We stayed on the 22nd floor and the view was very nice. the room was quiet and the elevator service was efficient. our shower was a rainfall type with strong water pressure and was very nicely heated and could go even hotter. loved that. nicely appointed and the bed was soft and firm and very comfortable. slept great.

No more smoking rooms even though I was still able to book one. Was told upon arrival i wouldn't be getting one. Bathtub was slow to drain so didn't shower for more then a few minutes before being in ankle deep water. Tv didn't work and room didn't even have a coffee maker. What am I paying a 120$ resort fee for? Will probably go back to the 4 queens next time I'm in town. I don't mind paying resort fees but not when I'm not even provided with these basic things. The Casino and restaurants are good though. Chart house was amazing

It's like an embarrassingly bad roadside motel. Dirty used sheets, dirty bathroom, dirty walls. They won't change them even if you call and tell them. (We called, they lied and said they would. They never came) Don't trust the average reviews. Why do you give a place 3 stars that has bed bugs? Because you had fun in Vegas, not because the hotel was anything but terrible. Maybe the other towers are less horrible, but Carson tower is a scam and should be torn down and the rubble burned.

They make so much money they don't care about happy customers. The room was nice but they gave us a 1 bed for 3 adults when we booked and confirmed a 2 bed while getting our room key. Also needed a team to get us out of the elevator after being suspended over the 19th floor for almost 20 minutes just to have trouble in another one the next morning. Also make sure you enjoy constant clouds of smoke.

No complaints. Room was clean, water pressure was good. We have a small terrier and, as long as you want to pay the extra nightly pet fee, it was great to be able to travel here with the dog. Staff friendly and attentive. Definitely will stay at Golden Nugget again.

The hotel was nice with good choices for food and the pool was cool, although a bit cramped and doesn't open until later than I would like. The only reason I gave it a 4/5 because the check in/check out process is antiquated. We had to wait in a long line at check in and there were multiple people behind the counter running around, but only a few checking us in, so the line took like 30-45 minutes just to check in. Once we got there, the person was very helpful. And we checked in on a Sunday afternoon, so it shouldn't have been busy.

The hotel did not smell like old musky cigarettes. So that was a plus for me. Check in took a while. The room was okay, the bed was sinking in on one side and the bathroom was just, looking tired. LoL πŸ˜† I would have thought for 200+ a night there would have been a least a blow dryer in the bathroom. No... The room was just standard. No extra anything. The plus side was the restaurant called Saltgrass, this was the best food and drink I have had in a while. Overall, the stay was good.

This was my first time staying on Fremont Street and I really liked it better then staying on the Strip. Also this is a great hotel, lots of amenities and great price and nice people. 100% will stay here again.

Right dead in the middle of the Fremont street experience....can't beat the location if downtown is your thing. Gambling is nice and clean, straightforward. Not the absolute cheapest table games but reasonable and still far less than the strip. My room was very comfortable but a tremendously long walk from the casino. My door lock had a major malfunction and the team that came up to address it was SO incredibly helpful....hats off to getting me into another room with minimum hassle. Gold star 🌟.

I have stayed at the nugget twice. Once 15 years ago and the place was great and then last week. I stayed for a week. When checking behind the bed for something that's when I noticed they don't clean that section. The thick layer of dirt and trash behind it was incredible. I'll probably never stay here again

It was shame, they wanted forty dollars to up grade to a good room. It was 15 dollars a day for valet parking every day . About 40 a day for resort fees and 30 dollars to check in earlier. It's 50 dollars to check out early. Last time we will stay there. We bit on an early July promotion. Don't be fooled!!!

Well it's been a while since I was in Vegas how things have changed and not for the better. We were there for two day's they have several restaurants inside the Fremont we had breakfast at the Grill we got ripped there it cost us$ 91.00 four people have a simple breakfast? The slide on the pool is only open on the weekends what is that telling your guests during the week and on top of that the water was so cold it was hard to enjoy. The rooms were nice the pillows however were so wore out they must have been leftover from the 90's.

They charged me 128 for resort fees. No pool open. No vending machines in use on my floor. Rusty bathtub. Scratched toilet. Broken tiles on floor. Mirror had writing on it. Garbage on the roof we could see. I wanted to use a shuttle to football game. I went to lobby and asked the young man and he handed me a paper and said I don't know which one you use. Not helpful at all. Isn't that your job. I don't live here. I used none of your services. Everything I did I paid for. You should be ashamed. Even in wisconsin our resorts have pools this time of year. Sad.

We stay at the Golden Nugget every time we travel to Las Vegas. This time was the worst experience I've ever had on a vacation. Broken stuff in the room. Wifi was terrible , problems with the Tv. Front desk not very helpful when requesting a few things i needed . I have sent an email to them hopefully they will contact me and discuss these and many more issues

My Experience at the Golden Nugget was Excellent, after having a bad experience at the Cortez Hotel, the Golden Nugget Staff save the day for my family, The Staff that helped us was super friendly, I wished I remember her name, the room booking was super easy, she made everything offered so much convenient, Free Parking is available if you book a room with golden nugget, Totally Family Friendly, if you have kids you can check in here, it’s not a 21+ premises like other ridiculous hotels. Rooms were good, only issue was that the restroom sink was a little clogged up, no big issue to us since the water was going down eventually. One of the beds was a little wobbly, my father was sinking in laying down on one of the corners, other bed was good, both comfortable. Small issue during busier seasons when u check out u might wanna leave at least 15-20 minutes earlier or you will be waiting for the elevators for some time and also when u leave the parking, just a heads up. What I loved the most was the Hotel staff Friendliness, I would totally come back but book a week prior at least to get cheaper rates.

A new acquaintance invited me to enjoy the Nuggets amenities. What a super nice stay and view! Next time soon I'll make time to play. One day soon I'll book a room there. The Casino was busy with a family feel to the environment welcoming to the most common demographics that reminded me of Mr Chase's Vegas vacation. Pleased with cleanliness and the gold ambiance.

I stayed here and it was ok. It did the job gave me somewhere to sleep. The toilet water level is way too high which was annoying. There were 3 us in 3 different rooms and we all the had the same complaint about it. For a place supposedly with limited water it didn't seem like it. The rooms ended up being more than we expected. My friends all got a choice of their beds but the lady I dealt with was going to give my two twins so I had to pay for an upgrade to get a bigger bed. I'm 6'6" that just wasn't going to work. My understanding when I booked that I would still have an option at a king but it wasn't promised if it wasn't available.

There was hair in the bed. There was hair in the tub. The room was not cleaned well. The grout needs to be re done. I own three short term rentals, and the level of cleanliness would be a one. They have a cute little system that they do customer service with, so they don’t have to talk to you. They have a hard time following through with getting back to you they do not have a clear system for check ins you should definitely check your check out receipt. It may be wrong.

The well being checks the maintenance people do is very caring. They check on guests who leave do not disturb signs up for several days. DO NOT SHOP at the place behind Chik Fil A called Essentials unless absolute necessary. They don't have any prices marked anywhere , this is on purpose, designed to take more money from you. By making you bring items to check out at the cashier and realizing a pint of milk costs over $5, they're counting on your feelings of awkwardness when you wish to decline your purpose and to give permission instead to continue with the extremely over charged prices. ( a small Kit Kat bar is over $4) We are disappointed the rooms don't have mini fridges in each room in this day and age. It's very archaic. We can't keep milk inside or any cold foods. This is a definite ding for us. Also: do not book a room on the west side across from the parking garage. Alarms frequently go off night and day. It's quiet over than that. The swimming pool is nice with the fish and chairs.

We have stayed her twice ....if you like to be in the center of Fremont Street...this is your place!! We received early check-in and up grade to a suit...after an early morning rise, we were very grateful to get straight to our room. The staff were very friendly the casino floor was always busy. Asked for extra water and they would bring it within 15 min. The pool area is great...the only thing is the beds are very tightly together.. The bar drinks....WOW...be careful...lol Walk out straight on to Fremont St...out another door taxi rank... Love this hotel!

They have a lot of things to do very close by. But there was blood on my pillow, & you have to request maid service, no matter how many days you stay. The design of the hotel is ridiculous. For example, they installed this ledge looking thing above each bed. And they have 1 ramp that leads to checking, but stairs to enter & exit the building. I had a good time, but I'd definitely stay somewhere else.

This is an older hotel, I had no hot water when I came to my room. By the time maintenance fixed the issue it was over 3 hours. The homeless use the restrooms in the hotel and are outside the hotel using drugs in plain sight. Warning: unless you pay for the upgrade, you will have no microwave or refrigerator. The water bottles in your room are $4. The pool is nice but always packed.

Check in was Awful with a RUDE & Unfriendly female employee. Waited 45 minutes in line (not a problem) was motioned over & no greeting Just asked "are you checking out" no I am attempting to check in. "Well that will be $80 for an early check in I was somewhat shocked & asked what time is check in? 3 o'clock, so I need to come back in 3 hours and wait in another line, yes or pay $80. No thanks I'll come back & hopefully interact with a friendly professional employee. Came back at 4 o'clock waited in line for 40 minutes & was checked in by a friendly associate. Over a five night stay requested house keeping to service the room which never happened in any day no fresh towels or replenished water which is part of the resort fee $42.50 daily.

We just stayed here for a wedding taking place in The Golden Nugget chapel. The chapel ceremony experience lovely in a small but tasteful room. For the reception portion the servers were attentive to the guests, bride and groom. Since it was a small reception the couple elected for heavy appetizers, which were great. We ended up checking out of The Golden Nugget 2 nights early because we didn't enjoy the Casino hotel itself, or it's location. We ended up spending more time at Circa which neighbored The Golden Nugget. I should mention part of why we checked out early was after changing rooms because our first room had bed begs. This is probably a very challenging thing to mitigate with so many people coming from all over the world to stay but they did have different cleaning policies than I've experienced in other hotels/resorts. They made a point to tell us they only provide fresh towels and service rooms by request during your stay. The rooms weren't immaculate upon check in, so it made me wonder how thoroughly they clean between guests. The staff didn't question about the bed begs we found on the bed and willingly accommodated a change of room but the room we were switched to was facing the Downtown Las Vegas Event center, an outdoor venue. This looked like an amazing outdoor venue but it's proximity to the hotel meant the concert felt like it was inside our room. I get most folks don't come to Vegas to get a good night's sleep but having the option sleep at decent hour would have been nice espcially considering the cost of the rooms and resort fees. So if you're like myself and my husband be sure to ask the front desk to book your room in the tower that's farthest in proximity to Downtown Las Vegas Event Center or the opposite side of the tower and be safe, check your bed/mattress!!

Room was standard. No refrigerator or coffee. Bathtub was peeling paint of off it. Called housekeeping to replace towels after 3 days. That never happened. Found housekeeper and asked to exchange towels and she said I could only text or call for new ones. I did with no reply. They did have shampoo and conditioner in room but no bath gel in dispenser. Pool was nice. Starbucks always packed. Didn't eat there because wait time was ridiculous. I would give it another try but was disappointed with my first stay there .

The room did not meet our expectations. The decor was old and outdated. No extra amenities were provided, not even a bottle of water, pen, or complimentary coffee. We were not informed at check in that we had to ask for water. Housekeeping was non existent. Our room was not clean and visible stains were in the tub. The carpet was stained and dusty. Despite the unpleasant room experience, service around the hotel was pleasant and the location was decent. It appears unless you pay excessive fees to upgrade, your regular room is subpar and does not meet even budget star status. Not planning on coming back to this location.

No coffee maker, no refrigerator and micro and service well we asked for trash can to be emptied at 8 am. It's now 11:15 pm and it's still outside our door. No place to put trash. Other then all that IT'S OK but the no coffee maker is the WORST πŸ™„πŸ™ƒ rooms are nice and clean..

Stayed here 10/23-10/25/23. The Carson Tower is a DUMP. The curtains in our room were hanging off the hooks, the TV did not work, no in room coffee, no make-up mirror, no refrigerator. There was mold around the tub. There is no elevator in this tower, so you have to walk a mile to an elevator. The absolute worst was NO HOT WATER!!! I asked for a manager three times and was given three different excuses why they were not available. We will NEVER stay here again.

Nice change from the strip. Pros. $20 trick works. You can get $100+ worth of upgrades for $20 tip at checkin. Nice dealers, nice staff, good downtown location, great food options. I had 6 nights of steak dinners and the best was here. Gaming outdoors by the pool is amazing. Cons. No regular blackjack. The mandatory sidebets will seriously affect your net results. Alot of smoke indoors. Newer hotels have better air. Rooms are just ok. Not worth more than $200 per night. I would definitely stay here again but only because its a nice change from the strip.

Classic but still modern. Love the bang for your buck and food outlets are also great. I was well taken care of from Renee at check in to everyone I came in contact with and had questions for. Great time always here. Thanks for providing all the water bottles in the room...needed it! Resort fee actually has a benefit here.

  • 2/5 Bert W. 1 year ago on Google
Room was way to far from elevator. Tub faucet in shower showed rust. Room needs a facelift. Needs to be made brighter. Requested service to open safe, however, hotel person was giving excuses for why it could not be done. Room was cold even without the a/c on. Appears cold air was coming in from somewhere. Room and service was not like I remembered.

I love staying here. Rooms are nice. Prime spot on Fremont Street. Great selection of restaurants. Vic and Anthony Steak house is top notch. The Chart House is also excellent. The fish tank and pool are beautiful. This place has everything you want.

It's a clean hotel and has a great staff, but some of the bathrooms are need of a deep cleaning and some repair. There is also no housekeeping service. The room prices that they advertise can't be beat for its location downtown, but they need to drop the amenities fees they charge during reservation or at check-in. There is no need to have surprise resort fees that are roughly 20% of the advertised price.

  • 3/5 Connie B. 1 year ago on Google
Small rooms. A little dated. Great shower and better than expected view of downtown Las Vegas. Checking process is slow and difficult. Strange that you have to request housekeeping or pieces of the amenities.... quite agrevating after paying the resort fee.

  • 3/5 Janet R. 1 year ago on Google
Room was average, nothing to nice. We stayed in room 1473. Kids enjoyed the pool and slide. The elevator was broken and they didn't have it fixed. My husband has a prosthetic leg and although he can move well, the elevator would have been helpful sibce he cannot go down the slide with his prosthetic and therefore has to hop up the 35 wet steps to get to the slide area. We did ask the manager when the elevator would be fixed, he said "We called someone." That was Friday; still Sunday and it's not fixed. My husband is a Fire Marshal and knows this is NOT up to safety and fire code to have the elevator out, nor is it in ADA compliant.

The location is great, the rooms were not. The hotel rooms claim to be "non smoking" however, our room smelled like someone had been smoking in there for days. The staff offered to neutralize the odor. That only worked for a few hours. Did not offer a different room. Very disappointing. PS the sheets had holes in them. Definitely needs some attention.

The water slide through the shark tank did not disappoint! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I was surprised to find ear plugs on the night stand. They were a nice touch. Vegas is one wild city!

  • 2/5 Latoya J. 1 year ago on Google
Cons, there is no microwave or fridge or coffee. Only available in the luxury suites. Those are basic at most hotels but you'd expect them, especially for the price and resort fees. Plus the gym/spa. the gym elevators have restricted access cards, so you can't use the gym whenever you want. And you get charged anyway. No turndown service, carpets are filthy, half the elevators dont work, hot water went out. You have to schedule trash removal. Pros, the pool with built in aquarium, size of rooms, location to Fremont St. BOOK ELSEWHERE. especially if you or a family member is in a wheelchair. I was in Carson tower.

I wanted to stay on Fremont Street for this trip and The Golden Nugget far exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly. It had an amazing atmosphere down by the Table Games. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

  • 3/5 Leora R. 10 months ago on Google
This was the first time we were staying in Vegas! The location was beautiful, at the golden nugget on the old strip. However, the lobby clerk gave us a hard time checking in and two cards that didn't work for the rooms. πŸ˜‘ I came to Vegas to get married, not at the hotel down the way. Regardless the spa was supposed to give my mom and daughter manicures but just had them put their fingers in warm water. I paid 167! Very upsetting. I did receive a candle from them because I was getting married. πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

The bathtub in my room was plugged because someone before me jammed the stopper so I had to turn the water off in between as to not overflow the tub. The sink drain smelled so bad I had to keep it covered with a washcloth. Also, the tub had a dirt ring and looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a while. No mini fridge. Other than that the rooms are adequate.

Great hotel located right on Fremont Street. If you are visiting to get the local feel of authentic food, this is the place to stay. Wonderful restaurants right inside and across the street. Decent drive to the new strip but very clean and welcoming hotel. Only downside, pool is not large enough to accommodate all guests.

  • 2/5 Anita S. 11 months ago on Google
Paid airline and hotel reservations together only to find out during check-in the price paid didn't include the room. After paying additional charges to access room I discovered the room had a lot of issues. There were no microwave, coffee pot or fridge in room. We were given full Instead of queen size beds (advertised: room fit 4 adults). Closet could only accommodate 2 adults at best. Room service was a joke. I can go on but I'm giving myself a headache just thinking of my experience. Bottom line is I would never go again and I will strongly encourage anyone inquiring to go to a Motel6 Instead.

A dependable hotel, with clean and we'll appointed rooms. Service is extremely nice at times, and not so nice at others. It's been my go-to hotel for many many years.

  • 5/5 Kim 1 year ago on Google
I've stayed at Golden Nugget at Carson Tower once before. I really enjoyed it the first time and this time. My room is quiet and clean. It's in a non smoking area, which is also great. I was able to get a room very last minute which was fantastic for me. I would highly suggest staying here. You're not far from the strip, just a short drive. The outlets are also a very short drive away.

  • 4/5 Chris B. 10 months ago on Google
Had a great stay overall, but started off rocky. Check-in was kinda rude, bag check was uppity, customer service lacking for such a mid hotel. Location was great and we never wanted for something to do. Maybe we just caught staff on a bad week.

  • 3/5 Jeffrey Breckenridge, M. 9 months ago on Google
I have to say I was disappointed. I was not informed there are more upscale rooms in different towers. No fridge, no coffee maker (?wth), shower tub was rusted, a wad of pubic hair was on soap, shampoo dispenser (which did not work)! The beds were fine, but they gave us the room the farthest from the elevator and they were not that full. Like I said I was disappointed, IF I stay there again I will try one of the premier towers. I will never stay in Carson Tower again.
