FELT CHEATED Room with no bathroom and relocated to a room in a apartment building 500 meter away with a pub right below with music very load until 5 AM. Loud means that the bass tones transmited the vibration to the furniture. Imposible to sleep. We have to leave and never got a refund. We made the reservation through Booking.com. When we arrived we were ask ro pay up front. The room did not have bathroom. They said the bathroom was outside the room but It was only for us to use so they can published the room with bathroom. We wanted to leave but we had already paid and they would not refund us. They offer another room with bathroom 900m away. We accepted, bad error. It was an apartment building in a very busy and noisy street. We were right above a pub with extrimely loud music. At 2 AM I went down to ask when they will close and they said around 5 AM. I went to the original hotel and there was no one. We have to leave in orden to sleep. The next day I ask for a refund, but they said that they could not found the key to the room, so no refund. Booking said that the hotel showed williness to refund but since the key was missing they had the right not to refund. Charging upfront, misleading information about the bathroom and they know how to deal with Booking marking us as not show, so we could not wright a review, said that they were willing to refund us but could not find the key. So they did not refund and avoid a bad review. We felt that we were cheated and they are quite good at It. Stay away.

I’m very sorry I chose this hotel and would not recommend it! We were in apartments 5 and 7 on Kettengasse 10, which is owned by Sudpfanne but a 6-10 minute walk away down the main shopping street from check in. We also had one room in the main building, and the three together cost over €350 total. Arrived on a cold Monday and checked in at 3. All three rooms were accessible only by stairs. The room in the main building said it had a private bathroom, but to access it you had to leave your room and cross the hall. The two rooms at Kettengasse 10 were freezing. It took over five hours and multiple phone calls for them to determine the heater was broken. Meanwhile our children and elderly parents were freezing until nearly 10pm when it was fixed. While I appreciate the apologies offered, I wish I had been believed at 4pm and not told to wait until after 8pm for someone to check it in person. I also think a partial discount or some compensation should have been offered. The windows are very cheap. The cold air and street noise come right through. This building needs new double pane windows badly. The only positive notes I can offer are the location is amazing and the beds were comfy.

Amazing place. When we arrive, we ordered a schitzel and the attendant said it would take some time. Well, it took only 5 minutes, qnd it was delicious! Well served, and the people are well polite and courteous.

10 out of 10 stars! Maria was our server and she was welcoming, engaging, friendly and efficient. She made our time at this restaurant even that *more special. I need to add that Maria was working all of the tables by herself and slayed it! Sudpfanne was so good that we dined here twice in one day, and brought a friend! For lunch Mr. Wonderful enjoyed the sausage plate with potatoes and sauerkraut. I had the fried bread dumplings, mushroom gravy, with sauerkraut. We were happily fulfilled. For dinner Mr. Wonderful ordered the schnitzel, our friend ordered the goulash, and I was still full from lunch - so I only had the potato soup. All three of us left, full and happy. This restaurant is not a touristy. They cater to locals and folks who know where to go! They offer a warm, cozy and welcoming environment. They also offer a beautiful beer garden in the back when weather permits.

The homemade food is SO DELICIOUS!!! The owner is super friendly. The ambient is warm and cozy. We recommed the Schnitzel Holzfaller, White Asparagus, Beef Steak, and tomato soup! 😊❤ or ask the owner to recommend you the special dishes.

Room and bathroom are clean and nice. Loud for sleeping during late and early hours in the day. Be aware of the steep stairs in the other building. These are not easy for travelers with heavy luggage.

Beautiful, warm setting. The Saumagen with egg was excellent and tasty. The Oven backed Maultaschen were perfectly cooked. The wine choice is great and change from the usual, the Italian Vermentino very nicely went with the food. Very friendly with kids. Danke!

I won’t recommend this hotel for stay as the rooms are hundreds meters away without any keepers there. You can’t imagine how disappointed we were after we entered the room, looked very cheap, don’t worth the money. In the old town is the only advantage.

Stayed here for a few nights. The food was amazing and I loved the atmosphere. I back after 5 years and it was even better than I remembered. The court yard in the back is a great place to have dinner. It feels like you are with family while eating there. I absolutely recommend this place if you are in the area.

We sat outside to enjoy the nice cool weather and warm sun. Our attendant was prompt, friendly, and spoke English! I didn't have to use my Timekettle translator ear buds! Ordered a rose to go with my schnitzel, which I forget what it was called... Hol... something and was served with fried potatoes. It was all very delicious!

Very nice little restaurant. Our waiter and I think owner was very nice and was always checking up in us. Food was hot and very delicious. And my kids loved the bratwurst. He even went ahead and split the meal in to two plates for both of them. Definitely will come back.

This hotel may not be for everyone, but for us it was perfect. a very large room, in the old town. The room was huge and clean, the bed was comfortable. The stairs might be an issue for some. Parking is short walk away. For the next couple of months the construction project outside may make people that want to sleep late, a little unhappy, but the noise wasn't that bad for us. When we checked in the staff was extremely helpful, as we needed a taxi, they got us one, and we made our dinner reservation.

Very good regional menue. For lunch on a weekend make sure to be early or have a reservation. Staff is very friendly. No menue in English available.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner last night at Sudpfanne and would highly recommend it to anyone. Maria, our waitress was friendly and helpful with explaining the menu and the area. All four of us enjoyed different items from the menu and the food was excellent. We sat outside in their lovely beer garden. Enjoy!!!
