We waited over an hour for the food, which would have been fine if the people were friendly. The waitress slammed our menus down, and the attitude continued throughout the meal. I tried to chalk it up to her being busy, but she was kind to everyone else. I am not sure what we did differently (we weren’t a big party and tried not to be an impatient bunch). I was hoping the food would be worth it, mine was not. Someone else in my group really liked her omelet though. Not worth the stop tbh.

Great breakfast consistant hours wonderful service and the best bloody marry ever. I make it a point to go there when hunting and on vacation. They even had children’s medicine for my little guy

I have stopped in many times and bought fishing flies Etc. Today was the first time I bought a meal to go chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, Texas toast and a side salad. The food was really good I think the chicken fried steak may have been the best chicken fried steak I've ever had, great care was put into packing the food for the travel. they're always very friendly and helpful at the shopping bag.

Friendly folks operate this place great food in restaurant good place for homemade desserts. Reasonable price. Shop has good variety of hard to find things . Fishing gear bait, decorations for yard to home, jewelry clothing & collectables. Fun to watch hummingbirds zipping around. And they have wheelchair accessable ramp.

We were staying at a nearby vacation rental cabin, and had lunch at the Shopping Bag in Stonewall. The breakfast burrito is amazing. It's huge, and covered with red or green chili sauce. Yum. We also got an elk cheeseburger, which I liked. Wasn't sure what to expect -- it wasn't as gamey as some venison I've had. They were pretty busy the afternoon we visited, and had to wait a bit for a table, but it was worth it. Stop by if you're in Stonewall.

We went for lunch, the food was very good but it wasn't until we got home that we realized the cashier charged us for someone else's lunch. Way more costly than it should have been. Sad, we gave her our ticket, it was correct because I read it. But the receipt I got was for a larger order that cost more, and that's what we were charged. I thought it was high, so I checked when I got home.

Stayed at the Stonewall Lodge and RV but had breakfast here and it was good.

I drive 1100 miles to eat the elk nachos. This most recent trip the owner remembered me. Really great home town feel. It's not unusual to see wildlife out the window while you eat. The dessert (if you have enough room) is home made. If I could rate more stars I would!!!!!!

It's a very awesome place in the mountains you can go look at hiking exploring, take pictures, beautiful scenery friendly people I would recommend
