This is a great and clean hotel. They have recently joined the holiday Inn brand. As such, there are a few things missing that you normally get at holiday inns. The main issue I have is their meal options. They have a restaurant in the building as opposed to a free breakfast all they offer is a tiny 10% discount at the restaurant. One of the reasons I stay at holiday inn almost exclusively is due to the nice few breakfast buffet. For the price that they charge for your stay, the last they could do is offer a little more. Also, I know they are going through a remodel, but one thing is that there is a lack of signage as to where certain things are located, such as the gym. There is a gym, but it is small and very lackluster with not a lot of newer equipment. Which is something that I appreciate at other holiday inns

i had a horrific experience in this hotel. i was with my gf in our room comfortably on our bed when suddenly the door opened and another guest entered thinking this was her room. the front desk staff had issues her our room! this was so shocking and it left us uneasy the rest of the stay, any sound we think someone is coming in again. the manager called to apologize, he asked how he can compensate and I said I didn’t want to talk about it then because I was still in shock from the experience. the manager or who ever was in charge that night, then offered us dinner to make us feel better, I accepted and when I went to talk to him the next morning about a compensation he said that dinner was compensation enough and when I said that was not acceptable he then offered a discount rate for future stays. I’ve never had such a horrible experience and lack of response there after. i filed a complaint on the corporate feedback email they send you after you stay and selected to be contacted by the hotel management but it’s been over a month and I haven’t heard anything. totally unprofessional and negligent. we are currently waiting for legal advice.

Nice hotel. Restaurant on site. Decent rooms. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Overall a good but not great experience. The bathroom sink was plugged. The staff closed off the elevators to wipe them down during check out time (why not wait until after 11:00?).

Terrible experience.. checked into a dirty room. there was hair all around the sink and someone had shaved and not cleaned up after themself. There was blood on the bedsheet. Terrible experience and wouldn’t recommend staying here as nothing was done about this. The shower curtain in the bathroom smelt so terrible, it stunk up the whole bathroom.. smelt as though it has not been changed in over a year.

Staff were lovely but the room was very run down and dated. Almost all the furniture was over worn and stained. Bathroom floor had not been scrubbed and had pee all around the toilet. My mattress was very worn in and sunk in the middle. I even found dirty ear plugs behind my pillow between the wall and mattress. Would not recommend this location. I’ve stayed at many Holiday Inns and this doesn’t come close to how well maintained the others are.

Rooms quite loud, staff not as friendly as other Holiday Inn properties, and they charge for things typically complimentary at Holiday Inns. Parking was convenient and location was close to US border. However, sleep was disturbed as there was loud music playing at night and beds felt smaller than previous hotels we stayed at.

I stayed in holidayinn surrey hotel and disappointed with there service. I put don't disturb tag outside the door and when i came from outside somebody cleaned inside which is a clear case of privacy security violation that can't be accepted from a IHG hotel and i complained front desk about it and they offered me a free breakfast which was very disappointing which i denied. I thought of reporting this to IHG regarding this since i am a Ihg member but this time i booked through third party site. Any way i am reporting to Ihg regarding this serious privacy security violation by them...

Whole room tear down. Have been used a lot. Big noise coming from the outside. Really a bad experience.Microwave took almost all desk space, not breakfast included and neither the choice of complimentary coffee.

Worst hotel to stay. If you want to get suffocated then you could stay here. The air conditioner does not work continuously and my kids started sweating. I called up the receptionist who said that the air conditioner does not work continuously on all rooms. We kept the cool to 20celcius which is 69 faranheit. The air conditioner works for 30 seconds and then cuts off and then starts again after 5 minutes when the temperature outside was 30 degrees. I think the hotel is trying to cut down on power consumption such a cheap hotel with cheap trick to fool the customers. Never visit this hotel again. Update: the next morning I spoke to the manager who checked me in, she said this is how all the hotels follow. My point was the room was never cooling to 20 degrees and the air conditioner cuts off before that. She said she visited various hotels and they all do this. I was disappointed by her attitude and left.

Staff were awesome and rooms were clean. Booked through Priceline and I was given a King bed. Reception staff was courteous enough to change my room to 2 queens after seeing me with kids. Cons: Mattress was so bad that caused backpain No free breakfast

Very clean hotel. They only do breakfast for two per room if you have children you’ll need to purchase additional breakfast. We had chatty neighbors and one call to front desk and they were able to quite down.

Love that theyt showcase the pool as an ammenty for GUESTS. However every time we tried to use it it was occupied for private lessons and no the lessons were not for guests but locals who go there specificaslly for swim lessons. Typical private rackett

It is the first holiday inn hotel I have ever stayed without compliment breakfast. The bathroom does not have air exhaustion. The fitness center is smelly. Did not try anything else. In a nutshell, the worse IHG hotel I have ever stayed.

Hey, I stayed for three nights, everything was fantastic except for the moment when i lost my brand new packed MK wallet gift set during my stay. The object has sentimental value as it was a gift from my sister. I reported and voiced my above concern to the management, but has not received any follow-up call from the same. It is really disheartening and disappointing at the same time when you do not feel safe and secure at the place of stay. I will suggest the customers to be very careful about their personal belongings. Thank you.

Worst customer service of any hotel I've stayed at. The two women at the front desk didn't greet us when we walked in. Didn't tell us anything about the hotel and its, lack of, amenities. They sublet their swimming pool to a third party and swimming lessons are held everyday, which we found out when going to the pool. Extremely basic 1 King Bed Suite. 1 king bed in a separate bedroom with a pullout sofa in the living area. Kitchenette area has a fridge and microwave with A LOT OF EMPTY old CABINET space. Walls were dirty, carpet was bunching in a few spots. Hot water in kitchen area is dangerously hot! The room is quite large, yet it didn't have a small dining table with chairs to eat at. Pullout sofa was horrible and they don't offer rollaway beds. No extra bedding was provided. When calling down asking for more blankets we were told to go down to the front desk and get them. We stayed 3 nights and everyday when we walked through the front door, no hello. Staff just looked at us and went back to being on their phone. And everyday upon returning to our room our key cards did not work! 👎 I would not recommend Holiday Inn in Cloverdale to anyone.

I stayed here recently with my family, The kids eat free in the attached restaurant which is great. There is ample parking with a grocery store, Starbucks, McDonald's and a gas station all within a 5 minute walk. The rooms were alright the arm on the desk chair was broken. And there was no shampoo or conditioner in the room. The biggest complaint about the room would have to be that the airconditioning wasn't able to keep the room cool no matter how low you set it which is restricted to 69F by the unit itself. We went to the pool one morning only to find out that the hotel rents out their pool for swimming lessons from 9am - 3pm on the weekend. We could only use half the pool. It was so loud in there due to the kids in the lessons screaming we weren't able to enjoy the pool but they don't let anyone know. It's not on the website or posted anywhere in the hotel or elevators. When we enquired at the front desk we were told that they end at 3 and we can use the pool after. (They did offer to cancel all the lessons the next day, but we were leaving.) It was very disappointing and inconvenient. I would recommend this hotel only if you don't want to swim or use the hot tub (which it doesn't have).

The front staff was very friendly and helpful. As soon as we got in she greeted with a very friendly smile that made all of us welcomed. This was one of the best hotels we stayed during our trip. The room was super clean, the air condition was at the right level, clean air, the carpet was clean, and so one. I highly recommend this hotel and definitely will come back again in the future. It was worthy for the price.

Decent place. Lounge open until 10pm. Walking distance to the casino. Bed wasn't the most comfortable so I highly recommend having 6-28 drinks before bedtime and you'll sleep like a baby. Pillows and blankets were amazing.

Superb staff, good space. I gave it 4 stars as the rooms feel dated and furniture seems old but overall my stay was great. Its surrounded by a parking lot but fortunately its not too noisy, there is the odd car that plays loud music for a few mins but only that.

I've never wrote a negative review before but my stay at the holiday inn was terrible! The bed had sand and other people's hair in it and the shower had soap scum all over it. The entire room was super dusty and I can't help but thing that isn't very covid safe. I had called the hotel a few days before to communicate that I'd be checking in later at night and they hung up on me 3 times. It was definitely better then sleeping in my car, but not by much.

Good general selection. Great parking. Pharmacy super convenient. poor selection on a range of food items, mediocre range and quality of fresh produce.

The room was spacious with the king sized bed. There was a microwave and fridge. Although the washroom was unacceptable especially for Holiday Inn standards. There was grime around the sink that had been there for years it seems like it has never had a brush put to it just gross. I spoke to front desk upon check-out and they said they would let management know and then I was on my way. Not impressed for a $191.00 room.
