Dinner for 4 on Mother's Day, classic French done well: Artichoke, bone marrow; duck a l'orange, scallops w leek confit, hanger steak; profiteroles, sorbets, molleux au chocolat.

Always delicious. Have been coming here for a decade, the quality and service has never dipped. The steak frites is to die for, go for medium rare (o go for blue cheese dipping sauce, but can get peppercorn or wine), the escargot are seasoned and prepped supremely well. Has good variation of wine, champagne, and beer as well. Service is always great, friendly staff ready to provide recommendations. Always a strong recommendation, do call ahead for dinner for reservations, it tends to get very busy.

Good simple food at a very reasonable price at lunch. The place does have an atmosphere of french brasserie or bistrot. The lunch menu has a very reasonable price. The chicken pot pie is served in a little pot and covered by a golden color thin pie. It is plenty enough for one person and very filling.

The food was fine, the service was slighty below average. The male host was anything but welcoming with an air of smugness. Definitely do not sit near the window by the door, especially if you have younger children. Not sure why we were seated there when there was a whole other dining area available. Unfortunately, I did not notice until after we were served our appetizers.

Average food and bad service. - Bone Marrow appetizer had way too much oil - Onion soup was average, not enough cheese and not done well compared to many other French places. - Mussels: best dish, very well done. - Thymus (sweetbread) for main course: well done, BUT came with 2 small carrots and 2 small Brussel sprouts cooked from frozen so poorly that you can tell it was frozen veggies. Thymus was good and the mustard based sauce was great. But few frozen veggies? It takes away from the whole plate and makes you question the quality. - lava cake came out in 2 min vs 12 and it was worse than Trade Joe version. Very disappointing. Service was bad. The male host was arrogant (white male) and the waitress (short Asian female) was inattentive, dismissive and provided little to no service. Ambiance is very nice. It’s chic place with somewhat trendy crowd, casual.

Solid food and wine options in Larchmont, which is a food wasteland for the most part. It will not knock your socks off but it also will not leave you disappointed. Good options across the appetizer, entrée and desert menu and you can bring kids and they won't brutalize you for a pasta with butter!

Really cozy nice place. Excellent lunch menu for $19.50 pp. Fantastique! Food was good, portions size was ok too. Desserts a must, the highlight of the menu!

Best French Restaurant! Amazing food & management is superb. David is operating a high end restaurant! Also want to thank Joe for the great service. Highly recommend Encore Bistro Francais for the best French restaurant!

The best French Bistro for miles. Be sure to try their Steak Frites with their peppercorn sauce. Their fries are super crispy and perfectly salted.

I love the ambience, their Salade Parisienne (with 2 eggs), their octopus appetizer and of course, the creme brulee is to die for!! didn't get a photo of the salad because I dove right into it but got photos of the other 2 dishes

Local gem, This place is consistently great! The service is spot on! They offer a variety to nightly specials. I had hit it on a night when they had French bean soup and stewed chicken over rice. WOW it was one of the best meals that I have in Westchester in years.

I had the prix-fixe lunch option, which consisted of carrot ginger soup, hanger steak and creme brulee. The soup was good, but could have been a *touch* more smooth. The steak was good and cooked perfectly. The complement of fries was welcome. The creme brulee was tasty, of course, but didn't have as satisfying a "crack" as I would have liked. All-in, a tremendous value and an overall good experience. Would recommend and will return.

We dined here to celebrate my mom’s 104th birthday. The service was excellent, accommodating some substitutions, timely, friendly. The food was outstanding: onion soup not too salty but just the right amount of wine, salad with a light flavorful dressing, the best rack of lamb ever; buttery soft, sautéed spinach heavenly, duck a l’orange crisp on outside soft inside. Desserts were all generous and perfect. The best meal we’ve had in many years! Kudos Encore! (It would have been nice if the owner or chef would have offered a special “free” dessert in honor of a 104th birthday and made a little fuss over it— only criticism).

Three stars is generous although the location on a warm summer evening was pleasant. They got my dish wrong and said it would take 20 minutes to get my ordered dish ready. This had nothing to do with my 3 star rating the problem was the food quality. They came back and offered me the incorrect dish to eat while I waited for my ordered dish - which was nice, but I declined and said I would eat the incorrect dish only and pass on my ordered dish. They also gave me free French fries for some reason. The trout I got was bland and not particularly fresh - I suspected they were trying use it up. My wife ordered Poulette Fermier Roti which had an odd flavoring - it’s hard to screw up a dish like this in a “Bistro”. Lastly we ordered the Tarte Fine Aux Pommes. It came with a tiny scoop of ice cream and was surprisingly dry, lacking texture, and devoid of flavor. It seemed a few days old. I would not try this place again.

I enjoy the sublime French recipes that are staples here. Recently dined and had a poached sole with couscous that was fresh and piquant without being overbearing~ in my experience, the trademark of good French food. I’ve had mussels, escargot and tartare- all good. I especially recommend the desserts, including Crêpes (Monday night features crepe entrees that are an excellent price) and poached pear. The bread is also crusty, delicious French bread. In warmer weather, the outside tables hearken to a European sidewalk cafe atmosphere, which is aided by its neighbors (Stanz and Bradley’s). All in all, I would say, you can’t go wrong.

My wife and I when to have diner in this restaurant , we really enjoyed the food , very tasty actually , but we were a bit disappointed because the service was pretty poor , there were waiters around and others members of the restaurant and nobody clean up our table or offered a desert , even when we asked for the check , the plates were still on the table , there was not even enough room to place the check and sing it . That’s why I only tipped 15% . Complements to the chef the food was great specially the steak was perfect cooked .
