I love the big cups of iced tea here. Tried the super nachos with brisket. They were delicious but they go soggy fast. We ordered the jumbo double meat burgers with French fries. The burgers were delicious, nice thick and juicy. The fries could have been thicker. Service was great and it wasn't overcrowded.

Pulled pork sandwich and green chili burger were good but service was not. Server didn't write down order and it was made wrong. When the check was spilt it had an additional charge on it for no reason.

Worst experience I have had at a restaurant in a long time. When we were seated we were not informed there was going to be a wait. After we ordered we were told their was only one chef so everything was delayed. We decided to wait which was a mistake. After a 1.5hr wait, being told our order was up next 3 times, being told they were out of eggs we decided to leave. They charged us about $7 for the two cups of coffee we had. This might have once been a good place but now it just runs on reputation.

We ordered burgers, the fries were soaking in oil and the hamburger patty had no flavor/seasoning just more oil inside. I'm speechless, this place according to Google, Family owned and operated since 1959 . So sad still don't know how to cook fries and burgers.

Just your average run of the mill greasy spoon type place. The service was minimal with a decent salad and green chili burger. Everything was prepped and cooked well but lacked much flavor. Will probably stop by every now and then because it's close to campus and wanting a beer.

The young man who served us was very nice. The red enchiladas were amazing and worth the 3- hour drive from Albuquerque!

Went during the breakfast lunch swap and waited an hr and a half for the food. Food was decent. Very dirty kitchen area and behind the counter! The smell of mold in the restroom was awful.

Best cheese burgers. Try with green chili. Local staple that I have enjoyed since college. Still as good as I remember.

One server for a busy restaurant in the morning is a little challenging. But I enjoyed the food. Sometimes they have a crowd and sometimes they don't so it's hard to schedule I'm sure. I had biscuits and gravy, I requested ground beef put in my gravy and the accommodated. Periodically I'll have a side order of sweet potato fries to share with whoever I'm with at this table

Great fan of this place. I usually get the green chili chesseburger and fries. Its always delicious, the chips and salsa is my favorite of Las Cruces. Staff is always friendly and treats you like family.

Great food - service is dependent on how busy it is - the more people there are obviously the busier the servers are - but I have noticed if you go even it's super slow its like they forget you are even there. But the food is delicious enough that I will continue to eat there! Atmosphere is a little bit loud when it is busy.

Wow, this little restaurant is great! Service was amazing, the food was astonishing and the atmosphere was super cute! We had the carne adovada burrito with two eggs, Christmas style with extra cheese. The green chili was just hot enough and the red had great flavor. Definitely wanna try this place if you haven't already done 😁

Came here on a Friday evening around 6ish for a party of three. The place was a ghost town. We sat outside, our waitress was absolutely lovely, no complaints about her. But the tables outside were dusty, rusted and just dirty, the hanging lights looked like they hadn't been changed in years. The menus were really faded. We had 2 green Chile burgers, and one taco plate. My sister was going to get onion rings with her burger but the waitress was honest and said they weren't great and they came out of a frozen box so my sister got fries instead. The burgers were so spicy, buns were soggy, and the fries were wilted and soft, which tells me they've been sitting around for a while or they weren't fried properly. My tacos were over fried, and the queso I got on them had green Chile in it, so I was unable to eat all my tacos due to the intense spice level. Overall the experience was awful and I would not come back unless I absolutely had to. Just bland and lazy food.

This was my first visit since my return back to Cruces. My friends and I use to frequent this place back in 1996. This was the place to eat. The food was fantastic. Well now, I'm not sure I'll be going back. My brother and I went today, 5/10/23. Was not pleased with our lunch. I had 3 tacos only, presentation looked good but left me not wanting to eat after the first taco. The meat was hot, but the homemade taco shells were cold. The ground beef was a lower grade and mixed what seemed like mashed potatoes. The taste was more like potted meat. The salsa was blah, not much flavor to it. My brothers green chile burger seemed well, but he would not consider it the "best burger in town". Also lower grade meat, fries were homemade but were burnt due to the fries not being blanched before cooking them. Burger had tremondous heaping of mustard which made the burger taste horrible. Service was ok, but not the best. I can't give it a five star rating, but gave then what I thought was fair. I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon

The only restaurant in town that mimics my mom's enchiladas that I can no longer enjoy because she passed away in 2019. I can't even mimic them as much. The rest of my Xmas combination plate was amazing also. Will definitely be returning.

I came here with my wife. The place was dead except for 7 other people. The food was good, I had a breakfast burrito and my wife had green enchiladas. They were quick with the food, it was hot and fresh.

Update...tried again today...sat for 30 minutes..no drink order no menus,...left. Sad. Used to like this place. Have been a regular customer for 18 months. Last 3-4 visits the service has been really slow...today we left after 20 minutes waiting for sever to take our drink order..average crowd so they weren't slammed busy. Visits b4 that they were out of something, no chips, no lettuce, no queso, no coke etc. So we'll avoid this place for a few months. Went to Lucy's on north valley- small old type diner. It was great.

Just looking for a quick lunch and stopped here. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the burger was amazing. Will definitely return. Recommended

Good dinner food. Fairly reasonable prices. Service was a bit slow, but food was made to order and hot when delivered.

This place makes you feel at home when your not. Very friendly. My choice is the green enchiladas. Plus the salsa is something your going to want to take home and snack on.

I arrived early afternoon and was greeted by someone yelling 'sit anywhere!' I am not exaggerating when I say every single table in the restaurant was dirty. Not a good first impression but OK. I sat at a dirty table until someone came and wiped it off. Service was prompt and I ordered a sandwich with fries and a drink. Food was delivered quickly by the waitress who asked if there would be anything else. I reminded her of the drink. The patty melt was hot, the meat was cooked well. However it had a melted slice of American cheese and was served on grilled Texas toast. That's not a patty melt. The fries were cold and limp and had obviously been sitting around quite a while. There are many better choices in Las Cruces.

There were mixed reviews but we decided to try it anyways. My husband loved the Outlaw burger with BBQ sauce on it. The queso definitely had a zing to it but it was yummy. Our waitress was super sweet and the atmosphere was very laid back but fun.

We went for taco Tuesday here. The meat in the tacos was pure salt no taste of beef and the Guacamole the same way couldn’t even tell it was made with avocado just pure salt!

Service was great, but eggs were undercooked and burrito tortilla was partly very hard. The hash browns were really good 😀

Waitress was very good! Ordered the wuevos rancheros. Chili was good but the 2 eggs were cooked totally different? Ruined the meal for me.

Updated review: a year later and Dick’s still isn’t that good, in fact, it was a bit worse on my latest visit. Service was horrible, food so so at best and the place just had a tired feel to it. My combo plate was just so-so and it didn't have the same cool vibe as it used to. I'll still go there for my green chile cheeseburger, but for Mexican food, there are a lot of other places nearby that are better.
