My mom is in this hospital, the nurses said they got all supplys to perfectly take care of her. My mom dont need medication at the momment but needs help getting to the bathroom and they do not help her they dont put no elderly dipper on her . The nurse on the 3rd floor told her rudely "this is no pharmacy" i say its a hospital they are suppose to tend to the patients needs. god dont like ugly and this could be anybodys mom.

Nobody wants to go to the hospital, but during a recent family emergency, the staff at UMC trauma center came through. I rushed to check on a loved one and then had to leave them to go get items from their house. When I returned, my relative was in good spirits and said the nurses were knowledgeable and kind. Despite the difficult situation, Iโ€™m happy they were there being cared for. I took a break in the cafeteria and the lunch staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was surprisingly good too! I hope to never be back to this location, considering the reason people come here, but if I have to, I feel like Iโ€™ll be in good hands.

It's unbelievable I have to rate 1 star! I'm so mad at Dr.James Bailey. He sent my husband home with 11 bumps on his body & a sore throat my husband could hardly talk. He caused us a $6000 cash pay bill & never offered antibiotics. I thought my husband had throat cancer or lymphoma. Well the emergency was on July 21. Today is Aug.12 & my husband is almost dead. We won't go back there. He gets insurance Sept.1, hopefully he won't be dead. We don't like Dr. James Bailey. This is the Adult Emergency Room not the Trauma Center. Please know it was ONLY DR.JAMES BAILEY WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THUU IS ERROR! Not the ER or the hospital. Look at the picture of what was on my husbands chin & the doctor shrugged his shoulders! I wish I could Sue him!

Nice staff but I am polite by nature. Horrible experience. I was sat in hallways. My IV taken out in the waiting room in front of everyone in there ( HIPPA laws people)There was false documentation on my discharge papers itโ€™s definitely a learning hospital. . Go somewhere else!!

Amazing Hospital, Nurses, and Doctors. Arrived at 4 am, and family member was seen by a doctor. Around 7 am, was moved to a quieter area and given medicine. 8am nurse Jason came to answer questions and was very knowledgeable and took his time. ER doctor came 2x to check between 9 and 10. 10:30 Dr Tamaya gave consult and admitted patient. Wonderful Dr, very knowledgeable, professional, and bedside manner is on point! I wouldn't trust another hospital, especially after a horrible experience at Southern Hills. I saw every patient being treated with care and the medical staff being very attentive. Would recommend this hospital above others.

UPDATE: The doctor I was suppose to call the next day wasnโ€™t open. Left him a voicemail. Never heard back. Was pressured to come here after visiting the UMC Quick Care.( UMC ON Centennial was a waste of everyoneโ€™s time there) Waited hours for just eye numbing drops and dye. Could not help my child. Called the specialist. He couldnโ€™t be bothered to come and now wants me to come to him the next day. A waste of an entire day. To a clinic even further form where we are now. Never go here!!!! The rooms are not great. It doesnโ€™t feel safe. Medical equipment doesnโ€™t even work in the rooms.(Actually confirmed by working staff) A strange man was pounding on an EXIT only door for me to let him inside. This place feels scary.

We have been here 45 out of the past 65 days in and out for my granddaughter who is only 2 . She has a very rare disease that usually only attacks adults. So this has been a learning experience for us all. Trial and error but the entire staff has gone out of their way to accommodate us. It hasn't been an easy road by far and I had a series of outbursts as well, but at the end of the day dramatics aside the doctors were working on a treatment plan that could work for us all, because what she needs normally is an inpatient treatment but since she needs these treatments several times a week they're in the process of creating a space for outpatient treatment during special hours . So they have gone above and beyond for us so that we are able to take our baby home yet still get her the treatments she needs to keep her from having to spend weeks in the hospital every month. So Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my โค๏ธ for creating this process for us.

Recently was admitted to UMC trauma. My experience was above excellent! Congestive heart failure and internal bleeding, staff was exceptional every nurse I dealt with was extremely compassionate and caring, every doctor was very professional and friendly and very informative. Iโ€™ve been admitted to other hospitals in the past and have had nurses who were rude and ignored my medical needs and doctors who never gave me the information I was looking for and some I never saw, BUT this was not the case at UMC, every nurse that oversaw me were constantly checking on me and my comfort, always making sure I wasnโ€™t in pain and so nice it was almost like being with family. The rooms were always clean, food was served on time and with the over the top care of the staff my moral was high even though I was going through traumatic issues. I would like to especially thank Dr. Joel Schirding my cardiologist. He not only constantly checked in on me before and after surgery but kept me completely informed on a daily basis on my health and progress. Due to Covid-19 restricting any visits my wife was unable to visit me and was very worried about me during my hospital stay, Dr. Schirding in my presence would call my wife and keep her updated on my status thus keeping her worry free on my condition. Iโ€™m grateful to Dr. Schirding for his kindness and his warm ness, always a smile on his face, thank you Dr. Schirding!!! Also a huge thank you to all the nurses that looked over me, especially Anna and the traveling nurse Caitlin in ICU and Jackie in CCU who took such great care of me, full of conversation happiness and definitely attentive to me and my general attitude in there, you all made my experience 100% better by keeping my morals high I was able to heal while I was in there, and it made me appreciate how hard these nurses work and the extra effort they put in during these days of Covid-19, you nurses are beyond awesome and I appreciate all you did for me in there!! From now on if I have any issues that require me to go to the hospital it will only be at UMC, I know there I will get the best medical attention that Las Vegas has to offer!

Went to get a diagnosis for my 5 week infected eye. 4 hours to be told they didn't know and to go see another doctor. I got the same lack of medical knowledge from the bad VA diagnosis. Going blind in America.

A friend of mine is currently in the Trauma center after being shot at work, but Im not allowed to go see him until 9am? What happens at 9 that is so much more important than supporting a friend AFTER BEING SHOT?!! This is neither sensible nor compassionate.

This place is amazing. The doctors and nurses are so caring and compassionate. My family and I are unbelievably gratefulfor everything they have done to save my sister's life. After some of the worst days I've ever experienced, I came in to find her with a beautiful french braid in her hair. It filled me with hope and made me feel even more secure that when we rest, someone is always protecting her. Thank you โค๏ธ

Spent so far 12 hours In trauma center in their โ€œERโ€. Waiting on results of a CT scan and an X-ray. Four five hours no one even came to check on her. After she started yelling helloโ€ a nurse finally came in and said nothing broken or fractured, we are going to send you home. That was 4 hours ago am still waiting for a discharge. No food or drink for all this time now they are real busy with car accidents and critical patients. Totally incompetent

I must admit that at first I was angry at this hospital and I was wrong for all my assumptions after my lil sister passed they gave us a copy of her heartbeat and a teddy bear with my sisters heart beat to all 5 of her babies and for that I'm very greatful and you guys deserve 5 stars+ thank you for also giving us 48 hours extra to spend it with my beautiful lil sister, I honestly am very thankful for everyone there, God bless you all!!!! ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ™Œ

They get a 4 only because we had to wait for 24 hours after being admitted for a bed. My husband needs heart surgery and he had to sit in a chair for 24 hours waiting for a bed. But the care so far has been tops. So far the nurses on the 2nd floor west have been Great. Fingers crossed all goes well with his procedure.

I had a pretty bad car accident about a month ago and I could not have received any better care then at UMC. I was immediately operated on and was constantly monitored by staff. Throughout my stay I was always taken care of and the nurses and doctors were always available to answer any of my questions or concerns. Many people who reviewed the Trauma Center as 1 star went for simple illnesses and ailments and don't understand what a trauma center is used for. I would highly recommend the UMC Trauma Center!

Now I don't go to the hospital very often (try to avoid that) but my travels do bring me to them from time to time, in the 10 years I've lived in sin city I've been to UMC trauma several times. First time I've actually checked in here to leave a review. I know I know Nevada is at the bottom of the list when it comes to medical care, long term or short term. But when it comes to our trauma center they are up there with the best. Las vegans should know that if they ever get shot or stabbed they are in good hands, I wouldn't go anywhere else in southern Nevada. UMC trauma has helped saved countless lives that otherwise would have been homicides, if it wasn't for them we'd have a higher number of murders in town. The staff is very professional and keeps you updated as often as possible. The security is very friendly and informative as far as visitors and house rules. While I don't know how their ER or rest of the facilities are like I can rest assure the trauma center is on their game.

Absolute the worst. We had an emergency on the way traveling here, some of the receptionists are rude, the doctor canโ€™t be reached any time all day and night, despite of our frustration of traveling and plans had to be made, very little information was shared.
