Majestic Softball Park

Tourist attraction Park

👍 Majestic Softball Fields (Lower Fields): Because of it’s placement in a flood control basin, the lower segment of the ball park is the ‘basic’ park compared to the upper level. There is shade at each field and a ‘cabana’ with picnic tables near the center of the fields. The park is well landscapin... People often mention park, fields, parking, nice, field, softball,

Majestic Softball Fields (Lower Fields): Because of it’s placement in a flood control basin, the lower segment of the ball park is the ‘basic’ park compared to the upper level. There is shade at each field and a ‘cabana’ with picnic tables near the center of the fields. The park is well landscaping is pleasant for a desert climate. The LED night lights do a nice job lighting up the fields and fan areas. There is a playground, restrooms, and a sink on the Cheyenne Street side of the lower park. Downside of the ‘lower fields’: 1) Be prepared to go down about a 5 story hill (and return the same) either by steps or service road. 2) Be careful for dog ‘bombs’. Those who visit the park are not very good at cleaning up after their puppies. 3) Parking is terrible for large tournaments. There is a small parking lot across Cheyenne and a larger lot at the top of the ‘hill’. IF the school is open across the street from the park, you can park there. Just be aware, there are gates to close this lot. 4) Drivers do like to fly down Cheyenne, so be careful crossing the street. There is a crosswalk with flashing lights that I recommend using, especially at night.

I've never actually been here to watch a game or play, but I have been walking the dogs along the path for several years. It is a good workout if you go around the circumference or do interval sprints up the incline/steps. The only time it's busy is if there is a game. If you are parking in the park or in adjacent Police Memorial Park, be careful crossing the street. Lastly, exercise caution at dusk and dawn because the main place I have seen coyotes in my 14 years here is in this park.

I honestly don't care for this park. It's a badly designed softball park. However, the fields are nice & have irrigation & seem well cared for. What I don't like: 1) They located the building where the bathrooms & the concessions are a long ways away up hill. You have to plan to spend at least 15 minutes to get there, use it, stand in line for a single sink shared with the men's & women's bathrooms. Alternatively, you can choose to use a port-o-potty which 4/5 times does not have toilet paper. Ugh. 2) They need to add netting. This is a very dangerous park because foul balls are flying from everywhere. Add nets to reduce the risk. 3) Serious parents of these softball players have wagons of items & it is no fun to have to travel so far to the parking lots. It would be great if they would add at least a drop-off turn around section close to the fields. We travelled a dead end pathway only to find there was no connection to the ramp to take the wagon up. 4) This park is well suited for people who love hiking stairs. As a grandparent, that's not me. 5) The bathroom feels like a prison. 6) Desert sun, ugh... Add some sails. 7) The fences grids are so tiny we could barely see the players.

The fields are nice. Bathrooms clean and stocked but dark and the dreaded outdoor sink. The fencing in the bleacher area is overkill... way to hard to watch through the tight double think spacing and big poles. Love the tarps to block the sun and foul balls. Fields 1,2,3 very convenient to the restroom.

If you play on any of the fields down in the bottom make sure you bring your drinks in your food because there's nothing down there. They don't have any bathrooms in the bottom either. This park could do a lot better

The bathrooms and concessions were at the top of the hill and really hard to get to without hiking. They did provide porta-potties, but those were gross. Overall the park was clean and maintained.

Busy park on baseball/softball nights. Playground is separated in 2 areas. One for little ones and the other for the bigger kids. My girls 6 and 3 years both do fine on the bigger kid playground. This is a big park with plenty of area to run, walk, play, participate in sports or sit and enjoy the view it's "Majestic"!!!

Wonderful experience with the mountain close by with hiking trails my son had the best time in the playground they have 2 one for toddlers and another for older children we enjoyed it very much while also being able to watch his sister's softball games

Pretty nice facility. They need to replace some awnings and I wish there was a separate address for each field or they had big maps everywhere showing where the fields are because it's so big. Hiking from one end of the park to the other is not an option if you want to be on time for your game.

Best softball fields in town! Great location. Very well maintained with pride. Many of the bleachers have covered sunscreens that also protect from foul balls. Nice snack bar. A great group of volunteers, sponsors, coaches, and leaders. Also a nice park for the siblings to play on and keep busy while their sister plays ball. Ample parking too.

Extremely nice. One thing they didn't think of though is warm up areas for the teams when all fields are in use on fields 7-12. Many teams had to resort to the dry moonscape lake bed. But, wonderful facility overall.

Nice park. Fields and spectator areas clean and well maintained. Layout is decent but is split between upper and lower pods. Parking is a little difficult to figure out, especially for the lower pod and depending on which field you're trying to get to, the walk from parking to the field and back can be a hike. Plan to arrive early for the walk from parking. Restrooms could use some better care too, but were usable. Concession area was good.

Ample parking unless a full slate of games are scheduled. Knowing what field you are visiting will impact your parking area choice.

Lousy place to walk the dog. There was a sign for the "Trail Rules" but there are no trails. Only pathways that take you from one ball field to another.
