the place that we visited on our visit to Kerala. You get the car parking at the very start from where you need to buy the ticket to this village. Kindly note that you cannot travel from your own vehicle to the village, you need to buy the tickets from the counter from there you will be assigned one 4X4 vehicle driven by the locals/authorised people only. You can either book a personal one or can share the same with other people. I booked for myself and my wife and they took 350 rupees overall for both sides and for two people. The driver will drive for 1-2 kms and will drop you at the main entrance where you need to show the ticket. One advice here to wear some comfortable shoes like sneakers as it would be steep walk and sport shoes/sneakers will help. I did not find any shop/cafe for food. You will find some cart selling coconut water/lemon soda that will help you. But rest I did not find any food joint. You will get phone network in this area, as I had full 5G Jio coverage. There were some small shops selling spices/tea leaves/coffee etc & souvenirs etc that you can give a try if you wish. The views here are pretty scenic. There were washroom as well just in case required. I won’t say this place is worth visiting but one can at least cover this place for once and help & support the tourism. Once you are done exploring this place at the exit gate you need to show the same ticket number on the counter and they will arrange a cab for you.

There is nothing here to see. Just a small sample village where you can do nothing. You will be taken to main enterance of this place by their own jeep and then you have to walk around 400 metres to see the village. If you have plenty of time you can visit this place but for me, this particular thing can be omitted from iteinary as such. You can click some pictures of scenic beauty around but that kind of view is there at many other places in Wayand.

2000 people allowed per day. Online booking available. Need to create login credentials for booking. https://enooru.co.in/ticket From the parking slot they will take us to the top in their jeeps. May need to wait for some time to get jeep. Once you get into the village it may look good at the first sight. But then you realise it’s just an artificial structures even without any detailings. Have things available for purchase and some exhibition also available. Photogenic place. May have to wait a long for your return trip from the top to parking area.

Worse experience! What makes it worst is the wait time for the Jeep. If you are going on a weekend or a public holiday it will be so crowded that you will have to wait for nearly 45mins to reach the place and walk like 2kms inside it that too uphill in the heat makes it terrible. It’s not even a village it’s sort of a dedicated place to tribal type from MP and you won’t meet or see their houses. It’s all made up and just not worth. Ticket is cheap but take my recommendation and don’t visit this place. Back and forth you will be provided with a token number and you can only board the zeep when it’s your turn. So a minimum 45mins wait is normal but let’s say you have 10 tokens behind and each token have around 15 people then it could be way more. It’s just your luck but wait time is more during the weekend or public holiday. Please apply suncreen, carry water bottle and wear a cap to save yourself from heat. It will be horrible without these.

The place is so beautiful and worth coming, but the jeep service is very poor They do not have a proper Cordination and we have been waiting for more than half an hour just to go back. Except the Jeep service and the staff behaviour the place is beautiful and to see the culture

Re-created mini tribal village. From historical point of view, this gives a glimpse of how tribal houses were. 4-wheel drive from entrance to starting point is a nice adventure in itself. Located on a hill, the view is good and the walk is nice. Can be better if it had guided narration.

A huge place with a lovely atmosphere surrounded by hills!! Really a god's own place. You can easily spend at least 3-4 hours there. One suggestion is to book the tickets online as you avoid the big queue to buy tickets. I would recommend buying the tickets in the afternoon after 2-3PM as there will not be many people during that time. You have to go with their vehicles as your own vehicles are not allowed. Overall an excellent place

Nice place to sit peacefully and feel the cool breeze. Once you enter the gate you can spend the whole day there. The huts are super amazing. It wasn't really built with mud and grass roof I think but the sheet itself was covered with some grass or something. It looks real and feels the same. I just loved it, unable to spend more time due to other travel destinations. You can't drive your private vehicle there, from the downside you have to book a jeep and they will drop you there. The view above the hill was also mesmerizing.

Park vehicle, buy ticket and hop on to a jeep. Up and down and by their jeep. Dont start walking, it is a 2km hiking. Once ticket booked, you receive one sms, keep that. This is your ticket to ride and enter the premises. By the way, max visitor allowed per day is 2000, so if you arrive around 3pm or later on a holiday, you wont be allowed. From the top, it is too good. You see mountain all around, and sometimes rain in nearby areas. There are some ice cream stalls, one restaurant and lots of shops to buy tea, coffee, art and crafts. In afternoon, they perform tribal folk song. You would enjoy it. The tribal village is man made and no one stays there.

The place is just awesome. You can get a good experience of tribal life and their culture. Ticket: ₹60 per person. You have to pay extra for the jeep service to reach this place. This will cost ₹60.

I only recommend you visit this place during MONSOON or WINTER, any other season or time if the year the land is all dried up and the view not so great. But during those 2 seasons the place is magnificent, it rained when we climbed up and so when we got there all the plants and trees were all green and alive. In addition to that the fog and the cold wind was all a wonderful experience. But there isn’t anything to the place except for that.

Government has done excellence service here by providing transpiration to hill top. And for maintaining it clean. Place looks good with the huts which is very clean, would like these mini huts to someday have some sculptures showcasing replica of how tribal community stays within huts and around the huts. Something to add-on are their arts and culture and costumes. I liked the drumbeats they organized within one hut, but would expect more cultural programs. It would be good if somebody could explain about tribal who live in these huts. Giving 4 star just for initiating and opening up a place for general public to get educated on tribal communities.
