My mother has been living here for a while and they refuse to replace her couch or move her unit due to a rat infestation. I called the office to ask why management is allowing it or what other options they have for her they stated they could not talk to me as I’m not resident. I said what if I wanted to move there potentially and concerned about a rat infestation, what is management doing about the problem? Still no answers. There’s always police there, always bums in the alley way, always someone fighting. The management is horrible and whether they have newly renovated apartments or not, this property is trash. They don’t care about the office appearance, the residents or their customer service. Stay away from budget suites or any suites near Fremont period. It’s not a nice nor clean area. I posted a photo of the permanent mouse trap they put in my mothers unit instead of moving her.

Horrible place to live. Constantly losing power, water being shut off without notice and hardly ever hot water. They do not care about anything but getting their money. Mangement has 0 commutation skills. Stay away, area is trash, bums hang out all around. I've had to call "security" multiple times for bums being outside my apartment on the 3rd floor! Go to pick up Mail from the office only to find it empty with an "out to lunch" sign without a time of return so youll just have to guess.

I'm only posting this after seeing some of the reviews that are getting posted. I've stayed here 5 different times since 2014, The staff including the manager Christine were always great to deal with. I've always gotten my deposit back it sometimes has taken 4 weeks but I get my check sent to me wherever I go after there. Security is always around and have never had any problems with homeless people on the property. The apartments are not in best neighborhood but if your not out looking for problems no one will bother you. Will definitely be staying there again when I go back to Vegas.

I have lived here for two weeks so far. I was skeptical about moving in here at first looking at the various questionable reviews. Upon requesting a tour of the apartment, I was expecting an old beat up apartment smelling like cigarette smoke. Nope, it’s a modern, beautiful apartment that was just renovated. You could still even smell the fresh paint. Not a single bug or rodent has been seen. Yes it is in a high crime neighborhood, but this is a perfect living arrangement for someone who is new to Vegas and needs a safe place to stay until they can find something better suited to their needs. No guests are allowed in the apartments, but it makes the environment feel safer, and it beats the heck out of living with shady Craigslist roommates. Front desk customer service has been nothing short of impeccable. I am highly satisfied with my stay here!

I really want to give these dudes 5 stars. Judging this against a luxury complex is not fair or appropriate in my book. When compared against it's competition, such as siegel or sportsman's, they are the leading living solution for their tier. The apartments are clean and free of any pest or rodent, the grounds are maintained well, the floor plans are versatile and spacious. In addition to all of those wonderful things I can truly say that the staff is amazing- Brandon who got me in is wonderful, Katie and the other woman are so friendly, quick, and nice to talk to, and the manager seems like a good person. They truly make the place feel homey. Now for the reason for only 4 stars- they profess to have a "courtesy patrol" to keep the place safe. From what I have seen there is one woman patrol officer who does a thorough and diligent job while remaining both friendly and properly strict. However one woman- no matter how amazing- cannot patrol this whole place, it's pretty big. They need to bring on support for their existing security staff- both for the staff, and the overall security. However, after speaking to management they are looking to bring on additional patrol. Once this is completed this will hands down be a 5 star apartment complex for the tier it is competing in.

I was here for three weeks and it was actually not bad. No rats or mice, but there was a couple times where a bug might have crawled in through leaving our window open. Easy to take care of. No infestation. It’s decent for the price you pay since the cost of housing is high these days. Brandon and all the front desk had outstanding customer service. The security lady was nice as well. The room has everything you need. I’m only giving a 4 star because the toilet had trouble flushing. Maintenance came in the a snake, but it didn’t fix the problem. Seems like there was something really stuck in the pipes. Other than that, I enjoyed the stay here.

Let me start off by saying how nice that staff here is specially Brandon and Christine! Yes this place DO have roaches and bedbugs, the first night I stayed here seemed like a good deal 1010$ a month but on the second day noticed the kitchen infestation, I have cleaned daily with bleach for 6 months they decreased but yet they still crawl from other rooms (nasty people) some nights had random people try to unlock my door, the water is Hard you’ll need lots of lotion after your shower here just a heads up, if I was lucky enough I would get hot water in the morning otherwise cold showers were it :(, cameras at least when I stayed didn’t work, was robbed in daylight no footage, suspicious people in the parking lot all the time so watch your back, some tenants would lend their laundry card to homeless people so use strong detergent, otherwise it was cheap, no contract, 15-20 min walk to the strip on Fremont and quiet most of the time. Enjoy your stay! (Last photo is the Janitor washing the appliances from the roaches)

My own experience at South Cove thus far has been quite good. Initially, I meant to stay temporarily, but like my unit enough to stay longer; I've been here over seven months now. I'm sure individual experience depends on which building, unit, and neighbors, and this is an older, aging, property, but my unit (which I rented site unseen) was well cleaned when I moved in, maintenance has always responded quickly and respectfully (I think they do the best they can, considering), there've been few pests--no bed bugs! (I keep very clean and tidy, but bugs are a fact of urban life), leasing agents and management have been largely responsive and polite, and security seems quite present--I've never felt unsafe on the property. As well, keen attention is paid to attempting, as best they can, I believe, to keep out "riff-raff", with a few exceptions out of mgmt's control it's been quiet and peaceful, and I've noticed that my neighbors seem to be interested in supporting each other. There is room for improvement, but most staff, from housekeeping to management, seem genuinely interested in facilitating that improvement. It's also worth noting that the cost of substantial improvements would necessarily be passed on to tenants, rather the property appears to be trying to remain affordable; and I've lived in far more expensive places with far less care and attention. I expect I'll be staying quite a while longer.

When I moved in I was actually surprised that is was not bad at all. Maybe it's seasonal but when I moved in there was just one roach but it was pretty big. My place was clean and had no issues with it. Most people that worked there seemed to be nice, like, Brendan, Marcella and Christina but watch out for the king of all douche bags, John. I don't like to speak negatively about people but this guy is not a people person and should not be in a line of work that involves people.

Branden is nice. The only person I care to deal with. The Hispanic ladies all look at you like they don’t like you when you come ask questions or ignore you. There’s no way everyone in here passes a background check, I am sure if they are a cousin of Christine they may pass, but otherwise they will leave notes on your door about company and guest and want people to have ID’s checked because this is just the best area of town ever (sarcasm). It’s a place to sleep, I just think it’s funny when you move in they say to stay to yourself, but don’t have guest who stay to themselves because then it’s a problem. I won’t be staying here once the time I paid for is up.
