It's quite a way to go from the city centre. I rented a bicycle. I visited in April and it was a very sunny day so it was very hot. If you come in the summer I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble. It was built in the 18th century, so I'm sure there are more ancient and spectacular aqueducts scattered around Europe, dating from Roman times. I mean, the building itself is OK, but if you're in Larnaca for a day like I was, don't feel guilty if you skip visiting this place.

(Translated by Google) Walls, as in many cities (Heraklion Crete, Kavala) but in a size that fits into a single photograph. Good (Original) Τείχη, όπως σε πολλές πόλεις (Ηράκλειο Κρήτης, Καβάλα) αλλά σε μέγεθος που χωράει σε μία μόνο φωτογραφία. Καλό

This was a great bit of history to see still standing and on a beautiful sunny February morning we popped over to take a look , only need 20minutes to walk the front and go look at the top of it . Fascinating to think these used to carry water to the city’s. We enjoyed it on a relax day out

An attractive place for a short visit. You can walk along the aqueduct. Half an hour is enough for you to visit. There are also places where cars or bus can be parked. A stream flows under the aqueduct and there are various birds in it, some even exotic. The place is in the city.

This is hard to believe, but the seemingly ordinary aqueduct is almost the main attraction of Cyprus. I would not give him such loud titles, but to pass by is also not an option. By the way, in proof of Cypriot's attitude towards him (at least Turkish), his image on the Cypriot lira of 1961 is. The 18th century aqueduct was built by the Cyprus governor Bekir Pasha and served as a water supply system for Larnaca until 1938. The aqueduct was stretched into the city from the Tremitos River in the years 1746-1747. Its total length was more than ten kilometers. Where on the way there were ravines, several arched bridges were built - aqueducts. A total of 3 bridges of 31, 12 and 32 arches were built. The remains of the longest of them are one of the main tourist highlights of Larnaca.

Could easily have been a 5 star birding spot. But as on the rest of Cyprus. Garbage everywhere and the whole area looks like a construction site, as everywhere else on Cyprus

It is just a historic water bridge with multiple arches. Don't expect an amazing architecture. 20 to 30 minutes is enough to get some pictures.

So neat to think of how long this has been erected... Great little path, easy parking... Oddly in what is now housing area.

We arrived just as the sun was setting. I foolishly though it was Roman, but it's 18th Century.

I've read a lot about aqueducts and how they were constructed. Very interesting place if one knows the history.

It's a nice place to visit. We rented a bike in town and cycled the salt lake hiking trail, which was verry nice ! We stoppen and bathed our feet in the water. ENjoyed the enourmous reets and walked up and passed under the Aquaduct, where the trail starts.

Aquaduct is in a pretty good state, but the area around it is not. Next to a large road, a football field and a lot of waste everywhere. Could be much nicer to visit it the area was included in the maintenance.

Well preserved aqueduct. There is a nice, about 4 km long walking path from Old Larnaca on the east side of the lake.

Well-preserved part of aqueduct. Good spot for panoramic pictures. It actually goes all way around the city and in other places it looks more real but not that picturesque.

Gut erhaltenes Aquädukt aus der römischen Zeit. Es ist einen Besuch wert auf den Weg zum Salzsee um Flamingos zu sehen und nimmt auch nicht all zu viel Zeit in Anspruch.

Great location for snapping some awesome looking photos. I recommend combing this location with a trip to the salt lake. There is a very scenic footpath behind the aqueduct that connects both locations.

Very pretty bridge. Was completed in 1750 and operation until 1939. You're not allowed to climb on top of the bridge for those that are wondering because it's too tall and too dangerous. Very cool to look at thou and great photo op. There's free street parking next to it too.

An amazing Roman acritecture which anyone can visit at any time? I have started from here my nature trail though the salt lake. Is worth visiting as it doesn't take a lot of time to admire a few of the Roman acritecture in Larnaca?

Take a walk along the scenic route of the salt lake, and check out the aquaduct. Although small compared to some historical sites, there is just a special feeling when looking and being at this place. If you can, visit during the evening too, as the lighting can make for some nice pics.
