I am very happy to live near such a beautiful public botanical garden. I go to walk around and take pictures to draw from. I feel so lucky to be able to learn from such bosses of agriculture and specifically how things work well here. Now gardening is something I do almost every day. I am not great at it in any capacity, but I think I really am learning!

Absolutely beautiful, what a gem! The garden was so inspiring and peaceful and the Chiles made my mouth water. They were so beautiful. Thank you NMSU for sharing nature's wonders.

UPDATE: OPEN AGAIN. This is our only botanical garden. It has a gazebo and some benches, two picnic tables and many plants. I have seen quite a few people having engagement photo shoots there. The chile experimental gardens are next to it.

The park is nice but rather small. There is a gazebo in the back for taking pictures

It's a nice garden to just hang out and read a book/chill at. They have beautiful irises, wine grapes, and other plants. Pretty small lot. But probably the only greenery you might see in Cruces. Free parking.

I haven't been here when everything is growing and blooming, so I will return. It was nice and peaceful, but the there were no colors to enjoy and the pond and waterfall were not running.

I love to go to this garden, I’ve taken many pictures here, from my high school graduation to birthday pictures. It’s beautiful and here’s even a gazebo to add to the pictures.

Interesting place to go for seeing every type of chili pepper plants! Probably nice to have a little tour if possible, we went in a little to late. But you can watch the you tube one which is very informative.

Nice garden. Nice place to go and gather your thoughts if you enjoy nature. It's small but enjoyable, and it's free.

👍 Very shady and cool on these hot summer days, a little dirty with scattered garbage but overall very nice and relaxing! And the pickle all courts make for a busy morning!

👍 Didn't use much of the facilities (nice playgrounds)there but several men were hanging around. The river was nice and full and fast flowing(a rare sight). We were glad bathrooms were available. Also a huge tree limb cracked and fell while we were there. Glad no one happened to be under it.
