Wow! This was our first time staying in downtown and we loved our hotel! It was very clean and the staff was awesome! Everyone from the valet, front desk, housekeeping, bartenders and waitresses. We had a very pleasant stay. We even got a great free upgrade of our room on the top floor with an amazing view! We didn’t want to leave our room. Now that we found a great hotel in downtown Vegas, we can’t wait to come back! Thank you for a very nice getaway. It was badly needed!

It's a decent hotel, but don't think I'll stay here again . Definitely would have loved a tub but couldn't even get a shower with a door on it, more like a half glass and water would get on floors which caused a nasty fall I had that really messed up my little Vegas getaway. No fridge in the room for my medicine and wanted to charge me $15 a day that Golden Nugget has no problem supplying with no charge . Also no coffee maker, which would be my first hotel experience with no coffee maker and had to go down 20 floors and a long walk just for a cup of coffee. Everything seemed so inconvenient at this place . Definitely will try to do more research on a next stay in Vegas . Maybe not such a bad place if you just wanting to crash for the night, but definitely not accommodating for a simple and relaxing get away . Don't think I ever left review on Golden Nugget and can't remember if it had coffee in the room but they did have decent size tubs that were nice and a fridge at no charge if you want brought to the room . I think the Downtown Grand would have to make some changes before I decide to go back . I think I gambled enough money to be able to have a more relaxing stay.

I've been to Vegas a dozen times. This was a terrific experience. It's not a high end room with a whirpool like you'd find at the Cosmopolitan, but it's nice to get out of a ride share and be in your room in less than 5 minutes. Location is great, right by lots of food options, close to Fremont. Rooms are like a normal hotel. Pretty nice for the price. Includes complimentary breakfast, which was a nice touch. Highly recommend for the price. Would definitely come again.

ABSOLUTELY TOP NOTCH. Despite booking through a third-party provider, I was given a complementary upgrade, and they had generously accommodated all of our needs and requests!!! Andrea at the front desk was simply amazing. While their casino killed me, a mid-november noon-time dip in the year-round pool was actually quite refreshing and enjoyable! Had been given a corner studio in the Gallery Tower. Great view, and a larger room. Very happy with the accomodations! Definitely has now become my go-to lodging (now replacing The Four Queens) for my Downtown/Fremont Street adventures!!!

My partner and I had the absolute best stay here! I was a little skeptical going in because of the location, but the staff and facility exceeded my expectation. We had a suite in the gallery tower, and it was gorgeous! The room was massive, and had a beautiful view overlooking the Mob Museum. It was clean, and very spacious! The bed was extremely comfortable and provided us with the best nights sleep. There is a lovely pool, I only wish it was open later. The gym facility is 24 hours and has all the essentials. I was very surprised by the quality of food and coffee in the restaurant down stairs!! The lattes were so good we went back for seconds later, and not to mention the price is very reasonable in the restaurant! I'm also a fan of the location for being close to Freemont, but off the beaten path so you can escape the sounds and crowds. We will definitely be staying here again!

Great location. A block away from the center of Fremont St Experience stage. Close enough to walk to everything. Faraway enough to not hear everything. We felt safe exploring the area at all times. Lots of places to eat and drink across the street and a nice restaurant in the casino. The casino is the perfect size too. The rooftop pool is amazing! Spent a whole morning there. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Stayed in the Grand Tower 3 nights. Room was spacious. The few negatives: the mattress was firm as hell, and there's no fridge or microwave, but after a long day/night of walking, eating, and drinking out, it wasn't a deal breaker. Plus most resorts don't offer that anyway. Would I stay again? Yes, definitely!

I don't see what all the hype is about this place? The downtown Grand is a step up from the plaza but not much. They charge you $15 a day for a fridge because there's not one in my room, I get a shower with a half door on it and I only got two towels and two pillows for a three-night stay. Stayed in the gallery with a pool view. Nice view, But if you If you want sleep don't get these rooms they are not soundproof and you can hear all the pull music till 1 am. The dollar blackjack was fun but all the dealers have got to be on the spectrum somewhere.

Stayed here with the wife for our anniversary weekend celebration. Really enjoyed our stay here. We were able to stay in the new tower just by asking. New modern rooms and great air conditioner. Was close to all the Freemont street fun. Would stay here again if needed.

We were very excited to go visit downtown Vegas for the first trip in a long while. Everything about the downtown grand led to a great experience. I understand during Covid they are going to be restrictions but they handled it very well. Wonderful employees!

This hotel was great! I loved the location. We were close to the strip, but far enough away to get good sleep. The rooms were very nice and comfy. The staff was very friendly and the hotel decor was stunning. I really loved my stay here! My only complaint is the elevator in the parking garage. I'm pretty sure there was urine on the floor as well as trash everywhere.

This is a great hotel where the service is great. This hotel had two towers, I stayed in the casino tower. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had two face bowls, one in the bathroom and one outside of the bathroom. The only thing that I missed was having a mini fridge and microwave. Doing my travels I have noticed that is the hotel has at restaurant inside of it then some if not all of the rooms do not have a microwave and mini refrigerator. Other than that I love the location because it was so close to Fremont Street where there is always music and entertainment plus there are restaurants nearby, stores and so much more. The strip has plenty of hotel but the downtown area is a great location to stay if you ever in Vegas and this hotel is a very nice hotel which also has the casino inside.

It wasn't a terrible hotel for being on the cheaper side and off the strip. The room noise really varies based on what room you get and your overall tolerance. Could you hear the party outside? Sure. However, I've stayed at other properties where it's louder. It wasn't enough to stop me from sleeping. We stayed Tuesday-Saturday, and it was noticeable how the service at the hotel changes based on the day of week. Tuesday and Wednesday there was pretty much 0 beverage service during gambling, Thursday it picked up, and Friday they were going around plentiful. Keep that in mind as you debate days. The casino is smaller, but overall less crowded, which was preferred. The pool area was nice. It was too hot out (mid 70s) so it wasn't overcrowded and we didn't need to fight for a spot. Parking was across a small lot. It wasn't overly inconvenient and I never felt unsafe. Overall, this hotel did its job for our trip. Will I stay again? Probably not. Not because of anything negative, just not enough positive to outweigh trying out a new hotel.

The Grand is a pretty good place to stay. The staff is awesome! The food and the coffee is above average. The rooms in the old tower are dated and could be better maintained. My room was clean but the shower head was very lose and it had water build up on it. Overall it was a good stay for the price. If you do plan on spending much time on the strip then get a room over there. The Uber cost adds up quick when going back and forth.

I want to start off saying. Upon walking in this hotel.... the greeting was Amazing!!! So my family and I were automatically excited! The manager and the young lady who checked us in made us feel so welcome. The location is awesome so driving places for us was not an issue! So I will be returning for my next stay! Thank you so much for making my first time in Las Vegas great!

Pool is closed at 4pm??! That’s a joke. You have to pay $33 “resort fee” in Vegas, and you cannot even enjoy the pool!

We have stayed here a few times. The only good part of staying here is the valet. I'm serious. No other redeeming quality. Rooms are very gross and dirty. If you want to be grossed out, bring a black light. You'll never stay here again. Whoever owns this place doesn't care about the quality of your stay. So if ownership doesn't care guess what, management certainly doesn't care. If I had to guess I'd bet the age of the manager of this hotel is between 28 and 35. Why do I say that? Because he or she doesn't know what they are doing. They probably were a business major at Devry University. They have no real world experience. And I would bet they wouldn't stay at this hotel if they had to. They are fully aware that the Downtown Grand is a joke. The sidewalk out front is cleaner than the hotel. I could go on about the individual problems and how it's dumb that the pool is only open until 4pm daily or that the employees and managers at the pool are incompetent lazy losers but I will end it with this, don't stay here. There are so many other places in Las Vegas to stay and that want your business. The Grand is a dumpster fire.

Had a really hard day and was looking forward to a hot shower, and a nice room. Actually was excited, thinking that this place would be a treat from where I was currently booked at. -Paper thin blankets. Currently using our sleeping bags in bed for warmth. Not a very responsive thermostat. -No hot showers. They literally set the temp to the state of Nevada’s hot hand washing temp of 100 F. It’s not very hot. Anti-scalding law is 120F. They’ll tell you they don’t want you to get burned but I think they can spare a few degrees. What’s the problem with letting it go to 103 or 104? That’s nothing. -What room you think you ordered online will most likely not be what you receive from what guest services had said. They also like to throw in the fact that if you’ve ordered through third party, that’s it especially your fault for taking that risk. Especially through their own website. Which was lastly weird to hear. No apologies, nothing compassionate to offer. Had to talk to a manager for a room switch. Of which will basically be pointless since, like the other front desk person had stated, “will be the same room, but worse.” Get me out of here. To think that the motel I was at before was a downgrade. Super disappointed. At least they had hot showers and wonderful customer service.

Nice hotel, clean rooms and good decor. The staff is friendly and the amenities look good. Self parking is across the street and a decent walk to the lobby entrance. Self parking reviews are really bad for this place, but didn't seem as bad as it was made out to be. Still didn't feel safe to leave my car there so I paid for the $20 overnight valet. Now for the bad part of the review.... I now know why they have white noise machines in all the rooms even though they do not help the situation. We were getting ready to go out for the evening and could hear really loud bass music outside. It was coming from a stage on Fremont Street. This was around 6-7pm. We got back to the room and the rave concert was still going on. Unable to sleep I ended up calling the front desk and asked when it would stop and was told around 2am. What?!? Obviously this is not something they are going to disclose when you book the room and by no means their fault for the late night rave down the street, but it was one of the worst nights stay in Vegas. When the music finally stopped and we got some sleep the beds were very comfortable. Will not stay here again and cannot recommend.

I’ve been stay with Downtown Grad Hotel for a while now when coming to Las Vegas, Fremont street and I have to say that always my experience was outstanding. Clean room, most of them renewed in the last years, excellent casino experience, great food, perfect location (lots of things to do around). Summer time the pool is great and when they have DJ the music adds a nice vibe to it. Last trip on Apr 30, 2023 the DJ were great and our pool server Tiana was amazing. Thank you!

***If you like taking cold showers this is the place for you ***. Had a 3 night stay booked this past weekend. They were running a buy 2 nights get one free deal. My friends stayed on the side of the hotel above the loud bar others have mentioned and had their window vibrating all night. I stayed on the side facing the parking garage. Noise was kinda bad, but wasn’t too much for me. What was an issue, was the fact they ran out of hot water at 2am. I called the front desk, they said they would send up an “engineer”. I waited 20 mins and just called back down and gave up on it and took a cold shower. Never until now have I stayed in a place that ran out of hot water. Thankfully my friends wanted to move hotels due to their experience, so we canceled the other nights. Since it was 3 nights for two, I definitely got stiffed on the refund of the overall stay. They didn’t charge for the second night and supposedly refunded the resort fee (I have yet to see any refund). I was charged $196 for a hotel stay with a cold shower 😀. I will give them that the rooms were updated and seemed clean enough.

We have stayed here before but this time the rooms cleanliness was not up to its normal standards. Nothing worse than someone else’s hair on the floor, in the shower and on the clean towels 😞👎🏼

This review is specific to the new Gallery Tower, Freedom Beat, and the casino floor. The King suite (3779) is huge but empty. And the walls are so thin you can hear EVERYTHING going in the front room of the suite and above your head. The bathroom is a total joke! There is no shower door or curtain therefore water will flood the floor, count on it. Winters are cold in Vegas and without a something holding in heat you will freeze in there. Turn the heat way up first! Other guests mentioned this as well in the only working elevator. Most of our trip, 2/3 elevators was broken and the 3rd hardly anyone could figure out. HINT: you can't simply tap your key card. You basically have told hold it there for a minute and keep pressing your floor until you see green. I helped it least 4 different couples at random times. The maid did a bad job even after I left good tips. Trash left sitting and standing dust on things. It was disappointing. The Freedom Beat, (reviewed separate) was pretty good. Overall most of the people in there are very friendly and helpful. Not a big fan of the pot roast sandwich. But the pot roast Benedict is pretty good. The philly is dry AF. The breakfast potatoes are really good. The casino itself is decent. No side bets on craps (fire or all-tall-small) kept me away. The machines are tight!

This is my spot to place my sports bets because it very convenient to drive up and park in front of the hotel as long as you don't take to long inside. Nice people that work there and a good place to stay if you want to stay downtown I have stayed here multiple times and I've always been happy with the modern rooms.

Definitely not the largest casino downtown, but it's size makes the gaming seem almost personally catered. From their dollar blackjack to their craps tables, the dealers are all friendly and helpful. Security is present and effective without being overbearing, and hotel staff is excellent. The rooms are modern and comfortable. I haven't worked out since active duty, so all i can tell you about their weight room is it looked clean and shiny with plenty of weights for everybody that wants to participate. Too cold for the pool but it to looked clean and inviting if it weren't for the penguins skating on it. (I can't wait for the return of summer) I would definitely recommend this establishment to friends and family for both night out of gaming and a great place to stay while visiting downtown.

Players desk was super friendly and helpful! We personally never had an issue while there but we watched security swiftly and safely respond to an altercation between guests on the casino floor. They discreetly and kindly asked a man who was clearly having some issues to move on. I felt pretty safe there which is a big deal near Fremont! The prime rib was delicious and the cheesy tater tot balls were next level yummy.

Good spot not to far from the strip (Fremont st). Pretty convenient. Has a decent pool on the 3rd level. Staff was cool, we got upgraded which was dope. The only draw back I would say was the shower space. It just needs a sliding door and it'd be "A OK"

I've stayed here several times and I appreciate the ambiance. The front desk is helpful. The rooms are cozy! Only bummer is there's no microwave or fridge in the rooms. Other than that the hotel is fantastic! The rooftop pool was relaxing and the staff was friendly. Walking distance to Fremont Street and Downtown Las Vegas Event Center.

I would absolutely stay at the downtown Grand again after my experience with them this past weekend. Our room was reasonably priced, well maintained, clean, and everything worked. The best part of my experience was my interactions with the staff. We came into town for a huge music festival and I could see that they were having to manage a lot of people who were in town to attend the same event. A lot of chaos broke out when the first day of the festival was canceled. The staff were incredibly helpful in helping me book another night so i could attend the second day. I spoke with a manager named Alex and he was great at understanding the issue and offering me reasonable solutions.

Stephen at the front desk of the hotel was AMAZING! So quick in his service, we saw him move the line quickly while checking the many guests for Life is Beautiful festival that was happening this weekend. Friendly, approachable, and super helpful… although the early check-in we requested for 11am wasn’t available at the time, he made sure we were called when our room was ready, which he guesstimated would be around 12 or 1. We received a call 12:40pm that our keys were ready and made our way back to pick up the keys. He made our check-in process so simple, easy and relaxed. Great start to our vacation!

I was so excited to stay at this hotel and casino and ended up having a very disappointing stay. The biggest disappointment was just being shrugged off by the front desk staff when I brought it up. I paid $200 for a premiere king suite on a Saturday night for my boyfriend's birthday. These are my complaints. 1. The parking garage was blocked by a car when I arrived with security just standing around trying to figure out what to do. Waited for quite a while until finally gave up and parked valet as to not miss our dinner reservations. 2. Upon checking in I mentioned we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and were offered either complimentary cookies or chocolate covered strawberries. We picked the strawberries. I thought that was awesome yet they never arrived and we never received them. 3. The thermostat in our $200 suite didn't work and it was freezing cold! 4. After mentioning all of this, I was brushed off by the woman at the front desk who acted like I made up the strawberry story because "she's the only one who can get the strawberries." There are many places to stay in Vegas and many places to spend money. I was so excited to stay here and had planned to come back and stay here again. However after this first experience, I will not stay here again and I will pick somewhere else to stay. We checked in about 5pm and our bags in the room then went to our dinner reservation and then to the comedy show at 8pm. After the show we went back up to the room just before 10pm and it was freezing. I went to adjust the thermostat to find the thermostat was completely dead and had no power to it at all. We called the front desk and asked to switch rooms possibly or something because it was freezing. They send they were sending someone up to check it but nobody came until 1:40 am!! Absolutely ridiculous! Ok, things happen. But then when I checked out and brought this up to the front desk staff I was basically told oh well. I don't care if I were given a free drink voucher but instead I was just told oh sorry about that, your deposit was released, have a nice day.

Great location near Fremont Street but not in the middle of the mix so it was perfect. April was an amazing desk clerk. She helped us out with great referrals and information. So sweet and so polite. The restaurant Freedom Beat was so good we ate there every day. Great food, good prices, ample portions, friendly staff. No need to eat any where else. Good variety on the menu. Definitely worth the stay. Just love the friendly staff everywhere. Even in the casino.

Stayed here in a gorgeous, well-appointed King Suite in the newer "Gallery Tower" part of the hotel. It was a lovely, comfortable space that was exactly what I needed, and had everything I could have asked for. The staff was incredibly helpful, and really went the extra mile to make sure I had my needs met throughout my stay, including hand-delivering a parcel to my room. I really appreciated the sensible design of the space, and found it to be an incredibly restful and comfortable place to call home for a few nights. I look forward to going back. The location is convenient; I had no trouble getting rides in short order, and it was always easy for my drivers to get me there. My one single dislike about the whole time there is something that I think might just be a part of being in Las Vegas--to get to my elevators I passed through the casino, which allows smoking indoors, which is definitely not my jam. I get that that is part of life in casinos here, but that was literally the single only unpleasant part of my 5 days' stay. Great spot and I will stay there again.

I give this place 5 stars on rooms because I’m comparing it to the other hotels on Fremont. The only hotel with nicer rooms is the Circa. The pool is also better than most of the Fremont hotels with the only golden nugget and circa having better pools. I didn’t care for the restaurants but the pizza next door at pizza rock is good. The location went from fair to good or even great. The Fremont remodeled added a food court that is on the opposite corner of the Grand. Before this the walk to Fremont was sketchy and a little dark. They redid that path to Fremont and it doesn’t feel sketchy anymore. Although the walk has always been extremely short to Fremont it’s now not a sketchy walk so it’s a 5 or 4 star location. Casino is small but looks nicer than most the Fremont hotels. The parking garage always felt sketchy but now they added locks to the doors making it feel less dangerous. I didn’t have to step over any homeless to get down the stairs this time. The garage and walk to Fremont were always my biggest issues with this hotel but both issues have been well addressed or slightly addressed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting the Fremont experience. Even the golden nugget rooms were ran down last time I stayed so I think the more modern and cleaner feeling rooms at the Grand are worth the very short walk. I wouldn’t recommend walking around alone anywhere except directly in front of the hotel or going towards Fremont.

The rooms are nice, especially considering the price. We had an upgrade to the 26th floor, which had a great view of the city. However, Fremont St is LOUD until the wee hours of the morning, so bring earplugs! The pool is nice, we would've appreciated some umbrellas for shade, rather than having to reserve a cabana just for some shade. And then $9 for a semi-cool beer at the pool isn't ideal, but it's Vegas, everything costs just a little bit more!

This is already my second time staying at this hotel! Last time we got upgraded to a suite at Gallery Tower for free. This time we got a double room at the Casino tower. I really like staying at this side of Vegas instead of the Strip as you can find more local small restaurants, bars and cafes in walking distance. It also provides free parking right around the corner. The hotel in general feels very modern and clean. The gym and the pool are nicely designed with modern touches. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. The casino has low minimum bets but no poker table. If you are a fan of poker games, you could walk over to Golden Nuggets nearby easily!

I want to make sure everyone knows that if you call booking customer service, you will be in the best hands with Lisa! She took the time and put effort into helping make my upcoming vacation even better by helping with my reservation, even helping me get a better rate. I felt like she enjoyed making my day, and as I told her on the phone, we're still 3 months away and I'm already having a better experience than I did last year. She's a 5 star employee, inspiring me to book directly through the property already for my next visit. Please treat her right and keep her around!

We were in town for the Garth Brooks residency but stayed on Fremont because of the hot, hot weather. Did the strip in July before and you can barely leave your hotel. We had a room in the tower across the street from checkin. Wish there was street access but we had to cross back over when we wanted to leave. They provide a noise machine because you can hear the music from Fremont Street if your room faces Ogden. The pool area was nice, great DJ but was bath water warm. We had 2 pillows upon arrival. We requested 2 more, they only brought 1 because they were running low. The room was clean and they provided 2 bottles of water daily as part of the resort fee.

Great room in the new tower, great price and perfect location. We didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked clean, inviting and lots of sitting room. I love how close the hotel is to Fremont Street. Free parking and free bottled water was a plus! The concierge gave us an upgraded room overlooking the pool and it was awesome!

Hotel staff are wonderful. The hotel itself has a beautiful ambiance. This is the ideal hotel for those that want to enjoy their time next to Fremont Street and enjoy the party located next to the pool. The music is so loud that you can hear and feel it in your room no matter where you're located in the hotel. The stuff was it was located was far away as possible but we could still hear it and feel it. The rooms are bare minimum so you must bring anything you need. No refrigerator.

We come to vegas often. We have tried a few other hotel but always end up at the Downtown Grand. Location is excellent. And service is amazing. We did no like our view and spoke to Linda or Lin I can’t recall her name but she was fantastically and changed our room the next day to the most amazing view! This is actually our second experience with her at check and she has been nothing but fantastic both times. On day 2 of our stay coming back from the pool I encountered a heavily intoxicated man outside our door. I called security and within literally a minute they were on our floor. We filled them in let them know he was recently at the pool with a group and seemed to be black out drunk lost. Later that night we saw the same security in the casino and followed up. They got him to his room safely. I have zero complaints. Vegas happens and people don’t put into account the dry heat, sun and alcohol is not like their home state. But this hotel treats them like humans and goes above and beyond . Pic of the amazing security team! Bobby and Brian.

I love the fact it was so close to Fremont! Easy to get around easy to get on and off the highway. We were on the 21st floor and it was such an amazing view. The pool was nice and clean. You couldn't hear the music to much it was muffled so if you had the TV on or something you can't even hear it. But they give you ear plugs if needed to sleep so the loudness doesn't bother you. They are such a great hotel very sweet people.

The entire staff there are so friendly, helpful and treat you with the utmost respect. They went above and beyond with their service and are genuine which I haven't experienced in a long time. The rooms are beautiful and clean and they deliver anything extra you might need with a smile 24/7. I will definitely be coming back to stay again!

If you like staying in the downtown area of Las Vegas this is a great option. Love that it is a block off of Fremont to help with the noise while you are in your room, but when you walk out the front door you immediately hear the music and get the vibe of Fremont. You only cross one street and you are in the blocked off area of Fremont. Location just can’t be beat. Rooms are nice and the staff is great. While the casino is not large it has great table game limits making for a lively atmosphere. We have only stayed once but will be back. Our new favorite hotel in Las Vegas. Of course we also love Fremont much more than the Strip.

Room was very clean. Bathroom had new or perfectly cleaned fixtures. The bed, a pillow top, and pillows were so comfortable. Room had central air conditioning with a digital thermostat. The AC was a little tough to balance, it worked so well it was either freezing of a bit too hot. Window covers were electric, controlled by a switch on the wall. The black out curtain worked amazing (slept in a bit too late cuz I forgot to crack them open to let a little of the morning light in). I had no issues with the room key working at any point. I also appreciated that the room key was needed to access the hotel rooms (keeping riffraff out). TV channel selection was rather decent as well with a handful of movie channels. All in all, very happy with my 3 night stay here and would recommend.

Large king size room. Nice rooftop pool with regular concerts that have an intimate atmosphere with the music artist. Valet is $9 per night if you stay at the hotel and $15 if you don't.

Quiet hotel in walking distance to the Fremont experience. Excellent service, quick check in, responsive staff. They sent me a text to let me know I can text them of I had any questions! I chose this location for the privacy. Rooms are basic but clean and quiet, depending on which side you are on. The noise from Fremont can be heard from rooms facing west and south. Gym is 24 hours and pool is open until 7pm. Complementary continental breakfast each morning of my stay. Free coffee? Yes please! Validated parking in the garage across the street. Free but filthy lot. Park near the stairs, no elevator. I hadn't issues with my vehicle there. I would choose this location again and recommend it to out of towners looking for a more quiet location away from the strip. Right across the street from the Mob Museum.

  • 5/5 vic e. 2 years ago on Google
I would argue this is the best hotel in the area. Remodeled. Nicely decorated. A short walk from Fremont Street and an even shorter walk to Hogs & Heifers (hehehe). Also, the mob museum and it's excellent "speakeasy"/bar. Amenities... Not to sure since let's be honest, you're here for Vegas not staying inside your hotel.

I recently stayed here and had a fantastic time! Super close to fremont street and bunch of casinos and museums. Great food places near by and the staff here is beyond helpful. The hotel itself is cute and artsy, I kept finding myself at awe with some of the artwork they had there. Rooms are kept clean, had no issues checking in or out, and I would most def come here again and recommend to all my loved ones

Pleasant staff and great food. A1 with cleanliness and adhering to COVID restrictions and social distancing. Machines were sanitized in between use which was quite pleasing to me. Like many other casino's they allow smoking but the air within the establishment itself was like no other. I could breathe and the cigar/cigarette smoke was not unbearable. Great ventilation.

Booked on Hotels.com same day and arrived after check in time. The hotel is in the Downtown Las Vegas area hence the name "Downtown". It came with free parking, so you would make your way to the public parking that is around the corner and then go towards the main desk. There you should get the parking pass if they hand it to you, if not you may ask for it after you pay the rest of the balance depending how many rooms you may have plus the $100 refundable deposit fee which also depends on how many rooms you may have. It's to cover any charges during your stay whether extra blankets or room service if needed. Anyways, if you cross the sky bridge, you may get a view of the pool or a view the city and terrain of the outside. Room looked nice and bathroom is nice and modern. Also bring your own toilet paper as only 2 rolls are there.

While I do agree with most reviews that this is one of the best location when staying in downtown. I was definitely not impressed by my last stay. I’ve stayed over 3 times at this hotel and this is definitely the worst room I’ve had at this location. Lamps and other furniture areas were dusty. The room looked like it hadn’t been used in weeks. I really doubt any of the dust on the lamp accumulated over night .Something about the shower head didn’t feel clean to me. The most confusing thing to me was the ceiling. It honestly look like there was finger prints or foot steps on it. There was scratches in almost every wall it appeared like someone got into a fight with the furniture or they just had really bad experience moving things around. Originally the reason I took the pictures was to say something at check out, But i didn’t. I do plan on staying here again so I hope next experience will be better.

Stayed for a long weekend. The staff at the desk were pleasant and helpful. We had a room up on the 25th floor of the Grand tower. The view was pretty cool. We could see Fremont Street from our window, including the people riding the zip line. Unfortunately, we could also hear the music from Fremont Street until it stopped around 2am. It didn't keep us awake, though. Pizza Rock across the street had good pizza, available by the slice or by the pie. The spaghetti and meatballs was rather bland. The fitness center was well-equipped. Parking was included (structure across the street). Would definitely stay there again.

Such a great experience with this hotel! The front desk service provided by April was extremely well. She accommodated us big time throughout our stay & was the most warmest, welcoming person upon our arrival! Very helpful and informative! We stayed in the newly renovated tower. Very clean, nice views. Can hear the lively music outside in the late evenings, but they do provide earplugs at the front desk. Location was great. Will be returning!

Everyone so kind and helpful. I did not want my room clean on certain days and cleaning staff went above and beyond to ensure whether i wanted towels, toiletries, etc. Room large and could clearly see mountains. I very much appreciated they placed me in an adjoining room with our 88 year old aunt. No guarantees as I booked but they made sure it happened. The location is very convenient and they have a nice casino. I would love to stay at this place again.

Overall stay was pleasant and nice. Would love it more if it has coffee machine and fridge in the room. Complimentary bottled water which was great. Hotel is minutes away from Fremont street experience and surrounding is well lit and safe to walk at night. Front desk’s April assisted us with check in and she was informative and helpful. Recommended for a slightly more budgeted stay as compared to hotels at The Strip.

Great hotel to stay in. I really recommend this hotel. Service was good and it wasn't to packed. The pool area is nice but they close it to early at 7pm. I really recommend the restaurant they are not stingy with there food and it's not pricey plus you get a big portion. As far as the hotel room they have a white noise machine that helps you for all of the music that plays outside during the night. The only thing they are missing in the rooms are a small fridge but other than that it's an awesome hotel.

My husband and I had a pleasant stay at the Downtown Grand. The location is within easy walking distance to Fremont Street, yet far enough away that the noise level at night was comfortably decreased. What stood out during our trip was the outstanding customer service given by two employees. The first was a hotel registration clerk named April. My husband has health issues and I had booked an ADA room. Unfortunately, this room did not fit his needs. The following morning we inquired about changing rooms. The hotel registration clerk, April, happily helped us in finding a room that was more suitable to his needs. From her friendly smile upon approaching the front desk to her quick and efficient ability to switch our room for better accommodations was heartwarming. She displayed truly impressive customer service. The second was Wayne at the rewards desk. When my rewards card was malfunctioning he was able to speedily fix the issue. All of this was done with a praiseworthy demeanor. Both April and Wayne sincerely helped make this a great customer experience.

It's a decent hotel. It's like any downtown Vegas hotel. You're here to have fun, not gamble? Then this place is fine. The amount of people coming in and out, you can tell it's not a bad hotel. It's Loud at night though :(, and that's newly renovated rooms. Rooms with windows that can't block noise?? I rather do main station next time.

While the location is spectacular for Fremont St. It felt extremely unsafe anywhere outside of the hotel. The rooms were fantastic and the staff was incredibly kind and professional. The rooms were clean and well maintained and we enjoyed our stay. There had been a homicide literally in the parking lot across the street and several street blocks were closed off. Marijuana smells were everywhere once you left the building. The casino downstairs had about 10% of their games operational on a Tuesday during the day so there was very little to play. And the ones that were open were instant loser. Over all though the hotel itself was a good place to stay. Just stay on your guard once you leave. Stick around for the great pool and hospitality and you will be in good shape! Thanks for a pleasant stay!

Basic dbl queen room with no fridge 😩 That overlooked... the back alley and AC units. 👎 1st time I've ever had a shower with A HALF of a door... weird. Word to the wise: Don't plan on "sharing a shower". Js 🤣 Pool bar was fair but a bit of a walk to the small pool. Bar Food was average in taste. Pool... should get a privacy screen for between the big screens and the sun bathing/pool section. Hotel has great people watching access to look down below at the bars across the street. Maybe set up some stools on the deck perimeter so people don't have to stand to watch. Elevators tend to get overlooked by housekeeping. Close and convenient to downtown and transportation. Quiet at night and modern interiors. Would go back.

Rooms are nice but so small. The location is perfect for Fremont street access. Our interactions at front desk, cafe & restaurant was just ok. Nothing exceptionally great. The pool also closes at 6 which is way too early & they closed poolside food ordering early if it wasn't busy enough.

This review is all about Stephen at the front desk. As soon as we arrived, he made us feel welcome. He took care of all of our needs and really kicked off our amazing 2022 holiday trip. The hotel is really clean, super dog friendly and brand new! This is our second time staying here. We will be back! @Stephen, if you see this, thanks so very much! See you again!

I'm less than impressed staying here. While the location was perfect I had some issues with the quality of the room and service. I got the double queen deluxe room from February 15-19. Let's just say the photos do not match the pictures in the room. The towel holder was broken and when my guest and I told the front desk and left to do activities in which they lied and said it was fixed. 2 days into our stay the shower drain got clogged up. We called the front desk multiple times and they finally sent someone to fix it. He made a mess so he left and said he would call house keeping. An hour had passed after making multiple calls to the front desk they finally sent someone to clean up the mess in our room. Once we were able to take a shower we noticed the drain was still clogged but had to leave because again we had plans. When I checked out the front desk staff said I'm all set the room has been checked already and the security deposit would be credited back to my card. No friendless, no questions about how was my stay. My Uber was set to come so I did not get a chance to speak to the manager but needless to say I will not stay here again.

Stayed here for 3 nights on my first ever trip to Vegas!! I have nothing but good things to say.... Room was nice, comfortable & clean. Hospitality staff were always friendly. Great restaurant downstairs called the Freedom Beat that had delicious breakfast every day. And when you walk outside... You're just a hop, skip and jump from the strip!! Absolutely recommend this hotel!!

I am super surprised in a good way. Staff was excellent- rooms and modern and clean and the price is superb. They even have above par dog facilities which is very unusual for Vegas. I would absolutely return and i recommend this for anyone wanting to change it up in LV.

We just had a basic double queen room and it was wonderful Super clean!! Hotel was pretty quiet considering it's busy location. We had this beautiful view of the strip. The bed and pillows were cozy and firm. There was nice huge full length mirror. The walk in shower was also big, you could fit like 6 people in there and there was plenty of towels and counter space too. There was a hairdryer, iron, ironing board, plenty of space to store your stuff, and a smart tv. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and got us checked in and out really quickly. The continental breakfast served downstairs was like $11 or you can go to a restaurant and get a fancier breakfast if you want. The gym there looks really nice actually and there was a fair amount of equipment and quite a few cardio machines in there. The best part was how easy it was to get to the party on Fremont street. It was just steps away. Oh, and the free parking is awesome!! It's right across the street from the hotel. All in all, I was satisfied and for the location the $200 we paid wasn't too bad.

Absolutely loved this place! Stayed here for one night during 4th of July weekend and I got my room in an instant. Receptionist was super nice. Casino was very lively and I really enjoyed Freedom Beat, it was open very late. The rooms were very clean and nicely sized. Got the most basic room and I was very pleased, it had a nice view. The location was great too. Close enough to walk to Fremont (one block) but far away enough that we were able to get some restful sleep.

We have stayed here at least 5 times and never had a problem. We really like the pool area and the cleanliness of the hotel itself. I dont get these other reviews. Why are you complaining about the noise from the surrounding businesses and the stage at Fremont? The noise in the surrounding area is NOT the Grand's responsibility. And its Las Vegas not a retirement community. Its going to be loud. If you are concerned about loud noises stay in Henderson, its quiet there. Anyway, the rooms are fine and most importantly they are safe. At least at the Grand you dont have to worry about crime. Google armed robbery and Rio and then complain to me about the towels. Ownership and management should be proud that they are doing a great job and kudos to them for making it through the pandemic without having to close the doors. Keep up the great work everyone!

We got a free room upgrade to a modern, spacious room that was pristine. The rooftop pool was lovely and again very sleek. However the hotel Casino is dingy and smelt of smoke so we avoided being in here. The parking lot is opposite the hotel and free for guests, however make sure to take everything of value out of your car as you do worry about the safety of the parking lot. Location is close to Fremont Street, however very far off the main strip.

Beds are hard and not enough pillows. Used their online app they give you at checkin to check out. Says it worked but was charged an extra day because they said they never got it. I talked to them and they would not correct the mistake. The food in the restaurant was not good either. There's definitely a better choices in that area. The circa is the best. The golden nugget is better too for the same price. The D is extremely loud, a band plays outside your room all night.

Stayed here 4th of July weekend and it was a decent, nice hotel. The front desk employee was super nice and upgraded our room to the Gallery Tower. Our room was cute and spacious. There wasn’t a light in the room, so that was kinda weird but it’s fine. The shower was terrible because it was like a half door type of thing, and water kept spilling over onto the floor. The toilet also would not flush at times. But, it was a decent room for a decent price and close to everything!

  • 5/5 Nai H. 9 months ago on Google
The rooms were really nice though I will say it was a little weird not having a light in the center of the room and the shower didn’t close like it has no door or curtain. Still nice though! Would come here again, great location; you can easily walk to food places like nacho daddy which is right around the corner along with a 24hr Walgreens and Fremont st. The pool was really nice and so was the gym. The outside looks like any regular building but the inside is the total opposite! Really nice and clean.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino, and I must say it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the level of service and the overall atmosphere of the hotel. The staff at the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and any questions or requests I had were promptly addressed. Their professionalism and attentiveness truly made me feel like a valued guest. The rooms at the hotel were spacious, clean, and well-appointed. I was particularly impressed by the modern decor and the attention to detail in the room design. The comfortable bed and plush linens provided a great night's sleep, and the amenities in the room were top-notch. I appreciated the complimentary Wi-Fi, which allowed me to stay connected throughout my stay. One of the highlights of my visit was the casino. The Downtown Grand Casino offered a wide variety of games and a vibrant atmosphere. The staff on the casino floor were knowledgeable and friendly, creating a welcoming environment for both novice and experienced gamblers. I had a fantastic time trying my luck at the various slot machines and table games. The hotel's dining options were also exceptional. I had the pleasure of dining at one of the on-site restaurants, and the food was absolutely delicious. The menu offered a diverse selection of dishes, and the quality of the ingredients was evident. The attentive service and inviting ambiance made for a memorable dining experience. The location of the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino was ideal for exploring the vibrant downtown area. It was within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and entertainment venues. I enjoyed taking leisurely strolls and immersing myself in the energetic atmosphere of the surrounding neighborhood. Overall, my stay at the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino exceeded my expectations. The exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, and exciting casino made for a memorable visit. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a first-class experience in the heart of downtown. I cannot wait to return for another enjoyable stay. Thank you, Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino, for providing such a wonderful and memorable experience!

The room and location were great, and the front desk staff was amazing. The only issue we had was trying to understand how often they serviced the rooms. We were there for 4 days and had to constantly call to get someone to service our room just once. The casino is pretty basic, but you're close enough to walk to the different casinos in the area. Would definitely stay here again. The pool area was ok, but they charge anywhere from 100 to 300 dollars for the shaded area, so that was a no go. The pool area is closed at 6 to rent out for private events. Would stay here again.

All things considered, this was a fantastic hotel-especially for the price. The location is right off downtown, staff are friendly, facilities are very clean, The view from our room is gorgeous, and everything felt classy and very pleasant. My only serious complaint is the bathroom, because there was not a shower curtain or even a proper shower door. If not for that, it would have been a perfect room all around. Will be staying again!

Melting. On the 16th floor and it's been 75 degrees the whole time. They sent an engineer, he changed the filter and got it working for a bit. But next day the same. Woke up to bites on my stomach too. I've stayed here before, we paid more for a suite but it's just big. No fridge or perks. No daily water or service. High price for what? The restaurant Freedom Beat is great, delicious, and awesome staff. Don't book people with AC that doesn't work in the middle of the summer.

This is the BEST place to stay down town!!! The staff is amazing. They remember you from stay to stay. It’s old vegas at its best. Great rooms good rates best bars and food. The location is perfect! It’s right by Fremont without the crazy of Fremont. You have amazing restaurants at your fingertips. Great gaming and a wonderful new sports book. The pool is rooftop so something is always happening there! They have tons of giveaways and fun promos! You would be crazy not to stay here.

Good hotel and great value for money. We stayed here for three nights and had a really peasant experience. Upon arrival we got upgraded to the new tower and everything was very clean and new. The hotel is very close to Fremont street, however the room we had was very quiet. The only slightly negative comment I have is that the second day we were there our room wasn’t cleaned until after 4pm, and the third day it was only partially serviced (towels changed, but bed had not been made). However that didn’t impact on the quality of our stay. I would happily be back.

Nice, friendly place in the heart of downtown. A retro vibe. The room was OK but could have been cleaner(but I'm kinda picky). The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The room prices were good after the fees are credited back to you. Food and drinks are a little pricey. Overall a good place to stay.

More than a good hotel in terms of price and quality. The room is spacious enough and clean. We chose a hotel for one night with a pool on the roof and we were completely satisfied! That day it was cloudy and there was lightning, so we stayed at the pool for a while and spent the rest of the day and night in the city. Las Vegas is certainly "Disneyland" for grown-ups, there is really everything to see (both beautiful and not very appropriate) but simply, you should not miss a tour and stay in this city! I can't decide which hotel to highlight (with their show programs) simply, each one is amazing in its own way. Definitely two days is short for Las Vegas...

Really good. Super close to Fremont St experience. Small casino down stairs. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Nice pool area. We got a great deal on rooms as we stayed over 4 nights. Continental breakfast package is well worth it. The servers at the continental breakfast cafe were the absolute best.!!! So helpful and friendly. Management could probably have more than one elevator going at busy times. The place was really clean and comfortable and location amazing. Rooftop pool and full gym . Oh .and it was quiet...great sleep. Nice beds.

This place was great, except from the kind of confusing room numbering system and the pool parties that go until 1 AM. If that’s what you’re there for, which you probably are because it’s Vegas, you’re in luck! But having a pool facing room and getting in ready to crash, you gotta wait out the pool party. Everyone at the front desk were super helpful and friendly. I loved that. The casino area wasn’t massive and easy to get lost in like others in Vegas. A lot more subdued and easy to chill out in. Maybe gamble, maybe drink. Overall, a decent hotel experience in Old Vegas right next to Fremont.

Good location, nice enough rooms. Must be a Vegas thing but no coffee machines or fridge in the room. Staff is friendly. If you enjoy waiting for elevators, this is definitely the place! The escalators are all broken and so are most of the elevators. But the rooms are clean and it's close to the action. I'd stay again especially if I have a bunch of extra time to wait for elevators!

My fiancé and I stayed a night at the Grand Hotel and were very pleased overall with the service. Our room was great, but the customer service was fantastic. We were wandering around aimlessly through the casino trying to find the check-in counter but were lost. Two employees approached us and asked if we needed help and pointed us in the right direction, we really appreciated that. I left my nice new copper water bottle in my room and went through the lost and found process and was impressed with the service I received. They sent my water bottle back to me, empty and bubble wrapped securely. This place is definitely worth the stay.

A great value, modern hotel just a stone's throw from Freemont Street. Our room was spacious and clean, and we enjoyed the casino downstairs, which has some of the best value gambling options in the city. The terrace and pool area was good, but there isn't much shade unless you pay to reserve a space, and the pool gets crowded quite quickly. Good to have music and vibes up there though, and the location is great.

My review is only for the rooftop pool and gambling area. The pool was extremely small, and the placed filled up quickly. We were there for the Life is beautiful festival and after a few hours we decided not to go back. Found a better rooftop party at our hotel. The casino is lack luster, and the table works kinda seemed depressed for some reason. Took forever to get drinks.

Gregory Walker assisted me in my check in, he was above and beyond accommodating as well, good service is hard to find. Nice clean quiet hotel, very short walk to Fremont Street. Very small casino and limited restaurants to choose from, but that's not an issue with so many large casinos and multiple restaurants within easy walking distance. Getting to the main strip was a quick Uber ride. Would definitely stay here again

What a great experience! This is the best value in Vegas. All of staff - from front desk, to housekeeping, to dealer - were so cool and friendly. SUCH A GOOD VIBE. Really looking forward to staying again! Tip: if you are staying in the grand tower and want quiet, make sure to ask for the back of that tower. Was silent over on this side.

We've been coming here for a couple decades. Love downtown. The Grand has always had a laid back euro, near boutique, feel. But things are slipping maintenance wise. Room dark, furniture worn. Then only one elevator was available for 2 days. Service was fine. Casino still offering low limit choices. But the edge is off. You can feel it around the pool. A wait staffer. No one asked if we wanted drinks. Towels thread bare. I still recommend The Grand. But I will try The D next visit.

The Casino was very clean and no smell of smoke. We only visited the casino and Freedom Beats for breakfast. The breakfast menu online was just available weekends. We were there on a Thursday and the menu was limited. I wish this would have been more clearly stated online. The weekend menu looked great. The weekday menu was basic. Service was excellent

Very disappointed in my recent 3 night stay. Dirty rooms (had to be moved) unfriendly staff, no mini fridge, no housekeeping and loud music playing til 2am that kept me sleep deprived for 3 days. On the bright side... the location was good and the casino was clean and less smoke filled than the other local casinos. I will NOT be returning to this hotel... much better options for a few bucks more:)

Nice clean hotel but in a bad location. Parking during weekends can be challenging. The noise from nearby clubs and casinos make it impossible to sleep. The street noise sounds like a drag strip. Homelessness in the area is a problem. A little sketchy walking the streets. Homeless will ask for change as you walk past. They sleep in the streets outside your window and urinate in the stairwells. Sad really. There are better areas to stay in Vegas.

Great hotel. Situated just off the Fremont Experience - so room quiet, but close to the action. Also very close to bus route if you want to get to the strip. Room was big and spacious, comfy bed, very clean.

The room is just ok. The hotel is clean but showing signs of age. We had a problem with the AC unit making a horrible noise, we went out for dinner and it was repaired by the time we returned. We we're offered an upgraded room anyway but being it was repaired we declined the upgrade. The staff we're amazingly helpful and courteous. A big shout out to them. It's close to Fremont Street but not enough to hear it from the room.

My favorite place to staycation in Vegas. They take care of locals. Check the website for unbeatable deals. Great low money action in the casino. You can still find $5 craps and $1 blackjack here. Staff is always super friendly, and very professional. Rooms are always spotlessly clean.

EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE! AVOID! You won’t get service any better here with any amenities that you don’t get at MOTEL 6. Lobby Elevators don’t work right, when staff was told they didn’t care,(really they never do) The main casino bar is closed, their ONLY restaurant has one staff member (the bartender, no waiter or hosts) so you have to stand in a big line to order. Want a beer on draft? Huge line(I don’t drink but my people do) Valet for hotel guests is $20. There’s no elevator working at self parking, so expect 5-6 flights of stairs in a smelly staircase in a dirty parking garage across the street from the hotel, not even attached. The rooms were gross and inconvenient . You can’t sit up in bed or the mattress slides off. The lamp has a HUGE stain, there’s no window to open or ventilation vent to open. The hallways smell like cigarettes. They gave us the wrong rooms which were a downgrade from what we reserved. There’s no Hot tub and the Swimming pool is not heated

Smooth check-in and checkout, although they refused to let me check out late, even for a fee. The hotel has several towers. I was in the Grand tower. It's a bit of a schlep to get there from the inside so be prepared to go meet your food delivery in advance. There's no room service. My "Grand Deluxe King Bed" room was pretty basic in amenities, although quite spacious. I couldn't crank up the heater above 72F. The temp outside was like 50F so the room became quite chill during the night.
