Had a nice cup of tea and shared fries and a flapjack with my son. Prices were reasonable. Tables are spread out but it does get crowded. Prices are reasonable. The Book Swap Bookcase is a good idea. We will come back but only when it's not too busy. One of my friends who has been here said the food was good and he's very picky Update: We have been for tea at about 3.30 twice. Loved the tea cakes and tea. It wasn't too busy and got good seats. The staff were lovely

The vibe inside is astounding. There are a lot of paintings inside which lift up the atmosphere. The food is delicious, it was a little late but they made up for it with great drinks (would recommend the homemade lemonades). And the staff is friendly and kind. Would definitely come here again!!

Friendliest place you could go! Big welcome at the door like an old friend. Amazing menu catering for all including Vegans - me!! Tried all on menu now and all 10/10. Best waitress ever is Alice, always extra happy when she's working. Thanks Lounges :-)

Thanks for recommendation of Gallico Lounge. We went there for breakfast which we had large selection from traditional English breakfast to American pancakes and sandwiches. I was very surprised with eclectic interior design which looks awesome. One day I'll be back to check beers selection ;)

Went twice here and it was really good with the best dessert I've ever had: the banoffee waffle 😍... But really disappointed to see that you removed it from the menu now...hope to see it back in the menu soon 🤞🏻

A colourful and arty restaurant with a vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff. My meal was packed with flavour but the portions were slightly smaller than I'd expected. Considering that I'd recommend the place as worth visiting just to appreciate all the paintings on display, perhaps it might be more appropriately renamed the Gallery Lounge.

As a type 1 diabetic - this was one of those eateries where everyone was catered for apart from those who have to guess the carb value.

I've been a fan of Gallico since it opened and the food is always good. Trouble is the standard of cleanliness is hit and miss. Wouldn't have left this review if the waitress had dealt with the issue. Our tea and coffee came in dirty mugs. The tea mug still had the stain line on the inside, various stains on the outside and the coffee mug was also dirty on the outside. Asked for a clean one which the waitress brought over but it was the same. Queried this and the waitress lazily responded "they're just like that, they stain over time". I would have accepted this if it hadn't been so easy for me to clean the cup with a bit of tissue and water. Not good. Will I go back? yes for the food but I might take my own cup.

I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant and indulging in their exquisite dishes. The Bang Bang Chicken was a burst of flavors, perfectly balanced and accompanied by a tantalizing sauce. The Pulled Brisket Chilli was an absolute delight, with the tender brisket melting in my mouth and the chili adding just the right amount of kick. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients truly set this restaurant apart. A must-visit for anyone seeking a culinary experience that's both delectable and memorable!

Great service & atmosphere. The Tapas were also really good but sadly a few of the chicken wings were cold. The churros were a real downer. Not fresh, light & fluffy but heavy & too deep fried. Definitely worth a visit for the vibe. Not sure of what I think about the tipping when you order option. Do you tip more for better service? How is the service if you don’t tip? How can you tip more if the service was great?

Placed an order for 3 large breakfast,at a cost of £13:95, 3 lattes. We we're advised that there would be 30-40 mins delay on food which we accepted. When the food arrived it was mostly cold . We contacted staff re the problem, the was removed immediately, and we were offered complimentary drinks whilst the food was replaced, after a further 35 mins replacement food arrived. We sampled different parts of the meal some really hot,but cooler than the first meal. Staff avoided our table, and we were unable to attract the attention of staff. We ate the hot food but left the cold food. Perhaps we will give this place a miss for a while and not recommend it too friends. Also it is dog friendly not hygienic at all!!!

If there was a 4.5 stars I would use it for Gallico. Really enjoyed the food and it was reasonably priced too. It is a young person's spot, so felt ever so slightly out of place at 41. But I would still go back for the food. Staff are efficient, but should maybe check in with tables to see if everything is ok as it all felt quite rushed. Definitely worth a try.

Typical student restaurant. Good value for money, with a wide variety of different dishes. Excellent vegetarian selection. Good range of cocktails which I am reliably informed are very good. Food was well prepared, very good flavour, fresh tasting. Good atmosphere and a fun place to go!

Tables and toilets clean. Couldn't use the QR code to order as had no data connection there (Vodafone network) . Flat white was very strong but nice. Avocado and poached egg on sour dough bread was nice but would have been nicer if the topping was warm or toasted as it was very cold and made the poached egg luke warm but the egg was cooked perfectly.

Great vegan menu. Friendly staff. A relaxing atmosphere even though it was busy. My vegan biryani was delicious and a very good price. I'll definitely be visiting again soon.

Great service and friendly staff. Food was great and delicious! The music was a bit loud on the night we visited, good vibe but have to shout across the table for conversations. Could do a bit of improvement on cleanliness, especially on cutlery, mugs, corners and toilet. Overall a experience, would come again for the yummy food and great service.

Staff were absolutely lovely! Food delicious and good quality. Great variety of food for all. Toilets were provided for all needs! E.g spare toiletries, nappy wipes etc... Will have to come back again!

Great surroundings, lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Hillarious but then a little cringe when my friends food allergy was shouted 6 times and given a red 'look at me' flag. But great that the allergy was taken seriously.

The staff are always really friendly and welcoming. There's sometimes a bit of a wait for food, but generally it's never been too long (when they first opened it was awful!). The food is pretty much your average pub style, and is well prepared and tasty. Proces are a little higher than some other venues, but it's a nice environment.

You must visit it's a great place and a lovely experience. The staff are so friendly and very helpful we felt so welcome. It was nice as we waited for our food we drank the really good coffee and chatted, our food came it was delicious every bit of it so tasty and very well presented. It's very rare we are in a restaurant for more than an hour but it was so easy and comfortable we didn't rush to leave. Looking forward to going again, oh yes the decor is wow

Good food and great service, especially given that it was full during our Monday lunchtime visit. It is totally open plan - making it very loud however, which meant everyone’s conversations required a shouty voice. The venue’s decor is quite nice and quirky but it has a slightly industrial feel - with unattractive bare concrete ceilings that let it down. You are invited to find a free table yourself and are (quickly) given paper Menüs to choose from, after which you either order up at the bar in person or through a convenient mobile App provided at each table. Lunch for two was made up of 2 mains, 1 side order and 2 drinks costing £24.50 in total. The gents’ toilets were very clean and nicely presented, but a bit chilly and lacked any decent heating. Would we go back? Yes but at a quieter time of day so that we didn’t have to shout at each other and had a wider choice of tables (reservations not taken at the time of writing this review mid March 2020).
