Seems like such a cool place but they totally dropped the ball on my experience. We reserved a bowling lane. No one was working the shoe rental so we were told 'just wear your normal shoes', the bowling lane itself was dark, the TV screens didn't work, the flashy lights didn't work, the light above the pins didn't work. It was hard to see. The lane was not waxed. We are fairly avid bowlers and we couldn't even get the ball down to the pins like normal. The staff really didn't care, im sure they're used to having upset groups. We bowled 4 frames and left. Will not be back, and definitely will not recommend.

When we walked in, there was no greeting. This place has so much potential. They have amazing usable space. Don't understand why it isn't cleaned up and used. Even the employees looked like they hated their lives. These are photos of the outside because the inside was sad to even take any photos. Didn't even stay for a drink.

Really fun and interesting place with different events going on at different times. There's also a giant schlong ride instead of a bull. Haha

Had a blast at the nerd. From the nice selection of arcade games, to the full length bowling lanes, to the full bar with a decent selection and all the random items to see around the joint made sure we were entertained and not thirsty. We will be visiting this spot every time we visit Vegas.

Travelled a long way to utilise this advertised fun bar and rides. Nothing was working. Drinks were overpriced 13 dollars for a little plastic cup cocktail...joke. Only me and my partner in there. Had bowling 🎳 but didn't use as was 20 dollars each and was empty Requested a picture with the riding machine for wife as she told everyone we were going to this place.....refused on all accounts. Would not waste your time.

As self-proclaimed nerds, my husband, nephew, and I were not as impressed as we were expecting. Maybe it was better after dark, but we were about the only ones in there Saturday afternoon. There were some cool props here and there, but we had 1 drink and left.

The Nerd was a nice experience. I enjoyed the fact they have different video games here. The bartenders are pleasant and the music (whether a DJ was present or not) was good. I would definitely go back.

The night we went was no cover. Lots of unused open space with random video games. The concept isn't cohesive. It needs a lot of tlc as it is very shabby. The seating is weird. Drinks are super expensive ($21 for a shot and a PBR). Music is too loud to have a conversation. As a local, I won't be back.

With the cover, lack of a proper arcade, and odd atmosphere, it's difficult to recommend this place. We walked in, and five minutes were out. We were hoping for more games or something, but we're highly disappointed. They have some interesting memorabilia, but that's about it. We didn't do any bowling, so I can't speak to that.

Totally worth my time. I love retro arcades and bowling. If those are your thing, then this place probably isn't worth your time. Still, affordable, great location and tons of fun.

Definitely underrated. Cool small gem. Perfect place to come bowling. If you live retro games. Not sure how they put on events but they have a wrestling ring. An MMA ring. So much fun to pretend fight with your friends. Lots of games and a bar in the middle. The only reason for the 4 stars is because of the bar tending girls were very rude.

This used to be my go-to, my favorite place. So many memories and great times over the years, I got engaged in front of this bar. Over the years, the spirit it once had has pretty much been lost. The vibe is off, the service isn't great, it's just not very fun anymore. 5 years ago, this place was alive! Smash Bros tournaments, Star Wars parties, and GoT watch parties...the environment was immaculate. The Nerd is merely a shell of the amazing place it used to be and has become just another bar.

Showed up with a group of about 15 of us - The Nerd was definitely the spot for all of us to enjoy a bit of whatever we wanted to! We had friends playing Guitar Hero, some friends playing Super Smash, others were on the dance floor, and overall we all just had one heck of a good time! The drinks were pretty good and fairly priced for what you were getting - also loved catching the Wrestling match on Tuesday night! This place was awesome, can't want to go back!

I gave it 2 stars because it has some cool stuff inside and it's fun to look at, but besides that, most of the stuff didn't work, it's just a bunch of random stuff all over the place with no real structure. We also waited for 10 minutes and none of the bartenders even came to help us, even though there were 5 of us just standing there. They had to notice us, but they didn't say anything or come by us. So we just left. Just a really odd place. Hopefully they can figure themselves out because it was just a mess.

My experience at the nerd bar was absolutely amazing. Our bartender Ruby was above and beyond the games were fine. The bowling was fine. I suggest the nerd bar to everybody who comes to Fremont Street in Vegas.

This is only from a bowling perspective. Rest of the bar was great, attentive bartenders and good drinks. The guy operating the lanes was a bit of a jerk. Kept disappearing, acted like helping me and my group was a nuisance to him. I had asked if they had shoes, said they were optional. Asked to have them anyway, and he threw them on the table like we were the problem. Lane had broke down, we spent almost ten minutes of our hour waiting for it to be fixed, he had disappeared until miraculously showing up to fix it at the 7 minute mark. Our time was given back to us after having to ask the bartender to tell him as as soon as it was fixed he walked out of the establishment. The rest of the place was fun, this is strictly for the bowling portion, the man in charge should be gotten rid of. The place has plenty of potential, but it's squandered

Love coming here, good vibes and great atmosphere! Friendly staff and made many good memories. There is unfortunately a lot of things that are not maintained, but for the main things (bowling, beer pong, giant jenga, air hockey, DJ/dance floor), this bar serves it purpose and then some. To add to that, there is a ton of awesome decor and art around the bar that make this extremely unique. Will be back!

We found our way to The Nerd via the Fremont bar crawl we were on. If not for that bar crawl, we never would have discovered this place nor even made the effort to seek out something like it. With that said, we did enjoy ourselves. It is a quirky bar with old arcade games and a bowling alley. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles heads brought me some enjoyment. Drinks are overpriced but the bartender we had was nice. If you are looking for a different type of experience, you might want to try The Nerd.

Huge disappointment - half of the games are roped off, and most of the remaining ones were broken or shut off. My friends and I were only able to play on 3 different machines. The drinks are also incredibly overpriced. It pains me to review this so low because the vibe and the staff are cool. But the place has so many technical problems that the novelty fades quickly.

N is for never boring. E is for exceptionally unique. R is for really rad spot. D is for down to party. That's pretty much the nerd. Really weird spot and will not disappoint. If you like really high class, boring, stuffy lounges with VIP bottle service..... DO NOT COME HERE! If you like a super odd, cool place with amazing vibes, great music, cheap drinks and tons of fun stuff to do. YOU SHOULD COME HERE. Thanks to them for all they do, no trip to vegas is complete without hitting the nerd and seeing what the heck is going on inside.

This is honestly the best hidden gem we stumbled upon on our trip to Vegas. All of the bartenders we met (we went every night for 3 nights) were great and the atmosphere was a breath of fresh air on Freemont. Santana (bouncer & ride operator) was the coolest person we met and is a blast. Don’t listen to the lame reviews…this place was great!!!

I couldn't recommend this bar enough, if you're looking for a good time and "fun" games then you came to the right bar... Great customer service, great vibes, great drinks, and for a bar, good food!!! Don't take my word for it come to the bar and experience it for yourself...

This place is fantastic! So much going on and every now and then, there's a cosplay event. I love seeing everyone's cosplay or outfit. The staff is fun, being there is fun. I love verging people in super smash bros while watching my friends bowl. Video games all around and a bar with great drinks. The N.E.R.D. is one of the best places to be.

this place is my absolute favorite, bowling is super fun, the music is great (as a scene kid i feel so represented), video games, the whole 9. as a nerd i feel both represented and not exploited. service is as good as it gets. please check out. dubs all around.

Dude JC is like the best bartender. Here I am dancing and I turn around and he's dancing also. He was so friendly and warm and bubbly and those are the people I look for. I don't even bowl anywhere else. Drinks were awesome. Literally like I'm a local and I only come downtown for this one place. Jc you're awesome brother I'll see you soon

Great bar with friendly and attentive staff. I enjoyed playing NES while drinking a boozy slushy surrounded by nerdy decor.

Came in with a reservation, told the bar and got set up on our lane right away. Didn’t need to grab shoes or move any balls: There was 3 lanes being used 5 not being used. They put us on a screen that was broke. To the left of us was 3 employees that were playing on a working screen. Not sure if it was their break to team bonding, regardless when they got off we asked to use theirs at the ba.. in addition to a non working screen ours also malfunctioned and froze twice. The bar told the employee to set us up on lane 2, which someone’s game had just ended but we’re still hanging out and chatting so that was a bit awkward, especially when the employee comes up to us and says he set us up on lane 7 which is what we asked to begin with. Some of the employees may be nice and hard working, they exchanged smiles and worked fast but overall it’s pretty scattered and not very professional.

If you are expecting a place to bowl with any sort of fun outside of throwing the ball dead straight down the lane, look elsewhere. There was 0 oil on the lane. No slide whatsoever on the approach. The lane and the approach somehow had the same amount of oil. If you bowl over 100 consistently and have your own equipment (even plastic), do not come here. I cannot understand how a PBA bowler is a part owner of this place and half the lanes don't work and none even have a spec of lane oil. Me and my bowling buddies literally had to make a joke out of it to have any fun (backup ball with house balls). 20 dollars per person for 1 hour is outrageous. The bowling should be free with how unmaintained these are.

best $40 my friends and I have spent here! its hidden a bit on fremont street but theres plenty of things to do along with a bowling alley, arcade, and bull riding machine!

Was really looking forward to checking this place out because the concept seemed cool and the pics and reviews seemed positive. But sadly it was a big disappointment. It felt like the bar just gave up on itself and they stopped caring about taking care of the place. It looked run down like a dive bar and not a fun niche nerd spot. A door charge is ridiculous to get in when there nothing going on inside. There was a DJ (if you could call him that) and with maybe 10 people at most inside on a Saturday night, they had the bass up so loud all you heard was the bar rattling. You couldn't hear to play any of the games, especially games like guitar hero and DDR where hearing the game is the point of the game. There was an air hockey game you couldn't play because there was no puck. So yeah, huge disappointment.

  • 2/5 Chris C. 1 year ago on Google
The lanes were oil-free. If you are the type that likes to run down the lane, chasing after your ball, you will not slip here. So good news for the rowdy types. If you are a serious bowler, the lack of care is disturbing. The ball starts hooking immediately due to massive friction. I saw the lane conditioning machine sitting there but all I kept thinking was why don’t they use it? I was looking forward to a nice experience and practice session. Money and time wasted.

  • 1/5 Barry M. 1 year ago on Google
Looks good but isn't. The staff are extremely unfriendly and unhelpful- particularly the bowling alley: we paid $30 for an hour for 2 people only for the lane to break down multiple times, leaving us standing around for 20 minutes of that time because the chap who was supposed to be manning it was socialising outside and was actually annoyed when we looked for help, ended up having to get a refund (which was short). The barman was incredibly rude, outright ignoring us when we made requests and when we could get served the drinks were stupidly overpriced. Avoid.

Really interesting place to check iut. Had some time to kill and had a drink at the bar. Really like the various pop culture references and games. Not too busy. But good drinks and was able to get out of the cold for a little bit. The bowling was pretty popular.

Come here a little after 11pm. It was kind of dead. Not a lot of people inside the establishment. It was also a weekday. The greeter at the door was dressed in a fun outfit so it made me feel like the place was going to be a good time. There’s a lot to do in there. It could spend a good amount of time in here with a group of people. The drinks however were not amusing. Fun place to hangout but maybe not drink.

  • 1/5 Joe B. 2 years ago on Google
I was looking for a fun place to take my wife and friends for a birthday but after reading the reviews on this place I will definitely have to say no. They don't have a chance of getting my money with these poor reviews. Sorry Nerd sounds like you need to clean up your act.

  • 2/5 Taran D. 2 years ago on Google
This place has become terrible with all the changes... They are all true... all the complaints. It’s insane the 180 this formerly great place did. I hope it’s hit them they probably won’t end up being a “classic vegas spot” because it looks like their time could be limited in the coming times.

  • 1/5 Patrick D. 2 years ago on Google
This place was a good idea but half of their machines didn't work properly and they are the staff are theives. I went there this past weekend with some friends and they charged me double on Saturday and when I told them they showed me another receipt that showed the correct price but looking at my ba k account they charged me double with no refund. I had to call my bank today to get my money refunded. One of my friends I went with ordered 1 beer and they charged him $90. They said they refunded it but I didn't follow up with him. Completely ruined the Vegas vibe. I would definitely find somewhere else to go.

  • 1/5 Kurtis S. 2 years ago on Google
Nerd vibe is a cool idea but everything in this place is broken. Pop-a-shot: busted. Time Crisis: busted. Connect 4: busted. NBA Jam: busted. Bartenders are nice enough but it's obvious whoever runs the place doesn't care. They got some bowling lanes and a giant mechanical d*ck you can ride if that's your good time.

  • 1/5 Jennifer R. 2 years ago on Google
This place is absolutely disgusting. It was dirty everywhere and the only male bartender was unbelievably drunk. I feel like I got a disease from walking into this joint.

  • 5/5 Gordon F. 3 years ago on Google
Wow loved it in here. Amazing atmosphere. Super fun, imagine Dave and busters but better and more fun👌 give this place a visit when you're in Fremont street
