Uninsured
patients
beware!
The
$69
office
visit
charge
is
for
the
evaluation
ONLY!
Any
additional
treatment
will
be
charged
separately.
After
visit,
I
asked
for
rates
of
treatments.
I
was
told
that
was
not
available
to
patients.
Upon
seeing
a
practitioner
and
determining
treatment
needed
ONLY
then
does
a
cash
pay
patient
find
out
what
the
treatment
cost
will
be.
Then
the
cash
pay
patient
decides
whether
or
not
to
proceed.
There
will
not
be
a
refund
of
$69
given
if
cash
pay
patient
decides
not
to
proceed
with
treatment.
I
contacted
the
business
office
for
Southwest
Medical
Associates
the
call
center
staff
confirmed,
however,
I
asked
for
a
director
to
contact
me.
It
has
been
9
days
with
no
contact
from
a
director
of
billling.
I,
personally,
would
love
to
be
insured
and
not
have
to
concern
myself
with
these
decisions
and
details
when
not
well.
I,
however,
lost
insurance
upon
retirement
and
am
unwilling
to
pay
the
ridiculous
monthly
payments
with
the
high
deductibles
and
co-pays
of
the
current
insurance
plans
available
to
my
family.
We
are
fortunate
to
be
healthy
and
have
chosen
to
participate
in
a
med
share
program
instead
(Samaritian
Ministry)
for
major
illnesses.
I
have
learned
a
lesson,
that
I
as
the
patient
MUST
be
aware.
The
practioners
are
not
looking
out
for
me.
It
appears
the
one
I
saw,
at
least,
is
unwilling
to
include
the
treatment
in
the
cost
of
the
office
visit.
