The perfect venue for a family day trip is ISKCON Mayapur. Excitement is increased by the knowledge that the famous temple will open in 2025. The architecture and calm atmosphere of the temple offer a very spiritual experience. The aartis in the morning and evening are quite magnificent. Lunch and dinnertime prasadam is a beautiful feast, so don't miss it. Make sure to reserve a room in advance if you intend to stay on the ISKCON campus. The closest train stations for transit are Bishnupriya Halt or Krishnagar. Inside the mandir grounds, don't miss the opportunity to see the museum and cowshed while at the temple. ISKCON Mayapur provides a comprehensive and spiritually enlightening experience that is ideal for both individuals and families.

The temple is beautiful and spacious. It is equipped with many staff to keep the area neat and clean. It also has a museum for which you have to pay 10rs per person. If you want to know thw history of how ISKCON society was made, museum is a must visit. What we didn't like is no one was chanting "Hare Krishna". I missed it.

The region is associated with Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, a revered figure in Gaudiya Vaishnavism. It is said that Krishna appeared along with his brother Balarama, as Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Nityananda Prabhu. These two brothers appeared just for the fallen conditioned souls of this Kali Yuga to bestow on them the greatest blessings of Harinama Sankirtan based on the teachings of Bhagvad Gita and Shrimad Bhagavatam. Along with their associates, the Pancha Tattva, they distributed the divine Love of Godhead to anyone and everyone without seeing any qualifications or disqualifications. Mayapur is where the Material and Spiritual Worlds meet. Just as there is no difference between Lord Chaitanya and Lord Krishna, similarly there is no difference between Shridham Mayapur and Vrindavan

Mayapur Chandrodaya Mandir is a Hindu temple complex under construction dedicated to the Pancha-Tattva deities, Radha Madhava, Nrisimhadeva and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, located at the town of Mayapur in West Bengal, India. It will be the Largest Religious Monument in the world after completion of construction.

A main attraction in Mayapur is Srila Prabhupada's Pushpa Samadhi Mandir, a memorial to ISKCON's (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) founder. ISKCON or the Hare Krishna movement has its headquarters here. The main shrine is surrounded by a museum depicting Srila Prabhupada's life, using fiberglass exhibits. Sri Krishna Chaitanya, who appeared in 14th century, 1486,he is the one who started the Hare Krishna movement- he was the first to teach widespread mass chanting and singing of the Hare Krishna mantra. On the left side of the main temple room is a murti of ISKCON’s Founder-Acharya, Srila Prabhupada in his Vyasasana. The tall majestic marble dome dominates the skyline and shines beautifully in the golden rays of the sun at sunrise and sunset. The garland which adorned his Divine Grace while placing him in Samadhi has been brought and laid down in the mandir. On the right side, on the main altar are the presiding deities: the beautiful larger than life size Sri Sri Radha Madhava. The best thing recommended while being in Sri Mayapur is chanting the holy names of the Lord. The most powerful mantra to be chanted is the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra, i.e. Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. This maha-mantra is chanted 24x7 in Sri Mayapur. It was spiritually enlivening experience for us. Couple of things to keep in mind would to leave anything questionable before entering the temple premise as there is security checks in place, there are lockers available to safe keep your personal belonging like camera, mobile etc.Food , prasad, books of relegious teachings are all available for purchase.
