Avoid 4th floor rooms- no spare outlets. Noisy disco across street till after midnight. Pool ok, across from decent beach. Breakfast buffer ok. Nothing bad, nothing Great

I will be back and back again to this hotel! Service: Excellent! At the restaurant everyone is nice, prompt, go out of their way to take care of you. Front desk took care of EVERYTHING! It's like we had our own personal assistant. Rooms: We got upgraded to the two bedroom ocean front suite with a second floor balcony. Room also had a large terraza with a hammock and a breeze for days. Restaurant: Delicious food at amazing prices. Great drinks. Great servers and bartenders. Can't wait to go back.

I had hoped to spend a relaxing holiday at Hotel Alisei. To my big disappointment, there‘s a very noisy beach bar next to the hotel that plays loud house music until 2 in the morning. No chance to sleep - I won’t come back.

A very zen hotel resort. Well situated along the beach in Las Terrenas and walking distance to main restaurants and shops. Has a nice spa on site, a relaxing pool day and night with a swim up bar, and comfortable apt style suites. They offer many amenities and accommodations and one of my favorites was the delicious complimentary breakfast! I also really enjoyed the beach access with lounge chairs. We also benefited from accommodating late check out so that we could participate in a local event.

Alisei is the perfect balance between extended stay comfort and convenience, without that typical “resort lockdown” feeling of being closed off from the town. At Alisei you’ll be very close to the center of town, and you’ll have everything you need close by, including the beautiful beaches of Las Terrenas. You could go by foot, but I recommend renting a 4x4/Quad to get around. They have parking at the hotel which is very convenient. All in all, room was great, food was delicious and the staff go above and beyond and welcome you with a smile. 5 stars.

Great stay, lovely grounds, pet-friendly and very clean units. Swim-up bar is wonderful and bartender was very sweet too! I would highly recommend for singles, couples, or families.

The best hotel I’ve ever been in Las Terrenas. Excellent staff, the beach is 1 minute way walking distance, great internet to work remote as needed and breakfast included. I wish I could afford to live here. ❤️❤️

Nicely appointed rooms with good AC, pool, grounds and great staff. Only stayed 1 night but considering a long term return. Well worth it for your Las Terrenas visit. Highly recommend.

I have been reticent to write a review of Hotel Alisei for some time mostly because I have loved that place and spent many a great visits there. However, last visit, in March 2022, I was saddened by the addition of the beach bar. What used to be a nice quiet beach/resort is now marred by having a beach bar with loud music. Some people might think this is great, but to me, I valued the serenity of going there. There are so many resorts with loud music, they are a dime a dozen. We used to marvel about how great the beach was there as it was so serene - in today's noisy world, this was what we loved. Last time we stayed, the music was so vibrating, that it rocked our room, even during the day and even if it wasn't that loud. The room and porch literally vibrated so much that we could record it on our phones. On certain nights, it was simply unbearable and made me feel like I was in Cancun. I'm not criticizing them for what they are doing, as business owners, that is their right. However, I very very sadly won't be staying there again. My husband and I are bummed, as we had such great vacations there before that time. We were sort of confused as the demographic of people who stay at the hotel don't match the beach bar patrons. So - I guess they need to decide who they are serving. If the beach bar were ever to close at night - I would be there again in a heartbeat. It's a beautiful place with beautiful landscaping - the rooms aren't high end, but they have a nice cozy vibe. The staff is warm and welcoming, and we always loved the breakfast at the main restaurant. Best of luck to Hotel Alise - I am sorry to leave a negative review, but I wish them the best.

Liked the place, nice pool, and set up. But too many animals on the property cats and dogs. Also my friends room was broken into, someone got into 2 rooms and one of those was my friend's room. The administration was like they will replace alll that was lost. But it was pure lies

As someone else said in the reference, this hotel is perfect fit if you are looking for something in between big hotel resort and airbnb. It’s maybe a bit overpriced but has everything you need including - pool, all the kitchen tools in the apartment, drinkable water in the room and very good room service. The hotel is well located very close to the beach. Which means on the other side you can hear music from beach bar when there’s a disco.. What I didn’t like the most was the service of receptionists. We asked about excursions they offer and the offered price was way too much, of 50 USD/person higher than the price of all the agencies in town!! We kindly refused and came to our room where we received immediate call from reception offering suddenly the same trip 30 USD cheaper! But we didn’t take this opportunity neither. So my advice is, don’t take any excursions directly in the hotel! Try agencies directly in town as there is plenty of them and you save a lot of money!!

A bit of you get what you pay for but also an unfortunate and very unexpected experience. Overall I was just super disappointed and couldn’t wait to leave towards the end of my trip. There were ants everywhere and it got progressively worse. By the last day they were on the bathroom towels and making their way onto the bed. Nothing compared to our final night being welcomed by 3 roaches in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom it was the strangest set up I have ever seen. The shower is right on top of the toilet so it just creates a mess and everything gets wet. Basically forced to mop after every use. The bar and restaurant staff were superb and provided great service, but the front desk eh not so much. Agree with other reviewers the noisy beach bar on the weekends does make it difficult to rest up and go to bed early. Complimentary breakfast was also not my favorite. Think it’s worth it to just increase your budget and stay somewhere else in the area.

Relaxing, laybacked place. Good for families and for couples looking for quiet stay. The beach front bar is very cure and a nice lunch, dinner or drinks.

Nice hotel, really nice pool. We were booked into a twin (which never existed) and when we showed up we were charged a higher rate for one night. Told us we could use the pool as guests, and after ordering cocktails they refused to give us towels 😳 The restaurant was intolerably slow.

Nice place to relax and have a good time. I was only here for the spa. The owner, Imke took special good care of us and arranged everything for us promptly even though we didnt have a reservation.

LOVE this place. Their spa is wonderful. I use their waxing service which uses home crafted natural sugar wax! Mani and pedis are also lovely on the covered terrace next to the turtle pond.

Nice beach bar working late. Mojito in the night sitting on deck chair listening waves... Mmmm, delicious:) Hotel restaurant is also good. Seafood was very nice, steak ordered as medium rare was exactly medium rare so my special thanks to the cook.
