we ate there last evening, I got the chicken pasta and my son got the pecan encrusted salmon. Both were absolutely delicious. also we got deep fried pickles as an appetizer and they were the best I've ever had. The service was wonderful as well. the manager (who is from Louisiana) stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. So thoughtful. We'll definitely be return customers!! A++

Fish and chips were excellent, not overcooked, fries seasoned perfectly. His beer was an IPA and met expectations. Valerie and Daniel were very attentive. I'm a wuss with beer and his suggestion for wheat beer with an orange slice was super - and he brought me a couple samples before I chose. I had the chicken lasagna, also very good and filling! Finished with a creme brulee which was good.

We are passing through town & decided to stop in. Thank goodness for the open sign on the building otherwise I wouldn't have looked twice. The atmosphere is relaxing and dimmed, loved the decor and layout. Daniel was our bartender today and we are satisfied with the experience. Great conversation, speedy service and not to mention handsome (for the ladies😉). We ordered two bowls of soup, the hatch Chile and the feature soup was hearty beef. Both were *chef kiss*, especially the hatch chile soup omg must try if you like spicy flavor. I wouldn't get bored eating that everyday. I tried the fish and chips and felt like I was disrespecting Chef Ryan's skills by adding Tabasco to my fish 😣 everything was so good, I'm ready for a nap now. I also had samples of the beer and liked the German Pilsner. I would stop by again next time we are passing through town.

We ate here for a Saturday lunch and it was not busy at all. The atmosphere is nice, new, open, and would be a good place for a date. We tried the outdoor patio first but way too much road noise for me so we moved inside. Our family went and they had a standard kids menu. We had the cheese fondu and artichoke dip to start, both are good with the steak on the fondu being the star for me as very tasty and speaks well for their steak entree. They need to improve the serving utensils on the Fondu vs the flimsey wood spears that did not work well for me as I ended up with as much on my shirt as my mouth. The extra cheese sauce was great with the fries which were nice and crispy. The artichoke dip was good but not great and decent chips but nothing special. I had the green Chile stew as an entree which was OK with tender chunks of pork and potato but is very lacking in the full umami flavor, any hInt of spice, and is more soup than hearty stew. If you like the thought of green Chile with no heat or you are from the north and want to brag about having NM chile with no issues than this may be for you. The stew was also lacking any flour tortillas with it and were not available which was a first for me as I am used to eating it with tortillas vs a spoon. My wife had the Lava burger which was large and stuffed with cheese. It was a good large burger but once again lacking any heat and low on spice. The Monte Cristo was large and very cheesy and your standard artery clogging fare of fried cheese, meat, and sugar on top. The kids ate their pasta with no complaints and they had the standard crayons and paper menus so tablet to the rescue of having an adults conversation. Service was good and we enjoyed our waiter who checked on us several times though the restaurant was not busy. The October fest beer was good and the pecan Amber ale was too much on the sweet side for me but my wife, who is not a beer drinker, enjoyed it. They had several selections of martinis and other drinks which we did not try this time but would seem enjoyable for a dinner date. All in all it a nice new restaurant feel with a more upscale atmosphere and would be great for a date or group of friends and has a decent variety on the menu but is lacking any real flavor/spice other than the steak bites. I rated this five stars as was good for the area and atmosphere and giving them the benefit of the doubt as it is a 1st time lunch experience for me. They do need to work on the food flavor and pickup some spice options vs a standard upscale American pub brewery that threw some green Chile on dishes because, hey, we are in New Mexico. If they can get that down this place may be the hit of Las Cruces. If I was to go for dinner I would definitely go for the steak based on the steak bites on the fondu as excellent.

Service was excellent. Our appetizers however, were not very good at all. The fried hatch peppers were obviously frozen and refried on site. The picture shows I was able to slip the entire pepper out without damaging the coating. With that said, I also couldn't bite through the pepper it was so tough. Our main entrees were without complaint. Don't think we will make a return visit.

We had an excellent dinner! The food was on point, especially the pecan crusted salmon! The service Taylor provided was super awesome! Anthony took time to talk with us and made us feel right at home our first night in New Mexico!

Great local restaurant and brewery. Very slow at lunch so you get really good service. I typically get the fish and chips, which considering we are in the desert, are very good,as are the hush puppies and fries. The Buffalo Chicken sandwich is also a great choice. They have a nice outside patio area as well. Recommend.

Had a great overall experience with Pecan Grill. From being welcomed in and escorted to the table by one of the managers, to the guy who served us. Great atmosphere and sat outside. Thursday evening not crowded at all. Beer time. Had a Desert Stout which was phenomenal. No bitter aftertaste and went down smooth. Spot on. Would give the beer a 10. One of the best I have ever had. Had some fried peppers. Little bit of kick, great texture for the batter, crispy and were quite tasty. I'd give them a solid 9. I generally like a little more kick to them. The dip was o.k. Had the fish and chips. It had two couple hush puppies which were ok. Maybe a 7.5 is fair. There weren't many fries, but what there were, were very flavorful and some some crispness to them. Spot on. Solid 9. The fish. Could maybe do with a bit less batter, but they were cooked properly and had quite good flavor. I'd give the fish a 9 as well. Kind of small pieces, but I think the quantity was fine. Overall, a place I would certainly return to if I end up coming back through Las Cruces. **Went again on Sunday. Here's my notes. Entry this time was rather bizarre. The little blond hostess seemed to be bewildered and was somewhat off-putting. Not a people person or just not suited for this line of work. She wasn't rude, just had no idea how to handle people, unlike out last experience. We found a place to seat ourselves and she followed us to our table. Sandra, our waitress however was quite nice and took care of us, as soon as we found someone to serve us. She was very good. Again, the desert stout was great, and the fish and chips from my last review matches this time too. Very tasty. I did ask for an additional piece of dish which was $3.75, which was fine. Fries were again very yummy and had some crispness to them, but still only two hush puppies. The food and the waitress were spot on. Front of house needs some work though. This was Sunday about 2pm ish and it didn't seem busy at all. Im dropping my review to a 4 because of the girl up front though. Management needs to sort that out. Added some pictures. Please note. The fish was spot on and didn't leave a bite. I also included the beer menu and part of the menu.

Service was fun and awesome. Definitely enjoyed the ambiance and good laughs. Good was good - squash pasta is light and fresh. Dessert was a bit too sweet for my taste, but original! Definitely impressed with their house brews. :)

This place is overpriced for food. The food has potential but the specialty sliders were cooked to a krisp and the French onion soup, while passable, was $9, and at $9, it's terrible. The children's menu was super pricey, they don't do substitutions unless you pay an additional $1.50, you know, all kids love the same thing so that's practical, and it doesn't come with a drink, we're talking 7-9 dollars for kids food here... The Pecan Porter was good, the Pecan ale was ok but unmemorable. The icing on the cake was the terrible server that delivered everything after 45 minutes of waiting that was over done and not hot. Had to ask multiple times for spoons for the kids, never came back to ask how the food was, I had to ask the front desk for more ketchup so I could stomach the charcoal like sliders. This was on a night where they were not busy. I might stick with the beer here. I would never come back for the food. It could be good, but it is over priced, poorly prepared, and the service was terrible.

Beautiful restaurant. Appetizer shrimp wrapped in bacon with jalapeños delicious. Main course chicken with tequila and lime was missing the tequila and lime flavor. Great service thx Marissa. Menu too limited won't be back.

The atmosphere & decor awesome. The service was impeccable...Mara was excellent. The food was horrible. Dry, flavorless, chicken, dry pork, over fried fish. The presentation unappealing. The salads looked fresh & delicious though. Would not recommend to family or friends but maybe for brews & cocktails... Maybe
