The food and service were both fantastic today. I got the California skillet with wheat toast. Everything tasted really fresh. My over medium eggs were cooked perfectly, and the toast was delicious. The waitress was attentive and our food came out quickly. Update: No changes. The waitress was super friendly and nice and the food was great 👍

I was seated and waited on promptly. Food was brought out hot, this is especially important with pancakes. My server was very timely and pleasant. I wish I could name her.

Outstanding food! Outstanding service! Little bit of a traffic challenge if you are not familiar with the area but well worth the effort!

We placed an order for Thanksgiving pies the Friday before Thanksgiving. We picked them up the day before Thanksgiving like they stated. The girl in the front who was handling the pie orders was VERY rude. We had asked the pies to be cut. The young lady at that cashed us out said yes of course we can slice the pies and if no one else will slice them for you I'll do it. So we go to the pie station and I asked if the pies were sliced? And she rudely responded we don't cut them. I would have asked the only nice employee cashing everyone out but she was busy. I understand the employees have probably had a long day from dealing with a lot of people but that doesn't give you a pass to be rude.

Walked in at 520pm on a Saturday and we were immediately seated and had drinks and orders taken. We ordered sandwiches and figured we would eat and get back on the road fairly quickly because it wasn't overly buisness and a lot.of staff. We received our crispy chicken sandwich and our grilled cheese sandwich w/ tomato soup at 612 pm. My husband enjoyed his chicken sandwich, but my grilled cheese disappointed. It had 1 slice of cheese and 2 slices of tomato with an unexpected addition of a 2 inch long hair. My soup was literally cold to touch. No cool or warm because it sat for a few minutes, but refrigerator cold. The manager removed the grilled cheese and soup from our bill for us after I said not to remake it because we waited almost an hour for that one. While servers are friendly over all quality of food and service is lacking. I do not see us returning and time in the near future.

Good food, nice place to take breakfast. The machaca con huevo is delicious, skip the crepes. Our waitress was a little distracted. They have light options too!

We were able to order standard breakfast fare. Upscale Dennys. I couldn’t get an ingredients list because of food allergies for even one pie which means I can’t eat any of them. Our server was adequate but had fingernails so long that I was concerned that my food was possibly at risk for contamination.

We went for "Free pie Thursday." The fries and onion rings were cold, not even lukewarm. Patty melt was good. The grilled chicken sandwich lacked seasoning and had a cheap bun. Coconut cream pie was good. The French silk pie was very sweet and didn't taste like chocolate. The manager was nice and professional and brought us fresh, hot fries and onion rings. She let me change my chocolate pie for cherry. I enjoyed the cherry pie. I will give them another try and order breakfast.

Excellent service! Restaurant was full and we received timely service. Entire staff was helpful and you got the sense they really wanted to be there. Must have a wonderful manager. The coffee is delish! From a local roaster.

Service was great and prompt. I had the turkey platter and pumpkin pie. The staff was attentive and friendly. I was pleased with my overall experience. I think we will all miss Village inn when they are gone.

This place is a quintessential diner. The food, service, and atmosphere are an Everytown, USA experience. I had the country fried steak with salad and gravy-covered mash potatoes. It was everything I expected it to be. I finished off with a pumpkin pie which I didn't care for but tried the cherry and it was good. If you go there expecting decent food at decent prices you won't be disappointed.

Loved the food, service, and cool retro ambiance here. Great menu selection and fabulous breakfasts. The only drawback was that it took a while for the food to come out...but in the end, it was well worth it!

All good. Family across from us. Two children under 3-years old. Running around the tables & telling. I had to turn off my Hearing device. (New generation)My opinion. They should have been in Youth chairs. OMG!!

One of the only places to get Eggs Benedict in Las Cruces!! Service was fast and outstanding. Great selection of food choices. There is something for everyone. Incredible home made pies....so many choices!! Only reason I did not give five stars is the eggs were overcooked on both my wife and my eggs Benedict. Will go back and give them a second chance. The other food and employees are that good. Moderate pricing....good value.

Food and Mimosas were great. Service was subpar, we got our plates and our waitress immediately said “Here’s the ticket whenever you’re ready” we felt so rushed to leave, I hadn’t even ordered Dessert yet - AT A PIE PLACE, and wanted a beer after my mimosa. Will be returning, but if I get my ticket before I’m done w my food I am not going to be happy. Edit: Went again and server wasn’t very familiar with the menu and made a few mistakes, but he was very nice and fixed those mistakes. He seemed new so it was fine.

The waitress who brought our food gave the food to the wrong person at the table says if you need anything else let me know and took off before we could say anything. I had to walk across the room to get a ketchup bottle because she disappeared. My husband's onion rings were burnt and his chicken fried steak was real dry we tried telling our original waitress that took our order and she took off too. When we paid at the register we tried telling the manager but she got rude and ignored us

I am quite impressed that Village Inn in New Mexico was clever enough to include a couple of truly decent Mexican options on their menu. Every time I go, I head straight for the Mexican menu items. Their Huevos Rancheros and Breakfast Enchiladas are surprisingly satisfying... and coffee just keeps on coming! Finally, I want to call out the observant young man who was our excellent server today...but, alas, I don't remember his name!!! He was attentive, friendly, and patient and deserved a much bigger tip than my friend left for him. I hope to make it up to him next time we visit!!!

A new young man helped us and I could tell he was trying very hard and doing his best ,he was very polite. My husband ordered a Hot Chocolate with no whipped cream , the young man did bring us our drinks , but the chocolate looked like dirty water. There was really hardly any chocolate and about a little bit above half full. I noticed it right away and my husband asked him to please put more chocolate in it. The young man really tried to help, but he went and told his manager what happened and the mangers response was , " that is the way it came out and the way it was and there was nothing he or she was going to do about it " That was very unprofessional and not the answer a customer is looking for. It does not take anything away from anyone to open another package and added to the hot water. The young man was so nervous to give us the response, he offered to add chocolate syrup to it. I know he meant well. He was doing his very best . I feel sorry for him , that cost him a repeated customer. The manager needs to take customer satisfaction and service lessons.

Village Inn off E. Lohman on N. Telshor is always a great place to eat. Fresh and well prepared dishes that will keep you coming back, again and again. Such deliciously prepared foods are served with the best of service, always with a smile 😊. You'll never be disappointed.

I had written an unflattering review in the past. My wife and I tried again recently and were very pleased with every aspect of the under new management Village inn. We ordered early lunch and loved it. Customer service was super.

Going late at night you would think the service would be better. The server was rude and had no smile. When the food came she pushed it across the table as if it was a bar. She didn't come around as much as she should have. She did come around however when a server that was taking care of another table overheard us talk about the service and how rude she was. When the server overheard we would be tipping high our server came back around with a smile on her face. Ugh people learn to appreciate that u have a job. I have been a server before and no matter what I always had a smile on my face and gave the best service possible.

Our server was great and kept checking with us for coffee and water. The skillet plate could of been better. Specifically the potatoes were not very fresh. At best the plate is a generous 3 star rating.

Went after work with my family. We have always had excellent service except yesterday. They seated us and took our order, they forgot to bring my wife her drink, when we asked for it again they said they would bring it to her and never did. They brought us our order and forgot half of it and when asked for the rest of it they said they would be right back as well as bring condiments we requested. We waited for almost an hour until we got fed up and never received the requested items. They saw us and would make gestures for them to come and they would completely ignore us. My wife went to go pay and told the manager what had happened and all she said was sorry and didn't even bother trying to make it right. I am truly disappointed with their service.

They were extremely busy but we were seated as soon as we walked in. We got our drinks right away. Despite them being busy our food arrived quickly. Our waitress was very good and continued to check on us during our stay.

I have been eating at this same place for years and they treat my family like family. Management is very nice and always checks on our needs and even stops by to see how our day is going. They staff is kind and they go out of their way to get extra things even when it is extra busy and they never fuss about the extra work. I thank all of the workers there. Thank you for always welcoming us with open arms and smiling faces no matter what day it is.

It has been a long time since we had eaten here. The waitress seemed new but was knowledgeable and was attentive. The kitchen took forever for the food. We arrived right before 5 p.m. and was only two other tables which arrived after us. Ordered eggs scrambled they were sunny side up, daughter ordered steak MR came out MW. Wife's salad had a hair in it. Manager was concerned and took care of it. We all ordered a piece of pie to take home. I would put this visit as an odd one. Have always had good service here in the past.

Food is just okay. Skimpy portions. Needs longer cooking times. Waitstaff doesn't seem to understand the basics of the job, like refilling beverages. I wish I liked it better. Gave it three tries and won't choose it again. Guest also did not like flour tortillas with huevos rancheros instead of corn tortillas, which are traditional. I didn't feel welcome there. I like to tip well, to friendly staff, but tip just 20% to uncaring or snotty staff.
