Great hike on the Mt Kraft trail just outside of the fee station. Beautiful rock formation looks like pink waves. You also have a great view of the orange / white rock, the gray turtle rock and the pink wave rock. Highly recommended this trail. As far as the scenic drive, we didn't find it much interesting if you just drive through it and stop at the view points. We read on the website that you need to make reservation to drive on the scenic loop. However, when we got there, the gatekeeper didn't ask to see it. I guess maybe there weren't that many people when we got there.

Visitors Center is great fun, we would recommend stopping there first. Inside you can watch videos about the park, learn about some hiking from the information desk, and checked out many of the exhibits. A large gift shop is available for some souvenirs.Maps of the park and drive which runs counter-clockwise from the entrance and Visitors Center are free and readily available. The recommended hike for beginners is a one mile hike from the first stop at Calico.

Beautiful! For $20 per vehicle, you can drive the scenic loop and just look, or get out at designated parking areas, and take photos. This is a great location for those who just want to see the beauty and/or maybe take a little walk down a trail as well as those who hike and climb. We spent about 90 minutes there because we drove through and only walked part of one trail. There are bathrooms (larger, fancy porta-potties, basically) at some spots. Grab a map when you get there so you know where they are ahead of time. We ordered tickets online. At 9 AM on a Sunday, it was not overly crowded - we never had a problem pulling into one of the parking areas. If you're visiting Las Vegas, I definitely recommend spending a couple of hours at Red Rock Canyon. You'll get great photos!

Our friends got married here and it really was perfect and beautiful for a small ceremony. The bathrooms though were literally a hole in the ground lol otherwise it was amazing! It wasn’t crowded and was only about a 40 minute drive out of the city.

Not what most people would think to do while in Las Vegas but if you want to spend an afternoon sightseeing, this is the place to go. You scenic route is 13 miles and $15 for a day pass. It appears that some dates require a reservation. I was there in June and that wasn't required. You can drive straight through or stop at designated parking areas and take a hike. The visitors center has maps with a guide to the level of difficulty for each trail printed on the back of the map. Definitely stop at the visitor center. Tell a volunteer what you are interested in and they can give you the best guidance. Sightseeing, rock climbing, easy hike or something more challenging. Landscape or wildlife photography. A volunteer gave a recommendation to hike a house trail near the center but off the route and I found an amazing area with cactus I hadn't seen. Rent a car and go. Spend a day in the sun. Take sunscreen and alot of water. Best hike for me was ice Box Canyon.

Very beautiful, serene area. We were there for a wedding which was an incredible backdrop. Very peaceful for hiking, taking pictures or just enjoying the view. Close to Vegas yet seems miles away. Good place to reflect and enjoy nature.

Amazing views! From driving to the stops you won't want to look away. This was pretty crowded and I imagine it is a lot. You can still have a great appreciation for nature. The drive is smooth and there are plenty of places to pull over and stop. I definitely recommend seeing if you can. Vegas isn't too far so it's the perfect break from the city life.

This is a very popular spot that is busy on weekends. You have to reserve an arrival time which will cost you $22 in advance. They were performing a Naturalization Citizenship that morning at the welcome center, which left no parking and a busier than usual area. Most of the parking areas along the 13m route were also full which meant you couldn't stop, and you can only park in the designated zones. We did happen to walk some of the pathways and found them gravel covered, well marked and very manageable. This is a great way to spend a half day exploring and will revisit when it's not as busy

One of the best bang for the buck hikes in Zion! Shirt, sweet, and rewarding. You can see some good views of Pine Creek Canyon below and the overlook at the end is jaw dropping. Only a half mile out and a half mile back. Parking is and issued typical so be prepared to have to wait for a spot to open or drive and walk a bit.

A must visit location if you’re in Las Vegas, especially if you appreciate nature and natural beauty. The pure colours and drastic shapes of the rock formations are phenomenal. I would recommend that you check the wind forecast before your visit… it can be rather extreme.

"Red Rock Canyon is an absolute gem nestled just outside the bustling Las Vegas Strip. The natural beauty of this conservation area is truly awe-inspiring, with its striking red rock formations, desert landscape, and hiking trails that cater to all skill levels. The scenic drive alone is worth the visit, offering stunning photo opportunities around every corner. Whether you're into hiking, rock climbing, or simply enjoying the tranquility of the desert, Red Rock Canyon has it all. The visitor center is informative, and the park rangers are helpful. It's a refreshing escape from the city's lights and noise, and a great way to connect with nature. Don't miss this breathtaking natural wonder when you're in the Las Vegas area."

The sights were amazing. Condom wrapper and used condom on the ground by the wall as soon as we got out of the car. Definitely worth the trip for some pics!

We lived in Las Vegas for 10 years before moving to Florida and we came back to visit and of course we had to come to the spot. It is absolutely beautiful here the pictures just don’t do any justice. You must see this place in person if you are considering making the drive from the Las Vegas valley. I would highly recommend it.

Always a great little way to get that "out" of Vegas city feel. Beautiful scenic roads with minimal traffic . If you have a motorcycle even better! Beautiful vastness.

Pretty place. It's nice especially when it is quite. Downside is some people don't pick up after themselves and leave trash around the place.

Fantastic place to spend a day or two. Highly recommend it, even if you do it for a day. Outside of Las Vegas done with Pink Jeep Tours.

The views here are stunning, and the road up is a lot of fun. There are a lot of great trails to hike and cycle on, and it's not far from the city at all. If you like the outdoors and scenic locations, be sure to stop here and take in the views.

This place was very beautiful. Niece got married out here and the backdrop was breath taking! Some sun and some clouds made this an epic spot. Be advised, no signal out here!

This overlook is free and is not on the paid scenic route. Great for a quick visit to check out the grand view. Limited parking but had no issues on the weekend. Bike repair and restroom facilities are available. Helipad on site.

This entire area is amazing. The overlook is a tourist spot, easy to access, directly off the main road. People were picnicking, photographers had family getting photos, a wedding was happening while we were there. We have seen a lot weddings happening around Red Rock area. Highly recommend driving the loop at a minimum!
