If you happen to be in Las Vegas, New Mexico and you have to stay for a night during a road trip, this is a good option. Rooms are freshly renovated, the outside is not. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the bathroom has a window.

Ok. On the outside, it looks like a standard, old motor inn...when you check in, the guy is behind glass. But, once you get your room, they are completely new. Great comfy beds, very clean and spacious. Ours had a living room. Would 100% stay there again.

Pleasantly surprised with my stay here. I would have expected a typical motel had I not read previous reviews that encouraged me reserve a room at Thunderbird. The rooms are updated and really did feel very clean. The service was definitely one of my top 5 experiences in New Mexico. If you are looking for something clean, quaint, safe, quiet and comfortable, I can suggest you give Thunderbird a try.

After reading other reviews about how comfortable the beds are, we decided to go ahead and book this place last minute on a road trip. To my surprise, the beds WERE super comfortable! We also had a very late check in and the property was very accommodating. Would definitely stop here again.

This is one of those Mom n Pop motels where all the rooms open onto the courtyard. It was fabulous! Two queen beds with a separate sitting room gave us plenty of room. The large bathtub was perfect for soaking out the sore from overused muscles. Seek the sign of the Thunderbird when in Santa Rosa, NM

This motel has been around longer than I’ve been alive. It is modest and looks a little rough around the edges but… the woman that works in the office was very nice, the room was clean and had a nice bathroom and bed. I had my dog and the fee for her was only $15. I felt safe walking her around at night. If you’re like me and like to drive up to your room and are okay with modest but well-cared for accommodations then I would highly recommend this quirky charming little spot.

Very clean & service was great! I am in a wheelchair ( I can walk a little) & I was able to have my chair inside and wheel up to the bathroom. Altho it was not an accessible bathroom I was still able to use the tub/shower, with my shower chair. Thunderbird is a nice change of pace ( instead of a room that is way over priced down the road) for those that like comfort at an affordable price!

If you’re looking for a place to sleep for the night this is a good budget choice. My room was clean and had everything I needed to get cleaned up and into bed. The location is fine, quiet. The front desk person was very nice and efficient. Recommended for the budget traveler.

These people at the Thunderbird are kindly, hospitable and delightful folks. The beds are COMFY! (You can believe these reviews) The Bathroom was CLeAN and upgraded with a marble backsplash, brand new sink and nice large shower. White spotless towels, fluffy Pillows, coffeemaker to make tea or coffee in the am. Two TVs - one huge in front of a pull out couch in living room area, one medium flat-screen with cable in front of two Queen beds in the room we booked via Priceline/booking dot com. In the morning with late Nov snowfall overnight Shubham the Manager even lent us a big brush to clean off our truck windshields etc. Kind! Sure, it's not in the Center of town, but it's directly on 25, and only 3 minutes to Las Vegas NM "Charlie's Spic & Span" for Great newmexico-style breakfast - yum!
